Chapter 21: Chapter 21

Axel, Adventurer's Guild.

"Guys, it's time to run!"

"Forming a group to escape, who wants to join me?"

"Looking for a mage, priority for high-level ones with teleportation skills!"

"I have a mount, who wants to escape with me? Only girls allowed, I don't like sitting with guys."

Luna looked at the adventurers who were already calmly preparing to run away and covered her face helplessly. The quality of adventurers here was really concerning.

Although the adventurers in Arcanretia were also preparing to flee, their reactions weren't as swift.

They were still hesitating whether to abandon their city and belongings to escape elsewhere. Their hearts were filled with doubt.

But the adventurers in Axel had no such concerns. They only felt a bit of regret.

Once they left, they wouldn't be able to visit the Succubus Sisters' shop anymore. They wondered if the sisters would consider opening a branch in another city.

"Everyone, please don't run away! If we work hard, we can definitely overcome this crisis. Let's give it our all!"

Wiz tried to encourage the fleeing adventurers with her voice, which was as soft as a mosquito's buzz.

"I've prepared healing potions, mana potions, and various buff potions for everyone. Let's work together to protect our home!"

"Thanks, Wiz-san."

"The potions are really nice."

"So, did everyone agree?"

Seeing everyone take the potions from her hands, Wiz's eyes sparkled with hope, thinking her words had moved them.

"Um, I have something to do, so I'll be leaving first!"

"My mom is calling me back home, goodbye!"

"Wiz-san, you should run too! Maybe we'll meet again in another city!"

Without hesitation, everyone began to run away. Just because they took the potions didn't mean they had to do anything in return. They were just taking advantage of the situation.

"Everyone!"

Wiz looked at them with a helpless expression. This wasn't how adventurers were supposed to act.

Aren't adventurers supposed to be brave warriors who challenge danger even when they know the risks?

"Wiz-san! Wiz-san! Wiz-san!"

"Yes? What's the matter?"

The absent-minded Wiz was brought back to reality by Luna calling her. She responded quickly.

"Wiz-san, I just received a message. There are adventurers from Arcanretia coming to help, but due to distance limitations, they can't get here directly."

"I remember you mentioned before that you can use teleportation magic and have a teleportation point in Arcanretia, right?"

"Could you help bring them over? Please, we're counting on you!"

Luna bowed deeply, her tone filled with sincere pleading.

"Yes! If it's to protect the town, I'm willing to help!"

Wiz nodded. Since she was already committed to protecting the town, there was no way she would refuse. She immediately began to cast teleportation magic.

Luna anxiously waited for Wiz's return. About ten minutes later, Wiz reappeared, accompanied by a familiar figure and a nun in religious attire.

"Teleportation magic is really convenient. It's a pity I don't have any magic talent. Otherwise, I'd definitely learn teleportation magic."

"Luna-san, it's been a while."

Kei sighed with a bit of envy towards magic, then greeted Luna with a friendly smile.

"Kei-san… So you're the one who came to help."

Luna suddenly understood. Who else but Kei would be willing to come and assist from Arcanretia?

"Hey! Don't just focus on him, I came to help too!"

"I'm from the Axis Church. Since I saved you all, you better repay me properly. Preferably, the whole town should join the Axis Church."

"Oh, right, let me tell you about the benefits of joining. Free soap, hot spring discounts, and more…"

Even now, the nun didn't forget to promote her faith. Her devotion to Aqua was certainly genuine!

"Enough nonsense, let's go outside the city and prepare to face the Red Dragon!"

Kei cut her off, not wasting time with unnecessary words. He could already feel a massive life force quickly approaching from a distance.

He stepped out of the Adventurer's Guild, followed by Wiz, Luna, and the nun.

"That's the Quest King! He's back!"

"Looks like he's going to fight the Red Dragon!"

"Is he going alone? That's impossible, right?"

The adventurers' noisy discussions came to an end. Their curiosity and anticipation led them to follow Kei.

When playing Russian Roulette with one bullet, everyone wishes for you to die. But when you load five bullets, everyone hopes you survive.

People are always fascinated by miracles, no matter how slim the chances are.

This was one of those times. Although they didn't believe Kei could defeat the Red Dragon, they couldn't resist their curiosity to see the outcome.

When everyone reached the top of the city walls, they dared not go any further.

Kei walked out of the city alone and stood outside, watching the growing black dot in the sky.

He began to gather his strength quietly.

"Divine Blessing!"

Suddenly, several golden magic circles appeared in the sky. The nun, holding her staff, was surrounded by a holy light.

"Don't underestimate me! I may have used some slightly underhanded methods to spread my faith, but I'm still a real High Priest!"

"And a high-level one at that! Even though I'm not great at combat, when it comes to support and healing, the Axis Church is a hundred times better than the Eris Church!"

Originally, the nun only followed Kei to convince him not to throw his life away. But when she heard he was going to face the Red Dragon alone...

She couldn't help but feel excited! Before she knew it, she had followed him outside the city. Standing on the city wall, looking down at the lone figure of Kei...

For a moment, his back looked like that of a true hero! And in her excitement, she made her choice.

Go all out and give it everything! The teachings of the Axis Church are clear: Do what you want to do, and don't bring today's troubles into tomorrow!

"What profession is Kei-san?"

Wiz looked at Kei, who was empty-handed, and asked curiously, "A martial artist?"

"No, he's a Sword Saint."

Luna answered.

"Sword Saint and High Priest... That sounds so familiar."

Wiz suddenly remembered her former companions. Her party had once consisted of a Sword Saint and a High Priest, along with her as a Archwizard. Their adventurer team was quite famous back then.

"Kei-san, I can't fight, but here are all my remaining buff potions. And for you, Miss Nun, these are all my mana potions."

Wiz handed over everything she had left. Even if they succeeded in protecting the town, she'd be drinking plain water for the next half year.

During that time, she probably wouldn't even be able to afford sugar!
