Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Arrival in Orange Town

A day had passed since Luffy, Oliver, and Zoro had been drifting in the middle of the sea without knowing where they were or having any food.

"I'm starving!" Luffy complained in a tired tone.

"That's why I said we should have rationed the food instead of eating everything at night," Oliver said, also feeling quite hungry.

"That's because he eats too much," Zoro remarked.

"You're no different. You drank all the alcohol we had," Oliver reprimanded him.

"I had to drink something," Zoro replied. "By the way, don't you think it's strange that Luffy wants to become the King of the Pirates without knowing anything about navigation?"

"I don't think it's strange at all," Oliver responded.

"That's right! I just go wherever the current takes me. And weren't you a bounty hunter chasing pirates across the seas?" Luffy asked Zoro.

"I don't remember ever saying I was a bounty hunter. I set sail in search of a certain man, but I got lost and couldn't return home. So I had no choice but to hunt pirates to make a living," Zoro explained to them.

Luffy and Oliver looked at each other and then back at Zoro.

"So, you got lost?" They both asked.

"Don't say it like that!" Zoro yelled, annoyed. "Anyway, what kind of pirates don't know how to sail a ship? It's ridiculous! At this rate, we'll never reach the Grand Line. We need to recruit a navigator as soon as possible."

"I agree with Zoro. Without a navigator, we might not even make it out of the East Blue," Oliver said, remembering everything they had overcome thanks to Nami's help.

"And we need a musician, and a cook, and a—" Luffy couldn't finish because Zoro yelled at him.

"IDIOT! SET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!"

Suddenly, their stomachs growled from hunger, so they lay back in the boat.

They looked up at the sky and saw a giant bird.

'A bird? That means we must be near Orange Town,' Oliver thought as he saw the bird.

"Let's eat it!" Luffy suggested with a grin.

"What? How are we supposed to do that?" Zoro asked.

"I'll take care of it! Gomu Gomu no Rocket!"

Luffy grabbed onto the boat's mast and launched himself toward the large bird in the sky.

"He's insane," Zoro said, watching him fly.

"How is he going to get back down?" Oliver asked. "Are we going to have to fish him out of the water?"

"I don't know… Huh?"

Both of them watched as Luffy got stuck because the bird grabbed him by the head.

"AAAAAHHHH!! HELP ME!!" Luffy screamed in terror.

"IDIOT!" Zoro shouted.

"HAHAHA!" Oliver started laughing at Luffy being trapped.

"Stop laughing and grab a paddle!" Zoro yelled angrily.

Both of them grabbed the oars and started rowing as fast as they could to try and catch up with Luffy.

"Row faster!" Zoro shouted.

"What do you think I'm trying to do?!" Oliver yelled back.

As they rowed, Luffy kept drifting further and further away.

"Hey! There's a boat!"

"Hey! Please, stop!"

Some people ahead of them started shouting.

"There are people in the way? Right now?" Zoro said, irritated.

"If you want to be saved, get on the boat! If not, we'll run you over!" Oliver shouted.

"WHAAAAT?!" The pirates yelled in shock.

And so, Oliver and Zoro continued rowing at full speed, ready to plow through them, but luckily, the three pirates managed to climb onto the boat.

"Hehehe, you actually made it! Not bad!" Zoro said with a grin, still looking toward Luffy.

"I didn't think they could do it," Oliver added.

"WERE YOU PLANNING TO KILL US?!" The three pirates shouted angrily.

The three were relieved that they managed to get on board, but then the pirates suddenly pulled out their weapons.

"Stop the boat. We are pirates from Buggy the Clown's crew. We're taking this boat…"

"Huh?" Oliver and Zoro looked at them, annoyed.

A few seconds later, Buggy's pirates were rowing the boat, completely beaten and covered in bruises.

"Jojojojo. We didn't know you were Pirate Hunter Zoro! And we didn't know you had company," one of the pirates said, apologetically putting his hands together while all three of them sweated nervously.

The pirates apologized for what they had tried to do, while Oliver tried to spot Luffy but had lost sight of him.

"Because of your clowns, we lost track of our nakama. Whatever, just keep rowing straight..." Zoro ordered, still annoyed.

"If anything happens to our Captain, I'll throw you off this boat," Oliver warned.

"YES!!" The three pirates shouted in fear.

"By the way, why were you drifting?" Zoro asked.

"I'LL TELL YOU WHY! Thanks for reminding us!" one of the pirates said.

"It was that girl!"

"Yeah! She's a demon!"

"But really beautiful!"

They began telling their story about how they had just looted a ship filled with treasure when they spotted another ship with a woman passed out on board.

They approached to check on her, and she told them that she had been shipwrecked with no supplies and would give them her treasure.

They accepted, so they boarded her ship to see the treasure, but in a moment of distraction, she jumped onto their ship and sailed away, leaving them with nothing.

Then, a storm suddenly hit, destroying their ship and leaving them stranded at sea.

"And that's what happened!"

"Terrible, right?"

"Incredible, that girl seems to know the weather and the sea very well. She would make an amazing navigator, don't you think?" Zoro said, impressed.

"Well, we'll have to find her and see if Luffy accepts her," Oliver said, already knowing what was going to happen.

"If I find her, I'll kill her!"

"First, we need to get our loot back!"

"If we return empty-handed, Buggy-sama will be furious!"

The pirates were terrified of what their captain would do to them.

"Who is this Buggy you keep talking about?" Zoro asked, curious.

"He's the Captain of the Buggy Pirates. He has a bounty of 15 million berries and is known as Buggy the Clown," Oliver said.

"How do you know that?" Zoro asked.

"I know several people with high bounties in the East Blue," Oliver replied.

"He's our Captain. He ate a Devil Fruit. In any case, he's a fearsome man," one of the pirates said.

"A Devil Fruit?" Zoro asked curiously.

"Just like Luffy," Oliver noted.

[Mission: Defeat the Buggy Pirates]

[Reward: 15,000,000 Belly and Devil Fruit Gacha Token]

Oliver's eyes almost popped out of their sockets when he saw how much Belly he could earn.

'That's a lot of Belly. I could try to get another Devil Fruit,' he thought with a small smile. "Hey, row faster. Our Captain might be in danger."

Buggy's pirates started rowing at full speed to reach Orange Town as soon as possible.

After several minutes, they finally arrived at Orange Town.

"We've arrived, Mr. Zoro, Mr. Oliver," the pirates said.

"The town is empty? I don't see anyone," Zoro asked.

"That's right, sir," they replied again.

"The truth is, the town has been taken over by Captain Buggy," one of the pirates explained.

"Well then, can you take us to Buggy? I need to ask him about our Captain," Zoro said.

"I don't think that'll be too hard," Oliver added.

In the distance, an explosion was heard.

"I'm pretty sure if we head over there, we'll find Buggy," Oliver said.

"Then let's go."

And so, Oliver and Zoro arrived at Orange Town, planning to find their Captain.

And Oliver was excited to finally meet the Navigator who could do things no other navigator in the sea could.
