Chapter 20: Bonus scene!

The air crackled with an unusual energy. Seven Minutes in Heaven, usually a harmless party game, had detonated like a glitter bomb of confessions and stolen kisses. The Stray Kids members sat scattered around their living room, expressions ranging from bashful to downright flustered. Opposite them, BTS lounged with knowing smiles playing on their lips.

Lee Know, nestled between Han and I.N, felt a blush warm his cheeks even in the dim light. He glanced at Jisung, whose ears were perpetually pink, and Jeongin, struggling to suppress a giggle. The seven minutes in the closet had been…revealing, to say the least. He, Jisung, and Jeongin had been navigating a complicated web of attraction for months, afraid to disrupt the delicate balance of their friendship. The anonymous darkness and the pressure of the game had somehow broken down those walls.

Across the room, Bang Chan intertwined his fingers with Hyunjin's, their earlier shared glances now replaced with open affection. Chan, usually a bastion of calm, was radiating an almost palpable nervousness. Hyunjin, ever the charismatic performer, was doing his best to exude an air of effortless cool, but Lee Know could see the delighted tremor in his hand.

The most surprising, and potentially explosive, trio was Felix, Seungmin, and Changbin. Felix was practically glowing, his usual sunshine amplified tenfold. Seungmin, usually reserved, was sporting a quiet, contented smile. But it was Changbin who was the most intriguing. The often-intimidating rapper was fidgeting, his tough exterior momentarily cracked to reveal a vulnerability that made Lee Know's heart clench with affection for his friend.

BTS, on the other hand, seemed entirely too amused by the entire situation. Jungkook was practically vibrating with stifled laughter, while Taehyung was beaming at them all with an almost unsettlingly knowing expression.

As the conversations dwindled and a comfortable silence settled over the room, Lee Know's analytical mind began to churn. Something didn't quite add up. He looked around again, cataloging the scene. Bang Chan and Hyunjin, Felix, Seungmin, and Changbin, and himself with Han and I,N– all Stray Kids pairings, all confessions, all closet rendezvous. And not a single BTS member had ended up in the closet.

A cold realization began to dawn on him.

He cleared his throat, the sound amplified in the suddenly quiet room. "Wait a minute," he said, his voice carefully neutral. "How did…how did we all end up in the closet? None of you guys went in."

The room plunged into silence. Even Jungkook seemed to have swallowed his laughter. All eyes turned to Jin, the eldest, who shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"Uhhh, well…" Jin began, scratching the back of his neck. "That's a little complicated."

Before Jin could elaborate, Namjoon burst out laughing. It was a booming, hearty laugh that filled the room and broke the tension, but it did little to soothe Lee Know's suspicions.

"Okay, okay," Namjoon chuckled, wiping a tear from his eye. "Truth be told…we rigged the game."

A collective gasp rippled through the Stray Kids members. "Rigged?" Bang Chan asked, his voice laced with disbelief.

"We…may have influenced the drawing of names," Namjoon admitted, his gaze darting around the room. "We just…we sensed some underlying tensions, some unspoken feelings. We thought a little nudge might help you guys talk about it."

"A nudge?" Hyunjin exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air. "Closet make-out sessions and heartfelt confessions are a 'nudge' to you?"

Yoongi finally spoke up, his voice as dry as ever. "We didn't expect the closet sex to happen. That was a…happy accident."

The room erupted in a cacophony of groans and embarrassed shouts. Felix buried his face in Seungmin's shoulder, while Changbin looked like he wanted to disappear.

Lee Know, however, was strangely calm. Shocked, yes. Betrayed, perhaps a little. But also…grateful. He looked at Jisung and Jeongin, who were both staring at him with wide, questioning eyes. He gently squeezed their hands. The forced proximity, the shared vulnerability, it had all forced them to confront what they had been too scared to admit.

He took a deep breath. "How did you know?" he asked, turning to Jimin.

Jimin shrugged. "We just…sensed it. The longing glances, the awkward silences, the way you all gravitated towards each other. It was pretty obvious, actually."

"Obvious?" Changbin mumbled from behind Felix, his voice muffled. "I thought I was being subtle!"

Hoseok clapped his hands together, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Subtle? Changbin, you practically radiated suppressed desire whenever Felix was in the same room!"

The laughter returned, lighter this time, tinged with relief and amusement. The initial shock and embarrassment began to dissipate, replaced by a sense of…acceptance. They had been manipulated, yes, but the result was undeniable. They were all happier, more connected.

Bang Chan let out a long sigh. "Okay," he said, his voice regaining its usual authority. "So you rigged the game. You forced us to confront our feelings in the most awkward way possible. But…thank you."

The genuine gratitude in Chan's voice seemed to surprise even him.

And with that, the tension finally dissolved. The rest of the night was spent in open, honest conversation. They talked about their feelings, their fears, and their hopes for the future. The BTS members shared stories of their own struggles and triumphs, offering advice and support. The Stray Kids members listened intently, soaking up their hard-earned wisdom.

Lee Know found himself sitting on the floor, sandwiched between Jisung and Jeongin, a contented smile on his face. He looked around the room, at his friends, his bandmates, all of them connected by a shared experience, a shared truth. They had been pushed to the edge, forced to leap, and they had landed, miraculously, on their feet.

He caught Namjoon's eye across the room. Namjoon raised his glass in a silent toast. Lee Know returned the gesture. They had been manipulated, yes, but they had also been guided. They had been pushed, but they had also been caught.

As the night wore on and the first rays of dawn began to peek through the curtains, Lee Know knew that things would never be quite the same. But as he looked at his friends, his loves, he knew that those changes, however unexpected, were for the better. The game of Seven Minutes in Heaven had been rigged, but the end result was anything but. It had been a catalyst, a spark that had ignited a flame. And that flame, he knew, would burn brightly for a long time to come.
