Khalifa: Queen in the Apocalypse

Chapter 37: Also About Questionable Friends

Similarly, a conversation about questionable friends was being held by another couple.

It was Claire and Chris and they were, surprisingly, talking about Mira.

They were in her house at the moment, with Chris patiently waiting for his date to get ready.

The topic was raised because Mira called, wanting to hang out.

Claire said she told her roommates about their date this weekend, only innocent Claire would believe the other girl had forgotten.

Struggling for a while, Chris finally spoke up when she saw Claire was seriously considering it. "I don't think she's as kind as she looks."

"Don't be silly." She said, looking at him like he's the most adorable silly thing. Did she think he just didn't want a third wheel around?

Well, yes, but it wasn't the entire point!

Could he say that Mira had been flirting with him?

At first, he didn't think too much of it. She just approached him in a friendly way, called him occasionally to tell him about Claire when he wasn't asking. She also reported some men who were around her.

At the time, he thought she was kindly reminding him for the sake of his relationship with Claire.

Then last night, when he was waiting for Claire outside the dorm so they could go to her house together for the weekend, Mira approached him.

She was wearing a fitted tank top and pants, saying she was taking a night jog. She was holding her tumbler and approached him but she suddenly lost her balance.

Instinctively, he went on to catch her, getting wet by the liquid in the tumbler on the way.

"Sorry," she said, coquettishly, and he noticed she was trying to subtly rub on him.

Moments later he was certain it was on purpose. He thought so because she could've separated from him several touches prior.

Then her hand even brushed against his crotch and he instinctively took several steps back, confused, and also a bit disgusted.

But she didn't betray any thoughts and just apologized, thanking him for saving her, before leaving.

A part of him wanted to warn Claire. But he couldn't though, because he… really wasn't 100% sure if she was flirting.

He could just be oversensitive. He knew saying so out loud might strain the otherwise good friendship between the two girls.

If he was wrong and he caused a strain, then he would've sinned.

Hence, so far, his words so far only implied his slight dislike for her friend, and nothing else.

"To be honest, I think that a reserved roommate of yours would be good." He just said, which caught Claire's interest.

"I saw her friendly with a beggar before." He explained. He also heard Claire mentioned this mysterious roommate before.

Like Claire, he had an inexplicable attraction to the fourth roommate.

Not the romantic type, of course, but in the sense where his instincts told him that this person was good to be around.

Claire just chuckled. "Well, if I get the chance, I will." She said, pinching her boyfriend's cheeks.

After all, the other girl was barely going to school, how could there be any interactions?

"So…?"

Then she looked at her boyfriend and sighed. "Fine, I will tell Mira she can't come." She said, and dialed the phone of Laura instead.

"Maybe she's going through something and needs a friend." Claire said, waiting for Laura to answer.

The call connected and it was Laura, who had obviously just woken up.

Claire apologized for bothering her on a weekend. "Laura? Do you have plans today?" She asked.

"Not really," The other girl said, "Don't you have a date today?"

"Yes, but Mira's looking for a companion… can you call her?"

"Oh? Mira? Oh, okay!"

"Thanks." She said and hung up in relief.

Chris' eyes warmed, embracing his girl's soft body.

His girlfriend is just the kindest, and she would always think of others.

Although it was worrying a lot of times, he really liked it about her. And he was proud to be the person she chose.

The two started their date heading towards the public parks, one of their favorite places because it was beautiful, relaxing, and friendly for students like them.

The two of them started walking around the park, just holding hands and admiring the view, enjoying each other's company.

They ended up in a relatively private grove, one they liked to hang out in to have private chats and hug and snuggle.

However, there was something different about their favorite spot today.

There were other people, they knew, as they started hearing squishing sounds, slapping skins, and breathless moans.

"Ohh ahhh!"

"There! Ah! J-Jhonnyy"

"Oh, there—ahhh!"

Claire's eyebrows furrowed in confusion while Chris quickly covered her ears, maintaining her innocence.

He dragged her far from there, heartbeat racing, and his palm sweaty.

Eventually, they reached another area with few people, but no one doing anything NSFW.

"What happened?"

"There were… beasts there… dangerous."

Her eyes widened, sincerely surprised and concerned. "Then, shouldn't we tell the authorities???"

He gulped, as he looked at her pretty face, large eyes filled with worry.

He couldn't help but recall the subtle touch on his crotch by Mira.

He was disgusted, don't get him wrong, but the biological sensation was there and—with that erotic sight—he wanted to feel it again with the right person.

He looked down at his beautiful girlfriend, who was looking at him in puzzlement at his silence but filled with trust.

He gulped.

But… they hadn't even had their first kiss yet. Would Claire run away with some other of her suitors if he was too forward?

Then, take one step.

He leaned down and met her lips, feeling the pleasing electricity from the place they connected.

Men didn't need much training with this stuff, and he quickly embraced her so more skin connected, and he changed his angles, trying to feel more and more of the sensations.

His movements became more intimate, his hand caressing her soft waist, as he heard her soft sighs.

When it was over, their foreheads rested together, their faces red and breathing staggered.

But they had smiles in their eyes.

They finally had their first kiss.
