Chapter 212: The Attack

It had been three days since Tonari and Minato wiped out the first town.

For the first two days, they moved from place to place, destroying town after town, reducing them to rubble, leaving one or two survivors to carry the news back to Kumogakure.

After two days, Tonari figured their destruction was sufficient.

They had not held back.

Minato grinned.

"You know me better than that."

And with that—

Minato grabbed Tonari's arm.

In a blink, the two vanished from the cave.

Below them, four shadowy figures moved stealthily through the dense forest.

"Four jōnin-class enemies."

"No sign of the Third Raikage's son, A."

"No sign of the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, Killer Bee."

"This will be easy."

Tonari formed a silent gesture—one finger, then two.

One each.

Minato nodded.

Then—he vanished.

Tonari sighed.

"Damn, Flying Thunder God is just unfair."

Still—

With a bolt of lightning, he leapt down.

One of the Kumo jōnin turned.

His eyes widened.

"Lightning Release Armor?!

"Isn't that our village's technique?!"

The other jōnin narrowed his eyes.

"That's him—

"The Konoha Blue Cat."

"A stole our technique. Be careful—he's dangerous!"

The two instantly attacked.

"Lightning Release: Black Spot Panther!"

A black electric panther charged at Tonari.

"Lightning Release: Thunder Needle Rain!"

From above, thousands of lightning needles rained down.

Tonari narrowed his eyes.

His hand brushed his waist.

In a flash, his Chakra Blade appeared.

With a flick of his wrist—

The panther stopped mid-charge—

Then exploded into static.

Lightning needles rained down.

Tonari's blade spun.

The other used dual short blades.

The short-bladed ninja struck first.

Tonari parried both.

The second charged from behind—

Blocked.

"A good fight, at last."

The true battle began.
