Infinite System Inheritor Return From The Abyss

Chapter 311: Specialization discovery(2)

Professor Sera explained, "This test will check how much physical and mental energy you have. Endurance is very important in awakening because if your body or mind gives up too easily, your mana flow can become unstable."

"For the first part, we'll do a running endurance test," she said. "You will run ten laps around the hall. Don't rush too much — pace yourselves. It's not about who finishes first. It's about how long you can keep going."

Nayoung, standing nearby, stretched her arms with determination. "I won't lose toyou guys!" she said, more to herself.

A few students chuckled. One boy joked, "Don't faint before finishing, Nayoung!"Nayoung turned and made a face at him, "You wish!"

The atmosphere lightened a little.

Professor Sera raised her hand and called out, "Ready... set... go!"

The students started running. Some rushed ahead quickly, while others kept a steady pace.Nathan and Elshienne stayed in the middle, neither too fast nor too slow continuing the laps outside around the training field.

Professor Sera, Alex, and Alexa followed at a slow walk, watching carefully. The sun was warm, and the breeze helped a little, but it was clear many students were starting to struggle.

Fast forward to later —Many students had already stopped before even reaching the tenth lap.S ome sat down on the grass, others leaned against the walls, catching their breath.

Professor Sera clapped her hands to gather attention and spoke loudly, "Alright! I'll now announce the students who finished the full ten laps!"

She looked at her notes and smiled proudly.

"First, Nathan and Elshienne both completed ten laps steadily."

Some students whispered among themselves in amazement.

"Wow, the twins again!"

"They didn't even look tired!"

Professor Sera continued, "Nayoung also finished ten laps — good job!" Nayoung stood proudly, smiling despite being a little out of breath.

"And Sion — nice work!"

"And lastly, Ara — congratulations!" Ara, a shy girl with glasses, gave a small bow to the professors.

Professor Sera added with a kind voice, "And Jin-Hyu! He finished nine laps — almost there. Good effort!"

Jin-Hyu scratched the back of his head, smiling awkwardly as his friends patted his back.

"Don't worry," Professor Sera said. "Endurance can be built with training. All of you did your best."

Alex and Alexa exchanged proud looks seeing Nathan and Elshienne among the top.Alexa whispered, "As expected from Seojun's siblings."

After resting outside for a while, Professor Sera clapped her hands again and spoke, "The next test is a mental test, not strength. I will be calling you one by one to come inside."

The students, still tired from the laps, sat scattered around the field, waiting. But the atmosphere wasn't good. Many students kept glancing at Nathan and Elshienne with mixed feelings.

Some whispered among themselves.

"They're just acting cocky," one boy said quietly.

"They were trained by top rankers, You know? Of course they're ahead of us!" another added with a frown.

"It's unfair. Some of us didn't get special training like that," a girl muttered.

More whispers spread around, agreeing. Some students thought Nathan and Elshienne had an advantage because of their calm mana flow and strong endurance. They believed that it was not because they were talented, but because they must have powerful parents behind them.

The jealousy was clear, but Nathan and Elshienne stayed silent, pretending not to notice. Nathan just closed his eyes and leaned back on the grass, while Elshienne talked quietly with Nayoung to distract herself.

Professor Sera finished checking the list and smiled.

"Alright, first group, please come inside!" she called.

Nathan stood up and stretched a little. "I'm going to the restroom," he said calmly.Elshienne looked up at him and nodded before going back to talking with Nayoung.

Nathan walked away, heading to the restroom nearby. After he finished his business, he washed his hands and was about to step out when the door suddenly opened again. A few guys from his class entered, blocking the exit. They looked around, checking if anyone else was inside, then quickly closed the door behind them.

Nathan stayed calm, but they pushed him back lightly, making him step toward the wall.

The boys looked at him with jealous eyes.

"Think you're better than us, huh?" one of them said, crossing his arms.

"Just because you did ten laps and your mana is calm, you think you're special?" another one sneered.

Nathan stayed silent, only watching them coldly.

"You have some big-shot parents, Got all that special training before coming here," the third boy said, smirking.

They couldn't accept that someone so quiet and distant could be better than them without special help. In their minds, Nathan was showing off, even though he hadn't said anything.

Nathan sighed softly, looking at the closed door behind them. He wasn't planning to fight, but if they kept pushing him...

The boys moved closer, ready to beat Nathan. One of them grabbed Nathan's shirt roughly. Nathan just looked at him without any fear.

But before anything could happen, one of the boys grabbed his friend's arm and whispered, "I think we shouldn't do this... you know he's a Hamilton. If he tells anyone, we're doomed."

The boy who was holding Nathan clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Shut up," he muttered, but even he started to hesitate.

Then he looked at Nathan with a smirk and said, "If you tell anyone about this... you'll regret it."

Nathan just tilted his head slightly, looking at them as if they were insects. He didn't say a word, but his eyes were sharp and cold. The boys felt a shiver down their spines.

Just as Nathan was about to step out,BAM!The door suddenly flew open with a loud noise.

Standing there was Sion, arms crossed and eyes sharp. He looked at the group of boys coldly.

"Huh, what are you punks doing to my rival?" Sion said, his voice low and dangerous.

The boys turned pale when they saw who it was.

"It's Sion!""Let's go! Let's go!"

Without another word, the boys quickly ran past Sion, almost tripping over each other. They didn't dare look back.

"Tch. Bunch of cowards," Sion muttered,

Sion went inside the restroom, acting like nothing had happened.Nathan also walked back to the field calmly, as if nothing had happened at all.

When he got closer, Elshienne stood up, looking a little worried.

"Did something happen?" she asked.

Nathan smiled gently and said,"Nope, nothing."

Before she could ask more, Professor Sera called out,"Nathan Hamilton, you're next for the mental test!"

Elshienne smiled and said,"Good luck! Me and Nayoung are done already."

Nathan nodded lightly and headed toward the building.

When he entered the classroom, he found only Professor Sera waiting for him.He looked around, a little curious.

Professor Sera noticed and said with a smile,"Alex and Alexa already left. Now, let's start."

Nathan nodded and walked toward her, ready for the test.

—Meanwhile, Alex and Alexa were walking toward Seojun's place.
