Chapter 118: Chapter 120: Heroic Spirit, Free Coach, Self-Teaching, Mr. Emiya
Rin's kick didn't just embarrass Shinji in reality; even the Shinji on the TV screen felt humiliated.
In order to get back at Rin, Matou Shinji was about to switch into his scumbag mode.
Unfortunately for him, just as his hand touched Rin's thigh, before he could do anything "scummy," he was interrupted.
Lancer suddenly appeared and punched "Scumbag Shinji" away.
Seeing Shinji knocked out on the side, the male audience had a mixed feeling that was hard to describe.
On one hand, they were relieved that Rin wasn't "violated," but on the other hand, they felt regret because the abrupt interruption deprived them of a further "reward."
"I wonder how Tohsaka-senpai would feel seeing this scene," Sakura sighed regretfully. "It's really a shame that she went to study abroad in the UK, so I can't see her immediate reaction."
"I don't think she'll be able to see it," Shinji said with a smirk.
"Apparently, that girl has already blown up five TVs in her dorm trying to watch TV, and Waver has strictly forbidden Rin from using any electronic devices in the dorm."
"Blown up TVs?" Saber and Sakura asked curiously at the same time.
"Because labor costs in the UK are too expensive, Rin tried to assemble the TV herself. Who knows how she did it, but she managed to turn the TV into a bomb."
To save Rin's last bit of dignity, Shinji didn't fully share what Waver had complained to him about.
These explosions not only almost destroyed Rin's dorm but also affected the room next door, which just so happened to be occupied by a certain young lady from Northern Europe.
As the saying goes, fate works in mysterious ways.
In Shinji's view, it was destiny that those two young ladies would meet at the Clock Tower in this parallel world.
And that was that.
Even though the Third Holy Grail War never took place, and the connection between the Tohsaka and Edelfelt families was limited to their use of Jewel Magecraft, some people just naturally clash.
Shinji didn't know the specific details, but the result was that Waver sent him a thick stack of bills for property damage in the Modern Magecraft department.
And this was the real reason why Waver had called Shinji.
By the way, Waver sent Shinji half of the total bill (the other half was sent to the Edelfelt family).
Only Shinji knew about this in all of Fuyuki City. He secretly hid the bill, planning to give Rin a big "surprise" later on.
"Anyway, Rin will either pay up or work for me for the rest of her life—I'll let her choose."
Just imagining that proud young lady being forced to humble herself over money made Shinji feel as refreshed as drinking a cold Sprite on a hot summer day.
"Oh, I'm just so happy."
Smack
Sakura interrupted Shinji's grin with a karate chop.
"Onii-sama, please don't smile so disgustingly."
"...Alright."

Tohsaka Rin on the screen had no idea how she was being treated in reality.
The Rin in the drama was in a state of complete shock.
Because the person who appeared right after Lancer was none other than Kirei Kotomine.
The audience watching the screen, however, wasn't too surprised.
Those who had seen the movie already knew that he was Lancer's Master, so his appearance here was no surprise.
Still, when they thought about how Shirou chose the Einzbern Castle as the battlefield because he thought they wouldn't be disturbed, only to have all the remaining Holy Grail War participants show up there, many in the audience couldn't help but laugh.
Kirei then turned into an "Ask-Me-Anything" person, proudly telling Tohsaka Rin that he had killed her father and revealing his entire plan.
It's not a big deal; the audience already knew what Kirei Kotomine had done.
What truly surprised them was the moment that followed.
"Commit suicide, Lancer."
After clearly refusing to harm Rin, Kirei Kotomine used a Command Spell without hesitation to end Lancer's life.
"Pfft—hahaha!"
At Type-Moon Company, Gilgamesh and several other male Heroic Spirits burst into unrestrained laughter, slapping their thighs.
"Oh, Cu Chulainn is dead," Iskandar remarked regretfully, smacking his lips as if he found the way Cu Chulainn exited the stage too unfortunate.
Though Enkidu didn't laugh out loud, his eyes were full of mirth. "How cruel... They should have let you leave with more dignity."
In contrast to their subtle reactions, Gilgamesh went straight for Cu Chulainn's blood pressure.
"How many times has this happened now! Hey, mongrel, did you see that? You're dead again!"
Gilgamesh spoke as he slapped Cu Chulainn on the shoulder. "Come on, say something!"
"Gilgamesh, don't be so hasty!" Cu Chulainn countered, pounding the table. "At least I died by suicide. You were kicked off the stage! It's obvious who's more embarrassing between the two of us."
