Chapter 7: Chapter 7
[After three days of relentless effort, Caesar and Joseph finally climbed out from the bottom of the Hell Pillar.]
[But that didn't mean their training was over. On the contrary, it only meant that they had earned the right to be trained.]
[Half a month into their training...]
"Caesar, I just realized something!"
"What is it?"
"I noticed that Kei hasn't slept at all for three days and nights! He's been training non-stop, and he still looks full of energy! Like a total monster!"
"How do you know he didn't rest even once during those three days and nights?"
"Because I kept my eyes on him the entire time, of course! I'm telling you, not even for a single minute did he take a break!"
Caesar rolled his eyes at the excited Joseph, then turned over and pulled his blanket over himself.
Training continued tomorrow—he wasn't about to waste what little rest time he had talking to this idiot.
"I'm serious!"
Joseph glanced at Kei, who was still out in the ocean training. He was convinced—Kei definitely wasn't human. Maybe he was something even scarier than the Pillar Men!
…
The next morning.
Lisa Lisa sought out Kei.
"I want you to go with Caesar and Joseph to face the Pillar Men!"
"No. It'll just interfere with my training."
Kei rejected Lisa Lisa's proposal without hesitation.
"I'm serious this time! As Ripple users, we are destined to battle the Pillar Men! And besides, Joseph has already been poisoned."
"If we can't defeat them within a set time and obtain the antidote, Joseph will die."
Lisa Lisa spoke with grave seriousness.
"I can remove it."
"Hmm?"
"By using Ripple to completely contain the poison, preventing it from spreading, and then utilizing Ripple's absorption properties, I can extract it directly."
Kei explained calmly.
"Wha—?! You can even do that?!"
Lisa Lisa's eyes widened in shock. She already knew Kei was strong, but she hadn't realized he had reached this level.
"It's not a problem. I once practiced shattering the core of a stone without damaging its exterior."
"And I succeeded."
"If the poison is no longer an issue, we can take our time—train harder, grow stronger, and set up traps."
"We don't need the perfect plan, just a better one! Our goal is to devise a foolproof way to take them down before they even arrive!"
With Joseph's poison neutralized and the Super Aja in their possession, they now held complete control over the situation.
[At your suggestion, Lisa Lisa decided to give it a try.]
[Using her formidable Ripple mastery, she successfully extracted the poison from Joseph's body, astonishing everyone with your incredible abilities.]
[Under your guidance, the group began setting up various traps around the island while also spreading word about the Super Aja.]
[Soon, the three Pillar Men tracked the Red Stone's location and arrived on the island, each of them landing from different directions.]
"So, they chose to spread out as they landed? Seems like they're being cautious."
From their vantage point, Kei and the others observed everything.
...
Nighttime. A remote island.
Splitting up was both a dangerous and a safe choice. Safe because if something went wrong, they could quickly retreat into the sea.
Dangerous because if they were isolated, they could be taken down one by one.
"Should we pick them off one by one? We have a four-to-one advantage!"
Joseph, ever the 'gentleman,' immediately thought of ganging up on them. He was more than happy to give the enemy a choice:
Would they prefer being beaten four-against-one, or would they rather try taking on four opponents at once?
"No, we can't give them any chance to escape. I'll take on their leader—Kars."
"Lisa Lisa, you handle Wamuu. Caesar and Joseph, you deal with Esidisi."
Kei's eyes gleamed with excitement—he felt an inexplicable thrill, as if he was eager for this life-and-death battle.
"Isn't this a bit too risky?"
Lisa Lisa frowned. She wasn't worried about herself but about Kei, Caesar, and Joseph.
"We have both the terrain and preparation on our side! If we're too afraid to take even this much risk, we might as well quit being Ripple warriors and go sell vegetables instead."
With that, Kei leaped from their high vantage point and sprinted toward Kars.
"Two-on-one is still an advantage! Let's go!"
Joseph, watching Kei disappear into the night, immediately followed suit. With both him and Caesar against Esidisi, there shouldn't be a problem.
"Lisa Lisa, please believe in us! We'll win for sure!"
Caesar gave Lisa Lisa a determined look before diving into battle.
Lisa Lisa watched the young warriors charge forward, then let out a sigh.
"I really must be getting old."
"I keep worrying about these kids' safety… but I forgot—they're fearless warriors now."
Resolving to trust in them, Lisa Lisa leaped down as well, heading straight for Wamuu.
