Amamiya raised an eyebrow, his voice laced with suspicion.

"What did you just call me?"

Sajuna froze for a moment before quickly covering her mouth. "Wait, why did I just—"

Amamiya's gaze shifted to the pink haired girl, Chika. "Who are we looking for?"

"Eh?" Chika blinked, startled. Her words faltered as she stammered, "It's because... because…"

With a sigh, Amamiya turned his attention to the neighbor lady standing before him.

"Madam," he said with feigned exasperation, "you have no sense of honor."

Amamiya mentally combed through his memories. Every detail of their experiences since entering the game was vivid and intact in his mind—unlike Chika and Sajuna, whose memories appeared to have been distorted.

It was clear.

After being restrained, the neighbor lady's ability to control the players' physical movements seemed to have faded. However, her power to manipulate their memories remained active.

Despite her feigned helplessness, she had been subtly altering the girls' thoughts, steering them toward her own agenda.

'If this continues,' Amamiya thought grimly, 'they'll forget why we're even here. Before long, Chika and Sajuna will probably start seeing her as their beloved mother, ambush me from behind, and knock me unconscious. Then I'll wake up tied to a bed, left at their mercy for whatever twisted plan she has in mind.'

Snapping out of his thoughts, Amamiya turned to Sajuna. "Sajuna, get out of here."

"No," Sajuna protested, shaking her head. "It's dark outside. It's dangerous."

Without a word, Amamiya raised his right hand, an unspoken threat in his expression.

"If you stay, it's about to get even more dangerous."

Instinctively, Sajuna's hands shot to her backside, recalling the humiliation and sting of previous punishments. She took a hesitant step back, her voice trembling.

"I-I'll go!"

One down.

Amamiya turned to Chika. "You're going with Sajuna. Both of you, outside."

"Eh?" Chika's eyes widened in disbelief. "But it's so dark! And I'm tired... I just want to relax and take a bath."

Amamiya raised an eyebrow. "Come here."

"...Oh."

Even in her confused state, Chika instinctively trusted Amamiya. She hesitated briefly but ultimately stepped closer.

Without warning, Amamiya reached out, pulling her soft, slender waist into his arms. The faint, sweet scent of milk and fruit filled his senses as she leaned against him.

The distance between them disappeared, their breaths now audible in the stillness.

"W-what are you doing?" Chika stammered, her hands pressing against his chest as her cheeks flushed bright red.

"Isn't it obvious?" Amamiya said, his tone casual yet deliberate. "I'm going to kiss you."

"W-wait!" Chika's voice rose, her panic unmistakable. "Not now! Mom is still here… Can't you wait until she leaves?"

'You're really that far gone,' Amamiya thought. 'Your memory is slipping fast.'

"I'm kissing you 'now,'" he said firmly, leaning closer. "It's more thrilling in front of your mom."

"No way! I won't let you!"

Pushed to her limit, Chika finally acted. She ducked her head, letting it collide with Amamiya's chin, and then bolted for the door, her face glowing with embarrassment.

Amamiya sighed, watching her retreat. Now there was only one person left in the room.

The girl with long black hair stood frozen, her expression uncertain.

Turning his attention back to the neighbor lady, Amamiya began pulling her toward the door. Still wary, he glanced back at Komi and gave her a curt order:

"Get up."

The girl with long, black hair lingered in the room longer than anyone else. Her memory had been completely overwritten—so thoroughly that she couldn't even recall her own name. Amamiya kept a wary eye on her, bracing himself in case she suddenly pulled out a knife to avenge her "mother."

"..."

Komi rose to her feet nervously.

"Hm?" Amamiya raised an eyebrow before instructing, "Turn left."

Without hesitation, the girl followed the command.

"Now turn right. Twice."

Komi-san complied, moving obediently as directed.

"Turn around and walk forward."

"..."

The girl turned and walked toward the entrance, her movements calm and precise.

Amamiya couldn't help but internally curse. 'What's this?! The one I thought would be the most troublesome is actually the most obedient?' Her compliance was almost unnerving—she was too well-behaved.

One by one, the three girls left the house.

Amamiya turned his gaze to the family portrait resting on the dining table. As he watched, the figures in the photo began to fade away, leaving behind only an elementary school-aged child with a hairstyle resembling Chibi Maruko's.

Withdrawing his gaze, Amamiya grabbed the neighbor lady and dragged her toward the door.

The moment he crossed the threshold, his hands suddenly felt empty. The neighbor lady had vanished.

Turning back, Amamiya saw her reappear inside the house, her ethereal form as clear as ever.

There was no doubt now. The neighbor lady was a ghost—a spirit bound to the house, much like the earthbound souls they had encountered before.

"Mrs. Hoshino," Amamiya said with a faint smile, "thank you for your hospitality."

'Bang!'

The door slammed shut behind him.

"Strange…" Chika rubbed her forehead, her expression puzzled. "What are we doing out here in the yard?" Her confusion lasted only a moment before she gasped in realization. "Ah, I remember now!"

As they distanced themselves from the house, the altered memories began to rapidly unravel.

"I remember too," Sajuna said, her face pale as she hugged her arms. "I actually called that woman 'mom' earlier… and didn't even find it strange!"

"This whole memory-altering ability is terrifying," Chika muttered anxiously. "Come on, let's get out of here. Don't stay a second longer!"

'Click.'

A videotape appeared out of nowhere, falling at Amamiya's feet.

[Filming of 'Sweet Home' Completed]

[You must hold onto the videotape for at least ten minutes before submitting it for review.]

[Note: This videotape cannot be added to your game inventory. Only one lead actor may submit it.]

Looking down, they saw the cover of the videotape. It depicted a family dinner, with everyone seated neatly around a table. However, the neighbor lady's expression was strained, as though suppressing anger.

Beside the image was a single line of text:

"Mom, I'm sorry. It's all because my sister is so cute."

"..."

"Is this the tape we need to submit?" Chika asked curiously, leaning closer. "The line on the cover is so cheesy."

"Only by being cheesy enough can a fake family completely fall apart," Amamiya replied dryly.

Bending down, he picked up the videotape before turning to the girl with long, black hair.

Komi's body trembled as her shoulders began to shake.

"Have you regained your memory?" Amamiya asked.

"..."

Komi nodded quickly, her movements stiff.

Amamiya sighed. "Your contribution to the filming was minimal. Is there anything on this videotape that could be an issue?"

Komi shook her head emphatically.

"You're not mute," Amamiya chided. "Why do you keep nodding and shaking your head like that?"

Curious, Chika leaned in closer to examine her.

Under Chika's intense gaze, Komi froze, her body stiffening before she began trembling even more.

"Ahem," Sajuna interjected with a cough, coming to Komi's rescue. "She's always like this at school. She gets so nervous around strangers that she can't speak. Chika-chan, maybe don't get so close to her."

"Oh, sorry!" Chika quickly backed up a few steps, her smile apologetic but bright. "I thought you might be like Aharen-san—speaking so quietly that no one can hear you."

Sajuna stepped forward, tilting her head as she introduced herself. "I'm Sajuna Inui from the next class. Do you recognize me, Komi-san?"

Komi nodded faintly.

"Are you alone?" Sajuna asked again, her voice softer. "Would you like to join us?"

Komi's eyes widened slightly as she nodded once more. Taking a half step back, she bowed deeply at a 90-degree angle.

'...Please don't leave me behind!'
