Journey Across The Tensura Verse

Chapter 33: The Awakening

The battle between Milim and Guy reached a fever pitch, their powers clashing in a cataclysmic display that threatened to obliterate what little remained of Soma's capital. The ground trembled, the air crackled, and the sky itself seemed to split under the weight of their fury. Kai, caught in the crossfire, could do little more than endure as Newton absorbed the chaotic energies swirling around him.

But then, a new presence entered the fray. A small, winged figure darted into the chaos, her voice cutting through the din like a bell. "Milim! Stop this madness!"

It was **Ramiris**, the Fairy Queen. Her tiny form flitted between the two titans, her hands raised in a gesture of peace. "You're hurting people, Milim! This isn't you!"

Milim hesitated, her golden eyes flickering with uncertainty. For a moment, the draconic aura around her dimmed, and the fury in her expression softened. "Ramiris…?"

Guy seized the opportunity, his voice calm but firm. "Milim, listen to her. This isn't the way. Whatever's driving you, we can fix it. But not like this."

Milim's wings drooped, and the crimson horn on her forehead began to fade. The storm of energy around her dissipated, leaving an eerie silence in its wake. She looked around, her gaze falling on the destruction she had caused. The once-proud city of Soma was now a smoldering ruin, its people scattered and terrified.

"I… I didn't mean to…" Milim's voice trembled, her earlier rage replaced by guilt and sorrow.

Ramiris flew closer, placing a tiny hand on Milim's shoulder. "It's okay, Milim. We'll figure this out together. But you need to calm down, okay?"

Milim nodded, her draconic features receding as she regained control. The tension in the air eased, and for the first time since the battle began, it felt like the worst was over.

Kai, however, was far from okay. The strain of absorbing so much draconic aura and demonic magic had taken its toll. His body felt like it was on fire, his veins pulsing with chaotic energy. Newton's voice echoed in his mind, urgent and insistent.

Kai didn't need to be told twice. He staggered to his feet, his vision blurring as he struggled to focus. The last thing he needed was to lose control in the middle of a crowd. Without a word, he turned and began to walk away, his steps unsteady but determined.

Guy's crimson eyes flicked toward him, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "Leaving so soon, human? You've got quite the talent for surviving impossible situations."

Kai didn't respond. He couldn't. Every step was a struggle, every breath a battle. He needed to get away—far away—before it was too late.

As he stumbled through the ruins, Newton's voice returned, this time with a new notification.

\*\*\[Alert: Host's body is undergoing a transformation. Side effects of prolonged exposure to draconic aura and demonic magic detected. Awakening into a Demon Lord imminent.\]\*\*

Kai's heart skipped a beat. A Demon Lord? Him? The thought was both terrifying and exhilarating. But there was no time to process it. His body was changing, the chaotic energies within him surging as they reshaped him from the inside out.

He quickened his pace, his mind racing. He needed to find a safe place—somewhere isolated, where he could ride out the transformation without endangering anyone. But as the power within him grew, he could feel his control slipping. The world around him blurred, and the last thing he saw before everything went dark was the distant horizon, bathed in the light of the rising sun.
