Chapter 128: Chapter 127

Back when Uvogin and Nobunaga's fight was set for broadcast, the Sky Arena sold the broadcasting rights and advertising fees at a sky-high price.

But in a twist of fate, the two fighters vanished, turning the event into a colossal joke.

The merchants who had paid hefty sums but didn't see the desired outcome were furious, refusing to let the Sky Arena off the hook.

While the Sky Arena was busy dealing with these angry merchants, they received word from the casinos.

Feeling humiliated and frustrated, the Sky Arena immediately sent their top fighters to capture the troublemaker and give them a thorough beating.

Of course, Machi wasn't about to sit still.

Already highly vigilant, Machi instantly used the Blind Spot Star that Morin had given her.

With that, she disappeared from everyone's sight.

Then, she calmly observed how the Sky Arena and casino would handle the aftermath.

"Like Chrollo said, we're thieves to begin with."

After shredding all the casino's receipts in her hands, Machi raided their vault and took her rightful share of the money.

As for the rest, she didn't touch a single cent but instead dumped two barrels of gasoline into the vault.

Then, she lit a match.

Boom!!

The roaring flames lit up half the city that housed the Sky Arena.

Uvogin and Nobunaga, on the other hand, remained the same, continuing their journey, picking fights with strong opponents along the way, honing their skills through constant battles.

Shalnark, the boyish, cheerful face of the group, carried on with his carefree womanizing, effortlessly charming ladies while still adhering to his nature as a thief.

However, after failing to obtain restricted or secret information online, Shalnark decided he would take the Hunter Exam to secure his Hunter License.

Morin's first disciple, Kastro, also embarked on a journey of self-improvement, traveling through cities and challenging renowned dojos wherever he went.

At night, he would frequent underground fight clubs, seeking to experience the stark difference between formal sparring and life-or-death brawls.

Meanwhile, the world's greatest assassin family, the Zoldyck family, welcomed their fourth son, Kalluto Zoldyck.

The most talented of them, Killua Zoldyck, was just three years old.

Zeno Zoldyck ventured out to find a suitable magical beast as a guard dog and named it Mike.

In the small East Gorteau Republic on the southern edge of the Yorbian continent, a blind girl named Komugi invented the unbeatable "Fox Formation" in Gungi, inspiring a revolution in the board game world.

Ging, equipped with Morin's Restoration Ray Lamp, continued restoring the Ruins of Ruluka with his companions.

Phantom Troupe leader Chrollo began to seek clues about the Dark Continent.

During this time, he established connections with the Elders of Meteor City over their vagrant population, becoming a major financial backer of Meteor City's military forces.

Three months after parting ways with Morin, Pakunoda fell ill, vomiting frequently. Initially believing she might be pregnant, as suggested by online searches, she later discovered it was due to a local virus.

From that moment on, Pakunoda vowed never to trust online medical advice again.

Thus, while everyone embarked on their own colorful journeys, the year 1990 quietly passed.

And just like that, it was 1991.

Kakin Kingdom - Inside the Palace of the Seventh Prince

"You passed the Hunter Exam, huh?"

On the balcony, Morin basked in the sunlight, listening to the report from his first disciple, Kastro.

"Yes, Master," Kastro replied with a grin.

"After a year of training, I felt ready to become a Hunter, so I took this year's exam."

"In the end, I didn't let you down. I passed all the rounds and obtained my license."

On the other end of the call, Kastro walked through the streets, occasionally twirling his Hunter License, drawing envious stares from passersby.

"Any trouble?"

"None at all," Kastro replied, shaking his head. "Except for some initial commotion caused by a so-called rookie killer named Tonpa. Other than that, it was fine."

"Tonpa, huh?"

Thinking of the "immortal" rookie-killer Tonpa who participated in every exam, Morin couldn't help but chuckle.

"This time, his luck wasn't great—he ran into me. And when he tried harassing a participant named Shalnark, he was taught a harsh lesson," Kastro added.

"Shalnark?" Morin's eyes gleamed. "He's taking the Hunter Exam too?"

"You know him, Master?" Kastro asked, his tone turning slightly serious.

"That guy's strong—exceptionally skilled and composed in every aspect. Among all the participants this year, he might be the most formidable."

"Is that so?"

Morin could imagine this outcome.

Still, even someone like Tonpa fell for Shalnark's boyish charm?

Some veteran he was…

"How do you think you compare to Shalnark?" Morin teased.

"I don't know about his abilities, but in terms of experience and decisiveness, he's ahead of me," Kastro admitted honestly.

But then, with confidence gleaming in his eyes—

"But when it comes to raw strength, he's no match for me!"

Kastro grinned proudly. "If it came to a life-and-death battle, I could take him down before he even activated his Nen abilities."

Having trained extensively under Morin and Ging, Kastro had the skill and confidence to back up his words.

If Shalnark faced him head-on and Kastro unleashed his Phantom Tiger Bite Fist, Shalnark wouldn't stand a chance—unless he activated his "Super Saiyan" single-player mode. (TL:??)

Otherwise, Kastro would dominate him.

"I traveled everywhere before the Hunter Exam, but I still couldn't find Grandmaster Biscuit's whereabouts," Kastro said apologetically, sounding a little dejected.

"No worries. She's elusive as ever," Morin reassured. "So, how was the Hunter Exam?"

"Some parts were easy; others were tough. They eliminated a lot of participants," Kastro reflected.

"The exam had five rounds. Some examiners were weak—honestly, I could've taken them out with one punch. The harder tests came from the stronger examiners."

"There were two standouts: one was Mizaistom, a famous Crime Hunter and part-time private security lawyer who already holds a star.

"The other was Satotz, a Ruin Hunter who seemed friendly but created incredibly difficult tests."

"Mizaistom and Satotz, huh…"

Morin's mind drifted to the future: one of the pillars of the Hunter Association and members of the Zodiac Twelve.

"What did you think of them?" Morin asked.

"I didn't see them fight, but if we compare pure aura strength, I'd say I have the edge."

Indeed, thanks to Morin and Ging's rigorous training, Kastro had a rock-solid foundation and talent beyond normal standards.

"The final round was overseen by Netero himself," Kastro added, voice tinged with excitement.
