Chapter 951: Explanations
Gradually, the seismic activity weakened, and the tremors ceased, leaving behind a disquieting ambiance that hung in the air like a heavy veil. Despite the cessation of the trembling, the lingering air of danger persisted, casting a tense shadow over the previously serene environment. The ominous energy remained, hinting at potential threats yet to reveal themselves.
"What they did this time…" Dana said and then sighed.
It didn't take long for everyone to understand what the ice dragons had done… Soon enough, they found several silhouettes approaching them from all directions. One didn't have to be a genius to know what those are and soon they confirmed that more of the blue lizards were surrounding them.
"We have to split in four sides, select four commanders to take over each side," Rain said when he saw Branden and Esmeralda opening their eyes widely. "I will help with the fighting, but I will do something else as well."
"All right," Esmeralda said after she recovered from the shock. "Roan will take the north, Liss and Asche will the East, Terra, Daniel, and Annie will take the East and we will take the south. Work fast, we don't have to form lines."
Everyone on the platform began to move to all sides and Rain began to float while taking a closer look at the mini dragons once more… he must have missed a few things that could have explained what was going on. It was impossible for the dragons to have summoned that many creatures, considering all the mana these creatures had, it was many times over larger than the ten thousand years old dragons.
"They couldn't have summoned so many creatures, it is impossible for them to be able to do something that would multiply their mana like this, even if they had recovered all of their mana on a single day," Rain thought and he fired some earth spears at the heads of the beasts.

"They are monsters recognized by the system, so they must have been studied by the system at some point," Larisa said. "A lot of things are weird considering their Numbers and characteristics, but they aren't monsters beyond reason."
Rain considered what could explain that situation. When faced with a complex situation or numerous possibilities, the process of elimination often leads to an interesting conclusion: the remaining possibility, no matter how improbable it may seem, tends to be the answer.
This principle, rooted in probability and reasoning, signifies that as all other plausible options are eliminated or disproven, the unlikely or unexpected possibility emerges as the likely solution.
In many instances, especially in complex scenarios or investigations, examining each possibility and ruling them out one by one helps narrow down the potential answers.
Even if a particular outcome seems improbable or far-fetched at first glance, if all other explanations are deemed implausible, the remaining choice, regardless of how unlikely it sounds, may hold the key to understanding the situation. Therefore, exploring even the most improbable scenarios is crucial to arrive at a comprehensive and accurate conclusion.
"... The dragons are propagating these spawns somehow," Rain said out loud. "Without using their energy, but their actual cellular characteristics."
"... Considering how they could repair themselves, maybe that makes sense," Larisa said.
"That ability was something that I wanted, but I never got…" Nigel added. "Dragons are natural when it comes regenerating fast, but these freaks don't look like they have this ability, so this could explain why. That still doesn't let us know how we can stop them from doing that."
The domain that the dragons created wasn't like anything like the one that Rain could create. It was powerful, but it lacked more skilled functionalities, so Rain couldn't imagine them creating a domain that would automatically summon their spawns by using the mana inside… their domain wasn't like a dungeon, but they sure knew a trick or two about them.
"Look on the bright side, everyone is getting much stronger," Nigel said. "I think that I would recover all of my memories using the blood of those things, but I also have the feeling that I shouldn't do that…"
That was reality… it wasn't a game. There was no way that the enemies would give the humans the chance to get stronger before fighting them when such a thing would clearly put the dragons in a dangerous situation… that could only be a part of a massive plot.
"I am going out for a bit, don't do anything dangerous," Rain said to Terra and then he jumped into one of those fissures.
Terra felt like her head was about to explode… even now Rain didn't change that much and did things without consulting others and she didn't have time to complain about it.
As Rain hurriedly traversed the length of the fissures, his suspicions were swiftly confirmed. The marks ran deep, reaching far beneath the snowy terrain and exposing the damaged layers of the ground. It was evident that something cataclysmic had occurred beneath the surface, creating these fissures that breached the once-frozen earth.
Upon closer inspection, Rain discovered the root cause of the chaos—a vast network of colossal roots extending deeply into the ground, exerting immense pressure on the terrain above. Nestled at the base of these gargantuan roots were peculiar, pulsating cocoons radiating with a powerful and ominous energy.
The energy exuding from these pulsating cocoons hinted at something significant and potentially dangerous. It was clear that these mysterious structures held a pivotal role in the unsettling events that had unfolded, hinting at a formidable force waiting to emerge from within.
"I don't like this, and I don't like my way of my brain explaining this either…" Rain thought. "Still, I can't help but think that the blue lizards came from these cocoons and where they got the nutrients to grow inside them…"
