Journey to become a God

Chapter 25: Lin Ruoxi's Disease

Lin Rouxi looked at Ye Chen with a serious expression. "Ye Chen, this is about your behavior in the classroom," she said sternly.

Ye Chen frowned, confused. "What did I do in the classroom, Teacher Lin?"

Lin Rouxi's face turned slightly red. "Hmph! Do you think I didn't notice you silently staring at me?" she accused.

Ye Chen blinked. "Teacher, you misunderstood. I wasn't staring at you… I was looking at your thighs."

Lin Rouxi's expression darkened. "Oh, so you admit you were looking at my thighs?" she asked, her tone laced with irritation.

She sighed and shook her head. "Ye Chen, I understand you're going through puberty, but that doesn't mean you can treat your teacher as an object of your fantasies."

Ye Chen felt a headache coming on. He hadn't expected this situation to spiral out of control. "Teacher, let me be honest with you," he said seriously.

Seeing the serious expression on Ye Chen's face, Lin Rouxi's thoughts ran wild. Is he about to confess his feelings for me? Isn't he a bit too bold? Her cheeks turned red at the thought.

But Ye Chen's next words caught her completely off guard. "Teacher, have you been experiencing pain in your thighs at night? The kind that makes it difficult to walk?"

Lin Rouxi froze, taken aback. "What are you talking about?" she asked, suddenly feeling embarrassed.

"I noticed it when I was watching you in class," Ye Chen explained. "Your movements seemed stiff, and you looked uncomfortable."

Lin Rouxi was stunned. It was true—she had been dealing with unexplained pain in her thighs for weeks. She had even gone to the hospital, but the doctors found nothing wrong and only prescribed painkillers.

"Wait… so you weren't staring at me for perverted reasons? You were noticing my condition?" she asked hesitantly.

Ye Chen nodded. "Exactly."

Realizing her mistake, Lin Rouxi felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her. She had completely misunderstood him. "Ye Chen… can you really help me with this?" she asked, a hint of hope in her voice.

The pain had been manageable at first, but recently it had worsened to the point where walking was becoming difficult. It was starting to affect her daily life.

Ye Chen smirked. "I do have a way to treat it, but I have one condition."

Lin Rouxi narrowed her eyes. "What condition?" she asked warily, noticing Ye Chen's gaze sweep over her. Her patience was already wearing thin.

"Teacher, my condition is simple," Ye Chen said with a grin.

"Just say it already! And stop making that face, or I'll slap you!" Lin Rouxi snapped, crossing her arms.

Ye Chen chuckled. "Alright, alright. I just want you to treat me to meals for two weeks."

Lin Rouxi blinked in surprise. "That's it?" She had expected something ridiculous, but it was just free meals for two weeks.

"What, did you think I'd ask for something else?" Ye Chen teased. "So, do you agree?"

Lin Rouxi hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Fine. When do we start the treatment?"

"How about tonight? I have some things to do first," Ye Chen replied.

"Alright. You can come to my place then," Lin Rouxi said, writing down her address and handing it to him.

Ye Chen pocketed the note without looking and left her office. Watching him go, Lin Rouxi let out a sigh of relief. Today had been an emotional rollercoaster, but somehow, she felt like she could trust Ye Chen.

---

As Ye Chen left the school, he noticed that most of the students had already gone home. He decided to head to the mall to buy a new phone. The school wasn't far from the mall, only a few kilometers away.

After about 20 minutes, Ye Chen arrived at the mall and went straight to the electronics section. In the past, he could only admire the latest phones from afar, but now he finally had the money to buy one.

A store clerk immediately approached him. "Hello, sir! Looking for a new phone? We have the latest models available!"

Ye Chen didn't hesitate. "I'll take the most expensive iPhone you have."

After completing his purchase, Ye Chen left the store, feeling satisfied. He had always wanted this phone, and now it was finally his.

Next, he decided to grab something to eat. His favorite place was a small roadside stall that sold goat satay. It was affordable and delicious.

"Auntie, I'll have 30 skewers of goat satay!" Ye Chen called out as he approached the stall.

The elderly woman running the stall, Chen Qui, smiled warmly. "Ye Chen! It's been a while since you came here. Something happened?"

Ye Chen shook his head. "Just had some issues at home, but it's all good now."

"That's good to hear. Take a seat—I'll get your food ready," Chen Qui said, moving quickly to prepare his order.

Chen Qui had always been kind to Ye Chen, often giving him extra portions at the same price. He had missed coming here.

As Ye Chen sat down, he thought about the night ahead. Helping Lin Rouxi with her condition was an interesting turn of events, but he didn't mind. If anything, he was looking forward to it.
