Chapter 8: Chapter 8:Entering Shrek Academy

Chapter 8: Entering Shrek Academy

Long Tian stood outside the gates of Shrek Academy, the legendary institution known for producing some of the greatest soul masters in history. The towering gates bore the academy's emblem, a symbol of strength and perseverance. Long Tian smirked to himself.

"This is where legends are made? Let's see if it lives up to the hype."

Arrival at Shrek Academy

The moment Long Tian stepped through the gates, he attracted attention. His commanding aura and the faint glow of his spirit rings, even when suppressed, were enough to make students and teachers alike turn their heads.

Inside the academy, Dean Flender, with his hawk-like eyes, noticed the unusual energy ripple. He stepped forward, accompanied by several instructors, including Zhao Wuji and Yu Xiaogang.

"Young man," Flender said, his voice steady but cautious, "Shrek Academy only accepts monsters, not ordinary people. If you wish to join, you'll need to prove yourself."

Long Tian met Flender's gaze, unbothered. "Prove myself? That won't be a problem."

---

A Test of Strength

Flender gestured toward a training field. "Very well. Let's keep it simple. Defeat me, and you can join."

The students gathered around, whispering in excitement. It was rare for Flender to personally test new applicants.

Long Tian walked onto the field, his Celestial Dragon Spear appearing in his hand with a faint hum. He didn't release his spirit rings yet, opting to gauge Flender's strength first.

Flender activated his martial soul, Four-eyed Owl, and released his spirit rings: two yellow, two purple, and four black. His aura surged, his figure blurring as he took to the skies.

"Let's see how you handle this!" Flender called, diving toward Long Tian with incredible speed.

Long Tian smirked, raising his spear. With a casual flick of his wrist, he activated Skyshadow Oblivion, unleashing a vortex of shadows and fire that disrupted Flender's trajectory. The attack forced Flender to retreat, his expression turning serious.

"Impressive," Flender said, "but I'm not done yet!"

Flender unleashed his strongest skill, Sky-Hawk Dive, aiming to overwhelm Long Tian with a powerful aerial strike. However, Long Tian remained calm.

"Time to end this."

He released his spirit rings—one purple, three black, and one golden-black million-year ring. The sheer pressure from his rings stunned the crowd into silence.

"Void Shadow Spear!" Long Tian shouted, his spear glowing with dark energy. He hurled it toward Flender, the attack splitting the air with a deafening roar.

Flender tried to dodge, but the spear moved as if it had a mind of its own, striking him directly and sending him crashing to the ground.

When the dust cleared, Flender was on one knee, panting heavily. "I... concede," he said, a wry smile on his face. "You're no ordinary monster. Welcome to Shrek Academy."

Ning Rongrong's Secret

After enrolling, Long Tian quickly became the center of attention. Among those watching him closely was Ning Rongrong, the delicate yet proud princess of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan. She approached him with a confident smile.

"You may have impressed the dean," she said, "but you'll find that some challenges are harder than they seem."

Long Tian raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Care to elaborate?"

Ning Rongrong's smile grew. "I'll introduce you to someone who might give you a real challenge. Follow me."

She led him to a secluded area within the academy grounds, where an older man with a calm yet imposing presence awaited. His aura was that of a Title Douluo, and his spirit rings—two yellow, two purple, and five black—were a testament to his power.

"This is Uncle Chen," Ning Rongrong said. "He's here to test you."

Long Tian smirked. "Another test? Fine. Let's get started."

---

The Fight Against the Title Douluo

Uncle Chen activated his martial soul, a massive Blazing Lotus, and the temperature around them rose dramatically. "Young man," he said, "let's see how you fare against a true Title Douluo."

He launched a series of fiery lotus petals toward Long Tian, each one carrying devastating energy.

Long Tian dodged effortlessly, countering with Infernal Dragon Slash. The fiery dragon clashed with the lotus petals, creating explosions that shook the ground.

"Not bad," Uncle Chen admitted, "but let's see how you handle this!"

He unleashed his ninth spirit skill, Lotus Inferno, a massive fiery explosion that engulfed the battlefield.

But when the flames subsided, Long Tian stood unharmed, his golden-black ring glowing faintly. "Was that your strongest move?" he asked, his tone almost bored.

Uncle Chen's eyes widened. "Impossible...!"

Long Tian raised his spear, channeling his soul energy. "Let me show you what true power looks like."

"Supreme Solar Smash!"

A radiant orb of solar energy formed above his spear, growing larger by the second. He hurled it toward Uncle Chen, the sheer heat of the attack forcing the Title Douluo to activate all his defensive skills.

The orb exploded upon impact, creating a blinding flash of light. When the dust settled, Uncle Chen lay on the ground, defeated but alive.

---

A New Ally

Ning Rongrong stared at Long Tian in shock. "You defeated Uncle Chen... just like that?"

Long Tian turned to her, his expression calm. "If he's the best the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan has to offer, they'll need to step up their game."

Despite his words, Ning Rongrong's gaze softened. "You're stronger than I thought," she admitted. "Maybe there's more to you than just arrogance."

Long Tian smirked. "You'll find out soon enough."

---

A Growing Reputation

Word of Long Tian's feats spread quickly through Shrek Academy and beyond. His strength, combined with his confidence, made him a force to be reckoned with. But as his reputation grew, so did the challenges ahead.

In the shadows, powerful forces began to take notice of the young prodigy who had already defeated a Title Douluo. The road to supremacy was long, but for Long Tian, it was only the beginning.
