Chapter 105: Chapter 105 – New Car

December 24th, 10:00 PMThe warm glow of the dining room light illuminated the beautifully arranged table as Alex and Ippo carefully placed the last of the dishes. Aunt Hiroko, still in the kitchen, wiped her hands on a towel and walked over to help, adding a few final touches to the meal she had prepared with love.

The table was filled with a mix of traditional Japanese and Western dishes—a plate of creamy carbonara pasta, a platter of freshly made sushi rolls, a golden-brown bucket of KFC fried chicken, and a beautifully decorated mango cake sitting at the center. The air was filled with the delicious aroma of home-cooked food, making their stomachs growl in anticipation.

Once everything was set, they all took their seats.

"You should have invited Mari," Aunt Hiroko said, looking at Alex as she poured him a cup of tea.

Alex sighed and gave a small smile. "She can't. She's celebrating Christmas with her family."

Ippo, who was already reaching for a piece of sushi, nodded thoughtfully. "Maybe she'll celebrate with us on New Year's?"

Alex leaned back in his chair. "Maybe… We'll see."

After a moment, Alex suddenly got an idea. He reached for his latest 1991 model camera, set it up on the table, and adjusted the self-timer before hurrying back to their side.

"Alright, smile!" Alex said as he quickly placed his arm around Ippo's shoulder, while Ippo did the same to his mother. As the camera flashed, freezing the moment in time, Hiroko chuckled at how silly yet heartwarming the picture would turn out.

With the photo taken, the three of them dug into the feast, enjoying a simple yet cherished Christmas celebration together.

The next morning, Alex barely had time to breathe. The moment he stepped out of the house, a packed schedule awaited him.

His first stop? Back-to-back photoshoots and commercials for his Red Bull and Nike sponsorships.

As he approached his 1991 Porsche 911, he slid into the driver's seat, the engine roaring to life as he headed to pick up Yagi, his ever-reliable assistant coach and manager.

The first stop was the Red Bull shoot.

Inside a fully equipped gym, Alex stood under bright studio lights, dressed in his training gear, a can of Red Bull in one hand. The cameras clicked as he took a confident sip, followed by a dramatic slow-motion sequence of him smashing a punching bag with a full-power punch—breaking the chain that held it up.

The directors cheered, calling it perfect for the commercial.

Next up was the Nike photoshoot.

This time, Alex was dressed in style—a sleek white coat, a black sweater underneath, and white pants that contrasted sharply with his newly released Makunouchi Dynasty high-cut boxing shoes—jet black, designed with a gold trim, bearing his name on the side.

As he posed for the camera, the crew nodded in approval. His physique, expression, and sharp aesthetics made the campaign look powerful and elite.

After wrapping up the shoot, Alex walked back to his car and turned to Yagi.

"Yagi-san, aren't there any car companies interested in sponsoring me?"

Yagi, always prepared, flipped open his notebook, scanning through a few pages before shaking his head. "Currently, none."

Alex sighed dramatically before suddenly pointing at a building up ahead.

"I guess that means I won't be getting a discount then."

Yagi raised a brow. "What do you mean?"

Alex smirked and pulled the car to a stop right in front of a Ferrari dealership.

Yagi's eyes widened. "Wait… are you buying a Ferrari?!"

Alex unbuckled his seatbelt and stepped out. **"Not just any Ferrari… I'm buying the brand-new 1992 Ferrari F40."

Yagi nearly choked. "Isn't that car rumored to be released next year?!"

Alex simply grinned. "Yeah, but I called Ferrari this morning and managed to secure one ahead of time."

Yagi could only shake his head as they stepped inside the dealership.

The moment they entered, the branch managerimmediately recognized them. He politely approached and extended his hand.

"You must be Alex Makunouchi?"

Alex shook his hand. "That's me."

The manager smiled. "Your car is ready. Follow me."

As they walked into the showroom, there it was—a sleek, bright red 1992 Ferrari F40.

The glossy finish reflected the showroom lights, making it look like a masterpiece on wheels. Alex's eyes gleamed with admiration as he approached it.

He opened the driver's side door, stepping inside to inspect the interior. The leather seats were pristine, the dashboard controls were smooth, and the steering wheel grip felt perfect in his hands.

After a brief inspection, Alex stepped back outand turned to the manager.

"Let's finalize the paperwork."

The process took ten minutes, with Alex signing the necessary documents before handing over a written check.

Finally, the manager handed him the keys.

