konoha:I'm the God of ninja world

Chapter 66: Chapter 66: Sage Art! Genius! Hokage Heir! Morkel!

Gaara, now fully transformed into a tailed beast, loomed over the battlefield, his temperament more violent than ever.

Kankuro's expression darkened. "I'm afraid Gaara's plan isn't just that..."

"I'm worried he's going to use the Sleep Technique to release the demon inside him..."

"If that happens, we're in serious trouble."

Just as he finished speaking, Gaara's body swelled, morphing into a massive sand beast, nearly 50 meters tall. Its body was an earthy yellow, covered in jagged curse marks, and a colossal tail extended from its back.

Gaara stood atop the beast's head, his hands forming seals. Seeing this, Temari and Kankuro's hearts sank, and they turned to flee.

If they didn't evacuate in time, they would be caught in the chaos once the demon fully emerged.

Gaara completed the Sleeping Technique, falling into a deep slumber.

The beast beneath him let out a shrill, triumphant laugh. "Hahaha... I'm finally free! It's been too long!!"

Each tailed beast has lived for centuries, holding chakra reserves greater than hundreds of ninjas combined. When the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, sought peace, he distributed the tailed beasts among villages, making them vital weapons of war.

Gaara is the modern-day Jinchūriki of Shukaku, the One-Tail.

Being Shukaku's host is a torment, as the beast is violent and bloodthirsty. The Jinchūriki cannot sleep, for if they do, Shukaku seizes the chance to escape and wreak havoc. This is the reason for Gaara's ever-present dark circles.

Now, outside Konoha Village, with Gaara unconscious, Shukaku had finally broken free of its chains!

Tailed beasts possess the power to obliterate villages. Just like the Nine-Tails' attack on Konoha, they can leave nations in ruins.

Shukaku roared, "I've been locked up for so long—now I'm free! Everyone must die!!"

Its voice was so sharp it sent chills down spines.

Hiding in the nearby forest, Naruto and Sasuke clutched their ears.

"What should we do? What even is that thing?" Naruto asked, panicked.

Sasuke's face was grim. "If you don't know, how would I?"

As they spoke, Shukaku sniffed the air, sensing them. It grinned, then clapped its massive hands against its belly.

"Wind Style: Drilling Air Bullet!"

A compressed blast of air erupted from its mouth, tearing through the forest. Trees snapped like twigs in its wake. If that force hit a person, survival would be impossible.

Sasuke grabbed Naruto, yanking him away as more air bullets rained down.

Shukaku, seeing them struggle, grew more excited, unleashing blast after blast.

Suddenly, Naruto stopped running, his eyes sharp, his pupils filled with determination.

"Running isn't solving anything!"

A red chakra aura flared around him.

Sasuke's eyes widened. "If we don't run, we'll die!"

"No! There's another way!"

Naruto bit his thumb, formed hand seals, and slammed his palm to the ground.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

During his training with Jiraiya at Mount Myōboku, Naruto learned about the Nine-Tails sealed within him. Jiraiya had told him that, in dire situations, he could use its chakra to summon powerful toads.

A massive purple-red toad appeared, carrying a shield on its back and wielding an iron fork—it was Gamaken, Toad Wen's brother.

As he landed, Shukaku's air bullets flew toward him. Gamaken quickly raised his shield, blocking the attacks.

"Next time, don't summon me in the middle of a fight! That hurts!" he grumbled, glancing down at Naruto. "Huh? You're not that red-haired kid! Why'd you call me?"

"No time for explanations, Uncle Toad! How do we defeat that thing?" Naruto asked urgently.

Before Gamaken could answer, something strange happened in the distance.

Naruto and Sasuke turned to see an enormous wooden figure standing within Konoha, towering at hundreds of meters!

"What is that?!" Sasuke was stunned.

"I don't know, but if it helps us, it might crush that monster in one slap!" Naruto gritted his teeth.

Gamaken narrowed his eyes. "That... looks like the First Hokage's Wooden Golem."

Shukaku, seeing the towering figure, was filled with terror.

"That jutsu! That's how I was captured before!"

Back in Hashirama's time, his Wooden Golem had subdued the tailed beasts with ease.

Panic surged through Shukaku. "Has the First Hokage been resurrected?! Why is that thing here?!"

At that moment, Morkel, using the Flying Thunder God Technique, appeared outside Konoha atop the giant wooden figure.

"BOOM!"

The massive wooden Guanyin landed.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Gamaken were speechless.

"How... how is this possible?!" Gamaken stuttered, trembling.

Sasuke was equally stunned. "Is the First Hokage really back?"

Then, Naruto spotted the figure standing atop the Buddha.

"Morkel! That's Morkel up there!"

Sasuke swallowed hard. Indeed, the red-haired Morkel stood atop the wooden giant.

They had known Morkel was talented, but they never expected he could use Wood Style—especially not at this scale!

On the battlefield, Shukaku tried to flee, unwilling to be sealed again.

Morkel controlled the wooden Guanyin, its enormous hand stretching out.

"SWOOSH!"

In one swift motion, he grabbed Shukaku like a mere kitten.

Compared to the Buddha's might, the tailed beasts were nothing.

As Morkel restrained the beast, he noticed Gaara still asleep atop it. Stepping down from the Buddha, he delivered a punch straight to Gaara's face.

The blow shattered Gaara's sand armor, swelling his face and knocking out two teeth.

Awakened, Gaara's eyes widened in shock. "You... you..."

Before he could react, Morkel wrapped him in vines, preparing to take him back to Konoha for interrogation.

Meanwhile, Naruto called from below. "Morkel! Can we come up there too?"

"Sure."

With a flicker, Morkel used the Flying Thunder God to transport Naruto and Sasuke onto the Buddha's shoulder.

Naruto gasped in awe. "Wow! This is amazing!"

Even Sasuke, though trying to act indifferent, was awestruck by the view from such a height.

"How did you do this, Morkel?!" Naruto asked, dumbfounded.

"Well... I did this, then that, and eventually, I figured it out." Morkel shrugged, evading the question.

Back in Cloud Village, inside the Raikage's office, Ai read the latest intel, his brows furrowing.

"Another Konoha genius who can use Wood Style?!"

Beside him, Killer Bee struck a rap pose. "Yeah, it's old news! The guy joined Anbu!"

"Idiot! I'm talking about a new one! The red-haired kid who learned Flying Thunder God!"

Ai's expression darkened. "Flying Thunder God and Wood Style together?! Konoha is overstepping!"

Similarly, in Kirigakure and Iwagakure, the Mizukage and Tsuchikage issued the same order:

"Eliminate Morkel while he's still young. He is too dangerous."

Two days after the Chūnin Exams, Konoha was busy rebuilding. Thanks to Morkel's power, casualties were minimal.

Though the final match between Morkel and Gaara was left unfinished, no one objected to Morkel's promotion to Chūnin.

Some even suggested promoting him directly to Jōnin, but the Third Hokage refused.

"Morkel is our future. We must protect him."

Little did they know, other villages had already set their sights on eliminating Konoha's rising star...