That statement wiped the smile off Gilgamesh's face. "That was because of Shinji's script! How could I, the King of Heroes, possibly lose to mere humans otherwise?"
"Which version of you didn't die in a flashy way?" Cu Chulainn shot back. "Admit it, King of Heroes. You're just a show-off who dies whenever you act out."
"I've told you, it was because of Shinji's script!" Gilgamesh jumped up in frustration.
Cu Chulainn retorted, "Well, I died because of my Master's script! What's the difference?"
"There's a huge difference! Hey, Faker, you say something too..." Gilgamesh turned around, only to find Archer squatting in a corner with a lifeless expression.
"Faker, what's up with you? Come on, watch the show," Gilgamesh called out. "Isn't this your favorite TV series?"
Archer, resting with his eyes closed, let out a cold chuckle. "When did it become my favorite? I was just in it, and don't talk to me."
"Whatever." Gilgamesh shook his head. "Let's just keep watching TV. Hey, someone, bring me a drink."
Yan Qing snorted, "Get it yourself. I'm watching TV."
"Tch, Enkidu..." Gilgamesh started, but was immediately silenced by a look from his friend.
"Gil, what were you going to say?"
"Nothing," Gilgamesh muttered, awkwardly smiling as he refocused on the TV.
As for the drink, he'd just take one from his Gate of Babylon.
Though it would deplete his treasury, Gilgamesh didn't want to leave the couch—he was engrossed in the show.
So far, Gilgamesh had enjoyed UBW, the TV series.
As for the upcoming scenes where he gets defeated by Shirou, Gilgamesh had no intention of watching those from the start.

With Tohsaka Rin's story arc concluded, the camera finally shifted back to the battle between the two Shirou Emiyas.
To build suspense for the battle's outcome, Shinji inserted flashback scenes of both characters before the fight began, allowing the audience to gain a deeper understanding of them and speculate on who might win.
Archer's flashbacks depicted his past as a Counter Guardian—how he made a contract with the Counter Force, how he died, and how he became a cleanup agent afterward.
On the other hand, Shirou Emiya's memories were much simpler—just one night, the night he parted ways with Kiritsugu.
This was both the end of Emiya Kiritsugu and the beginning of Emiya Shirou.
Shinji subtly hinted here that Shirou would win the battle.
In the official Fate/Zero novel released earlier, Kiritsugu mentioned that as long as Shirou didn't forget that night, he would never lose his way.
The Heroic Spirit EMIYA had long lost himself on the path of a hero, but Shirou Emiya hadn't, which is why he could emerge victorious.
The battle commenced.
The same swords, the same techniques clashed against each other.
This fight could be described as a mirror match; the moves used by Shirou and Archer were identical.
However, as a novice, Shirou Emiya was clearly less skilled, and the strength of his projected Noble Phantasms was far inferior to Archer's.
Archer used this advantage to repeatedly destroy Shirou's Noble Phantasms and wound him.
After just a few rounds, Shirou was already covered in injuries.
Despite using the same swords and techniques, there was an insurmountable gap between the two.
"Did you really think your Kanshou and mine are equal? Your understanding of the basic structure is still too naive."
Archer taunted his past self.
"No matter how closely they resemble each other in appearance and your imagination, if they lack the proper 'logic' in their construction, they'll naturally collapse. Even if they're just imagined, if they defy reason, they'll disintegrate!"
With that, he struck Shirou again.
"This guy is basically a training NPC for the protagonist." Hearing these lines, Aoko couldn't help but comment, "Archer might as well be a free coach, feeding Shirou Emiya moves."
Aoko's guess wasn't entirely wrong.
As the same entity, Shirou Emiya and Heroic Spirit EMIYA's simultaneous existence caused a fierce "contradiction." Every time they made physical contact, they influenced each other.
For Archer, this influence was just a mild discomfort.
But for Shirou Emiya, it was more than that.
He began to mimic sword techniques from "himself," even learning the replication technique from "himself," and gradually becoming more skilled at it.
The increasing speed of his projected Noble Phantasms was the best proof!
This was only natural, as Heroic Spirit EIYA's techniques were developed over long years and were the "most suitable combat methods for Shirou Emiya."
The gap between the two was closing at a visible rate—Shirou Emiya was sprinting toward becoming his other self!
"You have no chance of winning!"
Archer declared to Shirou, raising his twin swords high to deliver a decisive blow.
Shirou once again crossed his twin blades into a cross formation and raised them.
For the umpteenth time, the identical black and white swords clashed.
Bang!
"What?"
Archer looked on in shock.
The twin swords in Shirou's hands hadn't shattered like before but had actually blocked his attack.
This was the first time it had happened!
