"Tiger Strength Immortal, Sheep Strength Immortal, Deer Strength Immortal," the bearded Taoist said.

Tang Sanzang's eyes were gleaming even more, as he wiped drool from his mouth and muttered, "Aren't those just, tiger, sheep, deer?"

Having said that, Tang Sanzang suddenly stood up and declared, "Wukong, Wufan, Wujing, pack up, we're leaving!"

"Master, where are we going?" Zhu Ganglie asked.

Tang Sanzang's eyes were shining as he looked toward the distant city and said, "To feast!"

Having said this, Tang Sanzang jumped onto the White Dragon Horse and pointed towards the capital of the nation of Cathay, saying, "Little White, let's go!"

With a long whinny, the White Dragon Horse dashed towards the nation of Cathay.

"Stop right there!"

Before they even entered the nation of Cathay, two Taoists, leading a group of soldiers, rushed towards them.

Sun Wukong shouted, "We are disciples of the Emperor of Great Tang from the Eastern Land, on a mission to the Western Heavens for sacred scriptures. What do you want with us?!"

Hearing they were from the Great Tang of the Eastern Land, the two Taoists hesitated a bit.

But it was clear they were used to throwing their weight around, as one of them stepped forward and said, "No matter where you come from, if you are monks, we'll capture you first and ask questions later!"

With a wave of the Taoist's hand, two soldiers advanced.

Sun Wukong immediately got angry; he was known for his hot temper and he whipped out his Jingu Bang with a swing!

Boom!

The earth shook and trembled, and the city gate of the nation of Cathay was smashed to pieces with a single strike!

Scared witless, the two Taoists and the group of soldiers turned pale and no longer dared to take even half a step forward.

Sun Wukong brandished the Jingu Bang and said, "Who was going to capture my master just now?"

The soldiers, terrified, knelt down and kowtowed repeatedly, saying, "Misunderstanding, sir, you heard wrong, we would never dare to trouble you. You heard wrong, heard wrong..."

Sun Wukong scoffed coldly and said, "Stop the chitchat, step aside immediately. If you delay my master's journey for even a moment, I'll do to you what I did to this city gate!"

Neither the Taoists nor the soldiers dare to utter a word of objection and quickly cleared the way.

Sun Wukong led the way, with Tang Sanzang and others entering the city and heading straight for the imperial palace.

All along the way, there were monks being whipped into labor; some pulled carts, some cleaned excrement, others laid tiles—essentially, all kinds of menial tasks.

These monks were emaciated, their bodies scantily clad and showing signs of malnutrition. From time to time, a monk would collapse to the ground, foaming at the mouth, dead.

The locals looked on with indifference, nonchalantly calling over a couple of monks to throw the bodies onto a cart and drag them out of the city.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong was furious, "Even if you don't believe in Buddha, there's no need to mistreat people like this, is there?"

Zhu Ganglie said, "I've seen plenty of countries that favor Taoism over Buddhism, most of which just drive away the Buddhist disciples and only worship Taoism. But this kind of total annihilation is a first for me."

Even the usually silent Sha Wujing couldn't bear to watch, "This isn't about favoring Taoism over Buddhism at all; this is outright committing evil under the guise of righteousness!"

Not far away, a monk cried out, "I can't take it anymore!"

He then smashed his head against a wall and died...

As expected, he was dragged away and thrown out like the others, without even a patch of earth to be buried in. At that moment, another monk was being dragged over, insistently shouting, "It's a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding, I'm naturally bald, I'm not a monk! Look, I'll curse that Buddha, curse that Bodhisattva!"

"Whether you're a monk or not doesn't matter. Since you're bald, you're a monk!" replied one of the soldiers, lashing out with his whip, knocking the man to the ground, then delivering another round of beatings as he cursed, "Either work or die!"

"I'll work, I'll work..." the man wailed, trying to rise to his feet, but the numerous wounds on his body prevented him from getting up.

The soldier cursed angrily, "You bald deadbeat, pretending to be sick? Take this!"

The whip had just been raised when a large hand suddenly grasped it, preventing it from coming down.

"Who the fuck is stopping me?" the soldier roared, only to find a great bald head standing in front of him.

He swore, this was the shiniest head he'd ever seen in his lifetime!

"Baldy, you looking to die?" the soldier cursed angrily.

Tang Sanzang slightly raised his head, his gaze gradually turning ferocious, "Baldy baldy, as soon as I walk in the door, I hear you guys endlessly shouting. It's really annoying!"

After speaking, Tang Sanzang grabbed the man's hand and with a shoulder throw, slammed him to the ground with a thud, "Wukong, Wufan, Wujing, pluck all these bastards' hair for me! Since they hate baldies so much, let's make them all bald!"

Sun Wukong chuckled, "Master, that's a great idea. You won't even have to lift a finger, watch me!"

Sun Wukong blew a breath at those people, and all the soldiers, overseers, and Taoists present felt a chilling sensation on their heads, before exclaiming in shock, "Where's my hair?!"

In the blink of an eye, the street was filled with many more bald heads.

They knew all too well the fate that befell those without hair in the state of Chechi, and they began to howl in despair one after another...

Seeing this, Tang Sanzang grinned, "There, that's more like it. All beings are equal; let's all be bald together! Let's see who dares to look down on the baldies now!"

"What demon monk dares make trouble in Chechi?" Two Taoists arrived with a troop of men.

Tang Sanzang raised an eyebrow and, with a ruffian's swagger, said, "I, from Great Tang, Tang Sanzang, am causing trouble. What about it? Got a problem? If you can't accept it, let's fight!"

"Rascals, seize them!" The two Taoists gestured, and the troop immediately rushed toward Tang Sanzang and the others.

Tang Sanzang stepped back and commanded, "Let Wukong go!"

With one step from Sun Wukong, boom!

The ground shattered, cracks spreading into the distance, followed by a thunderous explosion. Dirt and stones blasted into the air, and the troop of men instantly went down, sprawling on the ground.

The two Taoists were taken aback; they thought they were dealing with a demon monk who knew some illusion techniques, but never expected such strength.

Exchanging glances, they turned and ran for their lives.

Sun Wukong raged, "You ruin the reputation of our Taoist community and think you can run?"

In the midst of speaking, Sun Wukong caught up and delivered two blows with his staff, bang bang, their heads shattered, and they died on the spot, their Taoist paths extinguished.

With the death of the two Taoists, the scene fell deathly silent...

"You're done for, you're all done for!"

"They were the esteemed disciples of three great immortals; you dared to kill them, you're finished!" Discover stories with empire

"The wrath of the great immortals is like thunder; you monks are dead meat."

A group of baldies on the street pointed at Tang Sanzang and his companions, shouting loudly.

Sun Wukong snorted, "Don't talk about thunder-like fury; even if the Thunder God and Lightning Mother were to come, they'd still have to call me Grandpa Sun!"

Having said that, Sun Wukong swung his Jingu Bang and smashed it towards a Taoist temple in front of them!

With a loud crash, the main hall was instantly shattered, terrifying everyone present into silence.

With Sun Wukong forcefully clearing the way, the group made it directly to the gates of the royal city.

The guards at the gate of the royal city, seeing how brutal these monks were, dared not resist and quickly tried to appease them with submissive expressions.

As the saying goes, don't hit a man who's smiling at you. Seeing their reaction, Sun Wukong also put away his staff, "It's quite a scorcher outside, find us a comfortable place to stay."

"Yes, please follow me to the Wufeng Building to wait, my lords," said the eunuch with a smile, as he led Tang Sanzang and his companions to the Wufeng Building before he ran like mad towards the Jinluan Hall!
