Jujutsu Kaisen: I am Sasuke Uchiha

Chapter 56: Timeskip: Awakening

Two weeks later...

Jujutsu High..

The bright sun sat majestically within the bright blue sky, shining down rays of goodness upon Jujutsu High and the range within which it was located..

Within the main compound, several students gathered, at 40 -50 of them in rows as they listened to a man on a podium.

"The last two weeks have been very terrible for not just us, but the world of sorcery itself." The man, the announcer, Ijichi, a corporate looking 30 plus year old man stood before the students, giving a little speech.

"At last.. With the combined efforts of all the clans, we managed to cut down the rebel, but at a cost." His voice darkened as he suppressed the memories from few weeks ago.

"But that's s all in the past now. Today, I stand before you, on behalf of Jujutsu High and the four Great families to formally welcome the New Principal of the school.. Masamichi Yaga..."

With a loud applause frommthe crowd, a dark skinned middle aged man with a buzz cut and dark shades walked out, shook his hand and took the stage...

Meanwhile ..

At the school's basketball court, a lone figure bounced one basketball in his hand against the floor continuously, his face sombre as his mind flooded with thoughts.

*BAM!*

*BAM!*

The continued rythmic slam of the basketball against the floor echoed, yet his mind remained focused on one thing only. Suguru Geto, was dressed in his usual customized Jujutsu uniform. His long hair tied into a bun with a white bandage wrapped around his forehead.

"Oi, Geto. All of us second years are supposed to be at the inauguration. What are you doing here?"

It wasn't until after he heard Ieiri's pinning from behind did he stop and turn to look at her with a small smile.

"It's boring going to sit out there and listening to a bunch of old men talking non stop..."

He rolled his eyes and shot through basketball into the hoop before turning back to her.

"You're lying. You miss him, don't you.." Ieiri walked up to him, placed a hand on his shoulder which caused him to sigh and lower his head.

"I'm fine.... He's changed. Ever since that day. I can't get through to him, no one can."

He spoke, as if mumbling to himself, yet she understood and simply wrapped her arms around him, hugging him for a moment.

But...

Their little moment didn't last for too long when an annoyed voice rang out, startling the both of them.

"Oi, just what exactly am I seeing?"

Suguru turned around instantly, his eyes widened in surprise, recognising that voice in an instant. And there he saw him. His best friend, Gojo Satoru, dressed in his usual uniform and dark tinted glasses, came walking towards both of them with a mischievous smile.

"Tsk. I leave you for a short period and I'm already replaced. I don't know how to feel about that, Suguru..."

Satoru kept up his smile, yet his blue gem like eyes gleamed with a softness as he stared down his best friend.

"Tsk. You piece of shit.."

Suguru took in a deep breath and shook his head as a smile formed on his face.

"Sorry about that..." Looking at the white bandage wrapped around Suguru's forehead, Gojo sighed softly and then whispered to him..

"It's fine. Doesn't even hurt.." Suguru boasted and laughed before he raised a hand up for a dab. Seeing this Gojo smiled and dabbed him back as the two friends laughed..

"I knew you'd miss me. You just can't live without me.."

"Shut up you son of a bitch.."

"When did you get so vulgar, Suguru.."

Ieiri shook her head with a small laugh, as she watched them walk away into the distance, arguing with each other..

Tokyo..

Shibuya..

Within a small messy apartment, a figure rolled up in bandages was laid on a bed like a corpse, unmoving, yet the only thing that showed he was alive was the rhythmic rise and fall of his chest.

The next moment, a whistling, scrawny looking old man came trotting into the room with a magazine folded in his armpit, as he buckled up his pants. Wiping his hands with a small towel, he took out a bottle of beer from a small fridge nearby and took a seat on a rather comfortable couch in the corner of the room.

"Damn you Toji. It's been two weeks. Two freaking weeks!" He took a swig of the beer and cursed out loudly, before reclining in his seat and turning his head towards the bandaged corpse.

"Sigh. At least my life is better than this brat's." The old man shook his head in pity and continued drinking, however it wasn't until he saw the bandaged body twitching did his full attention snap towards the body.

"What the- "

The old man solemnly placed the beer bottle onto the ground, stood up and began walking to the now twitching body..

*RIP!*

The bandages around the torso suddenly opened up, as a hand tore through them with ease, frightening the old man out of his wits.

The bandages were unwrapped in seconds, revealing a lanky figure and a dishevelled face that flinched in response to the sunlight peering through the windows.

"How the hell are you awake?! You--"

The oldan was in the middle of a panic attack, wondering and doubting what was happening right before his own two eyes.

Meanwhile, it took a while for Sasuke to register his thoughts and the first things that escaped his lips with a deep sigh.

"I really made it out alive.." He scanned his surroundings first, and then turned back his gaze towards the old man who nearly collapsed to the ground.

"Monster! Those injuries! Just how the hell!" The old man's eyes never left Sasuke's figure yet he kept muttering to himself like a mad person, wondering how the kid was alive. With all of his knowledge in medicine and mastery of Reverse Cursed Technique, he knew it was nearly impossible for someone, no matter how strong to survive with such grievous internal injuries.

Sasuke on the other hand ignored the old man who was crashing out and staggered to his feet, as a feeling of fatigue and weakness washed over him. He put on a pair of dark blue pants and then sat down on the bare floor and closed his eyes.

With the Sharingan activated, his vision scanned the insides of his body and he couldn't help but let out a sigh. Within his cursed energy pathways, he could see trails of an black gooey poison wreaking havoc wherever it passed. He tried summoning tiny wisps of cursed energy, but stopped immediately when a nerve wracking pain struck his nerves.

He was officially a cripple. Unable to use Ninjutsu for that matter. He didn't know about Genjutsu or how well he could execute his taijutsu without his cursed energy, but there was nothing he could do at the moment. He was going to be crippled until he at least mastered the second stage of the Hundred Healings Jutsu.

Gently opening his eyes, he turned around, and shook his head, seeing as how the old man had disappeared, before sitting back on the bed and summoning bowls of rice, chicken, eggs and dumplings to satisfy his hunger.

He finished off his meal quickly and rushed into the washroom. As he stepped into a nasty looking showering cubicle, he took off his pants opened the shower and allowed the water to rain down on him.

As he felt the cold pricking his skin, he let out a groan mixed with a sigh and lifted his head, allowing the water to rain onto his visage. This was probably the most relaxed he had been for a couple of months. Maybe spending some time to go relax and recuperate wasn't a bad idea after all.

This notion lingered on his mind until the familiar face of his adversary popped up in his mind.

"Fucking Kenjaku!" He cursed, gritting his teeth and clenching his fists tightly. That scar headed son of a bitch had somehow gotten into contact with the Otsutsuki clan. God knows what nasty plans he could be cooking up at the time. At this point, Sasuke couldn't help but crouch down, whipping his hair back as he stared down at the sinkhole in which the water drained into.

He was alone once more wasn't he? He didn't know how to even proceed from this point on. He knew he needed answers. Answers regarding the existence of the Otsutsuki in this world. But where was he going to get them? It's not like Kenjaku was out there sharing his secrets on YouTube or something.

Where was he even going to begin looking? What the hell would He even be able to do in this crippled state. He arose, and wiped the water off his face before turning the shower off and picking out a brown towel from the rack.

He wrapped it around his waist and picked out another blue one with which he began drying his hair with as he walked out.

But .

The moment he stepped out of that washroom, his gaze landed on a familiar figure at the entrance, and the towel he was using to dry his hair dropped to the ground unconsciously.

"Y-you're alive?!"

His voice quivered and his breathing grew erratic almost instantly, as he watched the figure intently.
