Chapter 1: CH 1
"That is to say, I want to make up a diary for myself and create my own identity. The more real it is, the easier it is for people to believe, and the stronger the ability I get!"
Manhattan, inside an apartment building!
Seeing himself passing through the Awakening System, Su Che pondered.
Yes, Su Che is a time traveler who has inexplicably traveled to this dangerous Marvel Universe.
Fortunately, Awakening has a Biography System—as long as you fabricate an identity that is easy to believe according to the system's requirements and set identity, you can gain powerful abilities from it.
"Yes, host!"
Facing Su Che's inquiry, the system gave a mechanical affirmative answer.
Clearly, the system isn't very smart.
Just looking at the prompt given by the system, Su Che pondered slightly.
"I know the future development of this cinematic universe, so according to the timeline, there's no difficulty in coming up with an identity for myself in a self-created diary.
According to the system's requirements, I need to create my own persona within the given identity limits and build around them.
There aren't many restrictions given by the system.
It starts with:
1. Superhero!
2. Gradual Growth!
3. Identity must make the diary holders believe in it!
These three points are clear.
First, I have to create my own personality as a superhero.
The second point is that I can't directly write that I'm invincible in the diary.
This corresponds with the third point: the more the diary holders believe in the diary and the personality I've made up, the stronger I become.
Instead of writing in the diary that I am invincible in this universe and instantly becoming so, I must make it believable!
However, the second and third requirements are interconnected.
The third point is also the hardest.
It means that I have to write in the diary in a way that establishes a relationship with the holders, making them trust what I've written.
Well, this is the hardest part!
"System, who are the initial diary holders?"
After pondering for a moment, Su Che asked the system.
"First-time diary holders: Wanda Django Maximoff, Natasha Romanoff, Nick Fury."
Looking at the initial three diary holders given by the system, Su Che nodded slightly.
"That means the first diary holders are Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, and Director Nick Fury, right?"
"Scarlet Witch is easy—according to the timeline, she's still a fourteen-year-old girl in Sokovia."
"Although Black Widow is already a famous spy, it's not a big problem."
"The biggest problem is Nick Fury—he never believes in anything easily."
"It should be said that Nick Fury is the most difficult initial diary holder to gain trust from."
Looking at the transparent editing screen on the system panel in front of him, Su Che leaned on his chin and said,
"I can't fabricate an identity and persona carelessly—I have to be careful!"
"The most important thing is to have a connection with these three. But how can I be a superhero and have a connection with them?"
After thinking for a few seconds, Su Che's eyes lit up.
I got it!
A "behind-the-scenes" style identity!
Doesn't it revolve around being a superhero while still being connected to them?
How simple is quantum mechanics?
Looking at the system's editing screen in front of him, Su Che began to edit.
Meanwhile, at S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters
Or rather, the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division, inside Nick Fury's office!
Nick Fury, who had just finished a discussion with Alexander Pierce, former director and current Secretary-General of S.H.I.E.L.D., returned to his office.
As soon as he entered, he saw a black-and-gold, extremely mysterious diary on his desk.
Seeing the sudden appearance of an unfamiliar object on his desk, Nick Fury's one remaining eye narrowed.
He looked at Maria Hill, who was sitting not far from his desk, and asked,
"Hill, has anyone been in my office?"
"No one!"
Facing Nick Fury's inquiry, Maria Hill, who was processing documents, immediately replied,
"It has been twelve minutes and forty-five seconds since you went to meet Mr. Pierce."
"I've been in the office the whole time, and I can confirm that no one has entered your office."
Hearing Hill's answer, Nick Fury walked over to his desk and pointed at the black-and-gold diary.
"Then how did this thing get here?"
"What?"
Looking in the direction Fury pointed, Maria Hill saw nothing but a clean desk and neatly arranged files.
She saw nothing unusual.
"I mean this!"
Pointing to the diary again, Nick Fury asked,
"You don't see it?"
"Boss, I don't understand what you're talking about."
After making sure she wasn't mistaken, Maria Hill's expression became serious.
She got up and tapped her wristwatch, activating a holographic camera.
A real-time projection appeared in front of them.
"Director, as you can see, I don't see anything where you're pointing."
"Even the full surveillance feed doesn't show anything unusual!"
Seeing the real-time footage, Nick Fury frowned.
In the holographic projection, there was nothing at the spot he was pointing to.
But when he turned his head, he could still see the black-and-gold diary sitting there, untouched.
"Nick, do you need me to—"
Seeing Fury frown, Maria Hill was about to speak when he raised his hand to stop her.
He reached out and activated the scanner on his wrist, scanning the mysterious object.
The state-of-the-art scanner showed no signs of radiation or any harmful properties.
Nick Fury's expression gradually became more serious.
Meanwhile, in Sokovia
"I really can't see anything! There's nothing here!"
Looking at Wanda Maximoff, who insisted there was something on the table, her twin brother Pietro Maximoff reached out and placed his hand on the spot she was pointing at.
"Look, if that black-and-gold notebook you mentioned was real, my hand would be on it—not going straight through the air into your palm."
"Did you not get enough sleep last night, or are you running a fever?"
As he spoke, Pietro raised his hand in concern to check Wanda's forehead.
"Forget it! If you can't see it, then never mind!"
Annoyed, Wanda slapped Pietro's hand away and pointed at the door.
"Go and get my lunch! That's what a younger brother should do for his older sister."
Listening to Wanda's words, Pietro looked at her helplessly.
Something felt off about Wanda today.
