In Game of thrones with Sci fi Military system

Chapter 25: Chapter 25

Daenerys had become a familiar sight in the streets of Pentos. She walked among the people daily, learning about their lives and understanding their concerns. She would listen intently to merchants complaining about rising costs, farmers asking for better irrigation systems, and mothers worried about their children's future.

Though she always had knights and soldiers at her side usually led by Leon or Raven her approachable demeanor made her beloved among the common folk.

One day, a little girl ran up to her, holding a small, crudely crafted wooden dragon. "For the Dragon Queen!" the child said, shyly offering her the toy.

Daenerys knelt down, accepting the gift with a warm smile. "Thank you, little one. What's your name?"

"I'm Lyra," the girl replied.

"Lyra, I'll treasure this always," Daenerys said before standing and addressing the gathered crowd. "Pentos will be a place where children like Lyra grow up safe and free. That is my promise to you."

Back in the castle, Alex reviewed the recent developments. The dealings with Braavos and Volantis had gone smoothly. Both factions had agreed to trade and non-aggression pacts, and the envoys had left with gifts to cement their new alliances.

Just as Alex was enjoying a rare moment of calm, the System chimed in:

New Mission Issued:

Objective: Take control of the Free Cities of Myr, Lys, and Tyrosh.

Free all slaves.

Eliminate the corrupt ruling bodies.

Rewards:

For each city: 1 Law and Finance Management Team, 1 Small Warship with a Full Crew, 1 Battalion of Soldiers and 10000 credits for each city.

Time Limit: 1 Year.

Alex leaned back in his chair, a smirk on his face. He already knew these cities were deeply entrenched in slavery and corruption. Taking them over would not only align with his principles but also significantly expand his power.

"This will be fun," Alex muttered.

Later that evening, Alex walked to the castle's backyard. Ancalagon was lounging in the far corner, his obsidian scales glinting in the fading sunlight. Servants kept a wide berth, intimidated by his imposing appearance.

Nearby, Daenerys was playing with the other two dragons, running her fingers along their scales as they chirped and flapped their wings.

Alex approached her, his boots crunching on the gravel. "They seem to love you," he said, watching the dragons nuzzle against her hands.

Daenerys turned, smiling. "They're remarkable creatures. It feels like they're a part of me."

Alex nodded, leaning against a nearby pillar. "Dany, have you ever heard of the Doom of Valyria?"

Her smile faded slightly. "Only fragments. It's said to be a great catastrophe, a curse that destroyed my ancestors' homeland. But the details are… scarce."

Alex crossed his arms, his tone turning serious. "The Doom wasn't just a random event. Some say it was caused by the Valyrians themselves greed, hubris, and the overuse of magic. They controlled dragons and bent the world to their will, but they paid the price for their arrogance."

Daenerys listened intently, her expression thoughtful. "Do you think we'll suffer the same fate?"

"No," Alex said firmly. "Because we're not them. Valyria fell because they stopped listening to the world and started thinking they were gods. We'll build something different something lasting. And it starts with understanding the mistakes of the past."

Daenerys nodded, the weight of his words settling over her. "Thank you, Alex."

Alex smirked. "That's why I'm here. Now, come on. Let's get back inside. Tomorrow, we start planning for future".

As they walked back toward the castle, Ancalagon let out a low rumble, almost as if in approval.

As the night deepened, Alex stood on the balcony of his chambers, overlooking Pentos. The city was alive with activity, even after dark. Fires from forges lit the sky, and the sounds of construction echoed through the streets.

He clenched his fists, determination blazing in his eyes.

"Myr, Lys, Tyrosh," he whispered. "You're next." Alex had already thought about going after these free cities, who are just free in name but slavery is out in open for world. So, even if there was no mission He would have done it on its own.

Alex stood in the grand hall of the castle, where Manuul awaited him. The former magistrate's advisor had proven his loyalty and usefulness since Alex's rise to power.

