Kage No Densetsu

Kimikage stood at the edge of a dark abyss, his heart pounding as he faced the shadow demon looming before him. Behind the creature, a pool of shadows reflected the lifeless bodies of his parents, their faces pale and still. The sight sent a chill down his spine.

"Mom! Dad!" he shouted, desperation clawing at his throat. "No! This can't be real!"

From the depths of the shadowy pool, he heard their voices, soft yet haunting. "Kimikage, we told you that you shouldn't have joined Kage no Daigaku," they echoed, disappointment lacing their words

"But Mom and Dad, every—" he began, but then he shook his head violently. "No, no! This isn't real!"

He took a deep breath, forcing himself to focus. "I have to face it… c'mon, Kimikage, you can do this," he muttered under his breath, summoning the strength he needed

Meanwhile, Katakiuchi was ensnared in his own battle, grappling with the shadows of his past. His greatest fear loomed before him: the fear of trusting someone again, the fear of betrayal. From the darkness emerged the woman from the Mitsuki clan, the very person who had betrayed him, along with a host of other familiar figures.

A twisted version of himself stepped forward, smirking cruelly. "You really think you can trust someone again? Pathetic," it sneered. "You really think you can rely on that Kimikage boy? All soft and clueless, he'll get you nowhere."

Back in the abyss, Kimikage faced the shadow demon, the taunts of his illusionary parents echoing in his mind. The demon's voice joined in, mocking him. Anger surged within him, and he felt a fire ignite in his chest. "I'm done with this!" he shouted, his voice steady and resolute.

"I'll fight you," he declared, determination hardening his features. "I'll face whatever you throw at me. You're not stronger than me!"

With a roar, the shadow demon lunged at him, and Kimikage met its charge head-on, ready to fight.

On the other side of the dark labyrinth, Katakiuchi's battle raged on. The shadowy doppelgänger stepped closer, its twisted grin widening. "You can't hide from me, Katakiuchi," it taunted. "I am you, Katakiuchi Kou. I'm every fear you've ever had, every weakness you try to hide."

Katakiuchi squared his shoulders, refusing to back down. "You know what? You may be right," he admitted, his voice steady. "But I won't let such a fear define my character."

With that declaration, he stepped forward, channeling his energy to destroy the illusionary shadow demon set up by Sensei Shidou. The dark figure shattered into fragments, dissipating into the air.

As both students passed their tests, the shadow barriers around them began to dissolve, and they were finally free.

Kimikage turned to Katakiuchi, who was still catching his breath. "You did it, too," he said, a smile breaking through his earlier anxiety.

Katakiuchi nodded, a flicker of respect in his eyes. "Yeah, I guess I did," he replied, his voice softer than before. "Maybe you're not as useless as I thought."

Kimikage raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in his expression. "Uhm, thanks, I guess?"

As the shadow barriers dissolved, Sensei Shidou entered the training room, a broad smile on his face. He clapped his hands together, the sound echoing in the now-quiet space.

"Great job, the two of you! You did exceptionally well!" he praised, his eyes sparkling with pride. "Now, given how well you both performed, how about I treat you to the finest ramen in the Yami District? What do you say, boys?"

Kimikage's face lit up with excitement. "Oh, hey, Sensei! I'm in! What about you, Katakiuchi?"

Katakiuchi, maintaining his usual calm demeanor, replied nonchalantly, "I'm in."

Kimikage and Sensei Shidou cheered in unison, "Yay!" while Katakiuchi remained composed, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth

"Leave it all to me," Sensei Shidou said, waving his hand dismissively. "I'll cover the cost of your meals, so don't worry about money, okay? Now, let's go!"

With that, the trio set off toward the Yami District, where the finest ramen cook awaited them. Kimikage and Katakiuchi followed closely behind Sensei Shidou, their spirits lifted and ready to celebrate their hard-earned victory.