"It's all yours now."

Alex took the key and smirked before turning to Yagi.

"Yagi-san, do me a favor."

Yagi raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"

Alex tossed him the keys to his Porsche 911.

"Drive my Porsche back to my house. I'll be taking my new Ferrari for a spin."

Yagi chuckled, shaking his head. "No worries, kid. Just don't crash it before you even get home."

With that, Alex settled into the driver's seat, placing his hands firmly on the steering wheel of his brand-new Ferrari F40.

The moment he turned the key, the engine roared to life, sending a thrill through his veins.

After arriving home, Alex parked his brand-new Ferrari F40 neatly in the driveway, its sleek red exterior shining brilliantly under the morning sun. Yagi, who had followed behind in Alex's Porsche 911, pulled up beside it and stepped out, stretching his arms.

As they walked towards the house, Alex turned to Yagi. "Want to stay for breakfast?"

Yagi gave a polite shake of his head. "I already ate before coming here."

Just as Alex was about to head inside, the front door suddenly swung open, revealing Ippo, still in his pajamas, rubbing his sleepy eyes. Upon seeing Yagi, his expression brightened.

"Oh! Yagi-san, you're here!" Ippo greeted, raising his hand in a polite wave.

However, the moment he glanced past them and saw the sleek Ferrari parked in the driveway, his eyes went wide in disbelief.

"Wow! Is this your car, Yagi-san?" Ippo asked, clearly impressed.

Yagi chuckled and shook his head. "No, that's Alex's new car."

Ippo's head immediately snapped towards Alex, his jaw slightly dropping. "You bought a new car?"

Alex grinned, crossing his arms. "Yup."

"Why?"

Alex laughed heartily, tilting his head back. "Because it looks cool!"

Ippo walked up to the Ferrari, running his fingers along its glossy surface. The smooth, polished metal felt amazing to the touch, and he couldn't help but admire the craftsmanship.

"How much did this cost?" Ippo asked, still examining the car.

Alex casually leaned against the hood. "About $400,000."

Ippo nearly choked. "$400,000?! That's insanely expensive!"

Alex shrugged, completely unfazed. "Not really. I've been getting a lot of sponsors lately, and every time I go to an interview, they pay me a ridiculous amount just to talk."

Ippo blinked, still trying to process the amount of money his cousin was making. "That's… crazy."

Just then, the front door opened again, and Aunt Hiroko stepped outside, wiping her hands on her apron.

"Alex, you're back—" she started, but then she saw Ippo practically admiring the Ferrari.

Her eyes widened, and she turned to Alex with a concerned look. "You bought another car?"

Alex rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah..."

Hiroko sighed, placing a hand on her hip. "Aren't you spending too lavishly? I know you earn a lot, but still…"

Alex smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, Auntie. I've been getting tons of sponsors lately. Money isn't an issue."

Hiroko still looked worried but didn't push further. Instead, she noticed Yagi standing quietly nearby and waved at him. "Yagi-san, why don't you stay for breakfast?"

Yagi gave a polite bow. "Thank you for the offer, but I'll pass."

Seeing that Yagi wasn't going to stay, Alex clapped his hands together. "Alright, I'll go get changed. Then we'll head to the gym."

Yagi nodded. "Sure, I'll wait here." He then found a chair near the garden and sat down.

Ippo, still fascinated by the Ferrari, finally pulled himself away and turned toward the house. "Wait for me! I'll go change too."

As both Alex and Ippo headed inside, Hiroko crossed her arms. "You boys need to eat breakfast first."

Alex paused, scratching his head. "Auntie, could you pack it in a lunchbox for us?"

Hiroko sighed but smiled knowingly. "Fine, but next time, we're eating as a family."

Ippo smiled . "Sure, Mom."

Within a few minutes, Hiroko had neatly packed two lunchboxes, each containing a delicious breakfast: scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, and freshly cooked rice. The warm aroma filled the kitchen as she handed them over.

Alex and Ippo thanked her, then made their way outside.

Alex slid into the driver's seat of his Ferrari F40, the luxurious leather interior fitting him perfectly. He adjusted the steering wheel, placed his lunchbox in the passenger seat, and turned the key.

The engine roared to life, sending a powerful vibration through the frame of the car.

Ippo got into the Porsche 911, placing his lunchbox beside him as Yagi took the front passenger seat.

As the two high-performance cars rolled out of the driveway, the neighbors couldn't help but turn their heads