"Manuul," Alex began, his tone calm but authoritative. "You've done well so far, showing loyalty and competence. As a reward, I'm promoting you. From now on, you'll oversee all port operations and trade in Pentos. You'll work closely with the financial team to ensure everything runs smoothly."

Manuul's eyes widened in disbelief. "Me? Port and trade? My lord… I don't know what to say."

"Say that you'll prove yourself," Alex replied with a faint smile.

Manuul immediately bowed low. "I swear, my lord, I will not disappoint you. I'll make the port the busiest and most profitable in Essos."

"I'll hold you to that," Alex said. "Now go. There's much to do."

Manuul left, his heart brimming with pride and determination. Under the rule of Alex and Daenerys, he had found a purpose he never thought possible.

Over the next few days, Alex turned his attention back to the development of Pentos. He allocated resources to further repair the roads, build additional public amenities, and expand the docks to accommodate more trade ships.

The Unsullied, who had remained a crucial part of Alex's army, were undergoing intensive training. Alex trusted their unwavering loyalty and discipline, making them the perfect candidates for firearm training. While the standard soldiers were being trained in conventional warfare, the Unsullied were learning to master firearms, including the AR-15 guns Alex had acquired earlier.

To maintain secrecy and ensure preparedness, Alex kept the firearms locked in the System's Inventory, only to be distributed once the troops were fully trained. That's why he choose Unsullied that he used system to summon them, because there is no question to their loyalty and than those 200 can each be the leaders of their individual squad. So, that's why Alex only choose to arms those from system, because who knows how many spies are there in pentos.

Far away in Braavos, in the shadows of the towering House of Black and White, a figure cloaked in dark robes approached one of the faceless men. The room was dimly lit, the air thick with the scent of incense.

"I seek your services," the figure said, placing a large pouch of gold coins on the table. "The new rulers of Pentos must be eliminated."

The faceless man, his face shifting slightly under the light, examined the coins. "This is a significant task. Dragons are said to guard them. It will require a substantial price."

"How much?"

The faceless man named a sum so exorbitant that the cloaked figure gasped. After a moment of hesitation, he nodded. "Done."

As the client left, another faceless man stepped forward. "This will not be easy," he said quietly. "If the rumors are true, the dragons will make this task nearly impossible."

"Perhaps," the first replied. "But the Many-Faced God does not shy from challenges. We will see if these rulers of Pentos are truly untouchable and those dragons are just seemed to be born just few weeks ago, they probably can't fly or breathe fire until they are mature enough".

That evening, Alex stood in the castle courtyard, watching as Ancalagon practiced flying short distances with his newly strengthened wings. Daenerys was nearby, gently encouraging the other two dragons to spread their wings as well.

Alex called Daenerys over. "Dany, I want to talk to you about something important."

She walked over, brushing a strand of silver hair from her face. "What is it?"

"I've been focusing on strengthening our army and rebuilding Pentos, but I suspect we'll face more than just armies in the future. Assassins, sabotage… perhaps even something worse."

Daenerys frowned. "Do you think someone will try to kill us?"

"It's not a matter of if, but when," Alex said. "We're not just rulers now, You are a Targaryen with 3 dragons under her thumb. Don't you know what your Ancestor did. Argon the conqueror and That's what makes us targets."

Daenerys nodded solemnly. "Then we'll be ready. Whatever comes, we'll face it together."

Alex smiled faintly. "That's what I wanted to hear. Now, let's keep building. We have a lot to do before we march on Myr, Lys, and Tyrosh."

As night fell over Pentos, Alex stood on the balcony of his chambers, gazing out at the city. The flickering lights of lanterns and torches illuminated the streets, a testament to the life returning to the once-decaying city.

In the distance, Ancalagon roared, his powerful voice echoing through the night. Even though it was still premature roar, Alex could still recognise him. Soon he came back to castle, he likes to sleep in Alex's chambers because of systems use on him, his affection and caring for Alex increased a lot. But soon Alex will have to find new places for him to stay because of his growing size. Who knows in future he'll be sleeping out in planes because of his sheer size.
