I've Already Confronted the Five Kage, and the System Just Arrived!

Chapter 286: Chapter 287

The foundation of the Infinite Tsukuyomi world lay in the real "Hagoromo Gensou."

Once Gensou entered this world, he naturally became its protagonist, deeply intertwining his existence with its fabric.

Only in this way could he experience everything within it.

And the deeper the bonds, the deeper the immersion.

As for the original protagonist of the Infinite Tsukuyomi world, it was precisely this sense of abandonment and deprivation that bred their intense hatred toward the real "Hagoromo Gensou."

Of course, no matter which "Hagoromo Gensou" it was, neither would be swayed by such emotions.

The reason for their confrontation?

It was simple.

They refused to believe in fate.

"The Ten-Tails, a Six Paths-level power... In this world, I can try it out, a rehearsal of sorts."

Despite being pulled into this world against his will, Hagoromo Gensou found a few silver linings.

For instance, reuniting with his clan.

Or rehearsing as the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki.

"I wonder how much of the Six Paths' power this Infinite Tsukuyomi world can replicate."

Watching Haru play nearby, a flicker of anticipation stirred in his heart.

Elsewhere

As Ruri issued her commands, the peace that once blanketed the ninja world began to unravel.

"Capture the tailed beasts? Perfect. The One-Tail is in the Land of Wind; I'll head there immediately," said Hashirama, who had been reforesting the barren desert.

Trusting Gensou, he accepted the task without hesitation, knowing it came with generous rewards. For someone like Hashirama, capturing the One-Tail was child's play.

In the Land of Water, the current head of the Taketori clan, Kaguya Ryuunosuke, grinned excitedly.

"Time to fight again!"

He cared little for the rewards. The chance to engage in battle, especially against powerful foes, was all he desired.

Meanwhile, Uzumaki Arina sighed. Old age had made him long for more time with his family. But thinking of his granddaughter by Gensou's side, he relented, resigning himself to the mission.

"Tailed beasts? A good opportunity to test my current strength," Madara muttered, tossing aside the letter he held. His Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan glinted with eagerness as he gazed toward the Hagoromo clan's territory.

Picking up his Gunbai, Madara strode off.

Defeated by Gensou once before, Madara had never forgotten his desire to redeem himself.

...

The tranquility of the Infinite Tsukuyomi world persisted on the surface, but undercurrents surged beneath.

Furious waves churned in the eastern seas.

Massive boulders tumbled in the mysterious mountain forests.

Deafening wingbeats echoed across vibrant flower fields.

Battles of the highest caliber raged throughout the ninja world—some between humans and tailed beasts, others between individuals.

"These tailed beasts are weaker than I expected," Obito remarked, standing amidst scorched earth, where the steam from his attacks had corroded everything. Before him, the exhausted Five-Tails, a fusion of dolphin and horse, panted heavily.

Beside him, Black Zetsu commented dryly, "This is the world of the Infinite Tsukuyomi. It's only natural for the tailed beasts to be weaker than their real counterparts."

"And what about the people?" Obito thought of "Hagoromo Gensou."

"He's... special. But..." Black Zetsu's voice trailed off suddenly.

Turning abruptly, Black Zetsu narrowed his eyes and added enigmatically, "If you want to know how strong people are here, you'll soon have a chance to test it."

"What do you mean?" Obito asked, puzzled.

Suddenly, he felt a presence and turned.

Standing before him was a man clad in crimson layered armor, wielding the iconic Gunbai, with thick black hair cascading down his back. His Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan gleamed with unmatched intensity.

"Madara!"

Obito's heart skipped a beat as he spoke the name slowly.

Though he had only ever seen Madara as an old man, there was no mistaking the man before him. Without Madara's legacy, Obito wouldn't be who he was today.

And this was Madara in his prime.

Even if this Madara differed from the one Obito had known, he didn't dare underestimate him.

"Zetsu," Obito asked cautiously, "does this Madara know you?"

Black Zetsu spread his hands. "That won't happen for decades. I haven't even been born yet."

"In that case, I guess we'll have to fight," Obito said, his gaze sharpening.

Clearly, Madara had come for the tailed beasts as well. This was the perfect opportunity to gauge his strength and prepare for potential future scenarios.

Madara approached Obito and Black Zetsu with measured steps. Without bothering to ask any questions, he glanced at them indifferently and spoke coldly:

"Leave, or die."

Hearing this, Obito turned to Black Zetsu. "Was he always like this?"

He remembered the old Madara being quite patient when teaching him.

Black Zetsu shrugged. "This is polite for him. Later on, he wouldn't even bother saying that."

"I should feel honored, then."

Obito chuckled, shaking his sleeve as an iron chain dropped into his hand.

Madara's expression didn't change.

"If you've made your choice..."

Gripping his Gunbai, a smirk played on Madara's lips as he added:

"Then dance for me. Entertain me!"

The earth shook as their battle commenced.

Half an hour later...

The ground quaked under the devastating power of Madara's Perfect Susanoo. Flames and shockwaves carved deep scars into the landscape as Obito struggled to evade.

Once again, Obito retreated into the safety of his Kamui dimension, where Black Zetsu awaited him with a knowing smirk.

"So, what do you think of Madara's strength?"

Obito remained silent.

Black Zetsu continued, "And this isn't even his strongest form. He hasn't awakened the Rinnegan yet, and his abilities here are slightly weakened."

"You're right. The tailed beasts and the people here are weaker overall."

Still, Obito stayed silent.

If even this weakened Madara could push him to his limits, what did that make him?

Black Zetsu glanced at the shaken Obito and silently shook his head.

This was why, despite Obito's accomplishments, Madara remained a key figure in the grand plan—his strength was unparalleled.

Not wanting to dwell on the topic, Black Zetsu redirected, "Don't forget, the priority is still the tailed beasts, Obito."

Obito collected himself and nodded. "I've led Madara far enough away. Time to capture the Five-Tails."

With that, Obito activated his Kamui, stepping out of the dimension near the unconscious Five-Tails.

Before Madara could sense something was amiss and return, Obito unleashed his Kamui powers, absorbing the Five-Tails into his dimension.

As the enormous blade of Madara's Perfect Susanoo cleaved down, Obito disappeared into his Kamui space as well.

Left behind, Madara scowled at the now-empty battlefield.
