Carrot was a rabbit person, or to be precise, a member of the Mink Tribe of the rabbit species.
Even more specifically, she was a bunny-eared lady with a stunning figure and a lithe body.
For two years, the only "mission" Colt took seriously was to find someone like her.
Almost like owning a pet companion.
After learning from his earlier missteps, Colt was more cautious this time—he didn't want to end up raising another troublemaker like Ichibi.
The ideal pet companion had to be well-behaved, cute, and, most importantly, incapable of tearing the house down.
Relying on fragments of his memories, Colt narrowed his options to two individuals: Tony-Tony Chopper and Carrot.
After hesitating for less than a second, he made his decision—Carrot.
Chopper was cute and small, but could he possibly compare to a bunny-eared girl?

Winning over Carrot, however, wasn't as easy as taming a wild beast.
She was a member of the Mink Tribe. Winning her over required significant effort and planning.
First, Colt had to gain the trust of the Mink Tribe in Zou.
This wasn't a simple task, as the tribe was famously distrustful of humans.
When Colt initially arrived, tensions rose between the two sides.
But Colt used his strength to defuse the situation, driving away external threats to the Mink Tribe.
In doing so, he became respected by them.
What threats, you ask?
Didn't Kaido have his eyes on the Mink Tribe for a long time? Colt confronted Uchiha Madara, who had come to Zou on Kaido's behalf. After defeating Madara, Colt extracted a promise from him to leave the Mink Tribe alone.
To the outside world, Madara and Kaido were allies, so Madara's words carried weight.
With the Mink Tribe's trust secured, Colt turned his attention to Carrot herself.
Fortunately, Carrot had always dreamed of an adventurous life on the sea.
Colt sweetened the deal with a cunning "carrot tactic." After some persuasion, the bunny-eared lady eagerly joined Colt's crew.
Thus, Colt welcomed his second "pet" into his life.

"Colt, Colt! The men who bring us food are here again! They brought lots of carrots!"
Carrot bounded over with incredible agility, leaping into Colt's arms and nuzzling his cheek affectionately.
Her adorable display melted Colt's heart, and he couldn't resist petting her soft head.
Carrot's long ears twitched and folded under his touch, eliciting a giggle from her.
"Touch them for a while longer~" she purred.
"Alright," Colt replied, savoring the fluffy texture.
Her fur was far softer than any cat, and the static electricity from their contact sent pleasant tingles through Colt's hands.
It reminded him of Pikachu.
Nami and Perona, busy in the kitchen, glared enviously at Carrot.
Their frustration was palpable.
"That sneaky, cute rabbit!" Nami fumed.
"Why is she getting all the attention?" Perona grumbled.

A New Visitor
Their small quarrel was interrupted when a group of CP agents arrived, laden with supplies.
Leading the team was none other than Hatake Sakumo, famed as the White Fang of Konoha and father to Hatake Kakashi.
Sakumo greeted Colt with a faint smile.
"Delivering supplies might seem like a small task, but even I have to earn my keep."
Colt grinned. "Sakumo-san, I didn't expect someone of your caliber to handle errands like this. Isn't it overkill?"
Sakumo chuckled, directing his subordinates to unload the supplies.
"Every little bit helps. Besides, Tobirama rewards handsomely for tasks like these."
Thanks to Colt's modifications to the Impure World Reincarnation technique, Sakumo's body resembled that of a living man, free of the cracks and discoloration typical of reanimated corpses.
"Resurrection is the ultimate goal," Sakumo added wistfully.
"Until then, I'll keep working. But you know, I can't taste this wine properly in my current state. I'd like to savor life again."
Colt laughed.
"With Kakashi around, why not let him carry the load? Besides, isn't it nice to be in peak condition forever?"
Sakumo shook his head.
"Kakashi's busy enough. Honestly, I just want him to settle down and give me a grandson already. At this rate, the Hatake line might end with him."
Colt smirked but didn't comment further.
He knew the Sakumo family's troubles weren't his to fix.

Sakumo soon turned to more serious matters.
"The boy you asked us to monitor has made his move. He set out to sea not long ago."
Colt's eyes lit up.
"Finally! I've been waiting for this moment."
Monkey D. Luffy going to sea marked the beginning of the real story, the point where the plot truly kicked off.
Robin, who had been quietly observing, couldn't hide her curiosity.
"Why pay so much attention to a rookie pirate?" she asked.
Colt chuckled.
"He's not just any pirate. Luffy is someone truly special—an interesting character worth keeping an eye on."
Turning back to Sakumo, Colt issued his orders.
"Relay this to Tobirama: reduce the World Government's surveillance of Wano Country. It's time for us to make our move."
"Also, leave one or two CP teams on standby. I'll need them soon."
Sakumo nodded, his excitement barely contained.
The thought of reuniting with Kakashi after his own resurrection filled him with anticipation.
Colt, however, remained focused on the horizon, his mind brimming with amusement and calculation.
With his presence, would the drum of liberation still echo across the seas?
"Luffy," Colt muttered under his breath, "don't disappoint me. This play is just getting started."
