Chapter 750 - The Golem Ship Awakens
Broken monitored the golem console intently as the ship began to move. His eyes were fixed on the interface, carefully watching every aspect of the golem's mechanics. He hoped the ship would fully utilize the systems they had painstakingly designed.
And then…
The moment of truth arrived.
His jaw dropped in awe as the turbines spun to life, propelling the ship forward. Even more astonishingly, the ship began to turn, smoothly adjusting its course as the mechanism for steering kicked in. The massive vessel shifted gracefully toward the open sea.
He wasn't the only one amazed. The entire room erupted in cheers and shouts of excitement as the golem ship moved.
It was really moving!
Broken burst into laughter, overwhelmed with relief. After such a monumental investment of time and resources, the thought of the golem ship being a failure had haunted him. But now, seeing it in action, all that anxiety evaporated.
Taking a step back, he dropped into a nearby chair and leaned into it, watching through the window as the golem ship slowly pulled away from the dock. On the deck outside, the crew celebrated, their cheers echoing across the harbor as they marveled at the sight of the ship moving under its own power.

"We did it, King! We actually did it! Hahaha!" Ronan, still buzzing with energy, practically shouted, his excitement filling the room.
"We did it!" Mizuki exclaimed, leaping with joy before punching Ronan playfully on the shoulder. "Ronan, we're going to explore the seas with this golem ship! This is amazing!"
Broken couldn't help but share in the infectious energy of the moment. A grin spread across his face as he soaked in the celebratory atmosphere. The golem ship was truly pulling away from the harbor now, its massive form gliding further out into the water.
But he reminded himself that this was still just a trial run. They weren't embarking on a full-fledged journey yet. For now, the goal was to put some distance between the ship and the shore to test out the various skills built into the golem.
Still, even with the trials ahead, the success of this moment filled Broken with a deep, undeniable satisfaction.
Broken stood up and began tweaking some of the ship's settings, ensuring everything was optimized for their next steps. One critical adjustment was assigning secondary command control of the golem to Ronan.
The moment the change took effect, Ronan's face froze in shock, his mouth hanging open as he realized he could now operate the ship's console.
"Oh… no way! No way! This is… this is… incredible!" Ronan shouted, his voice bursting with excitement.
"Now you're the captain of this ship. You have full control over Aego," Broken said with a smirk.
"Congratulations, Ronan! You're so lucky!" Mizuki chimed in with a grin.
"Damn, King! Why would you do this?" Ronan laughed, though it was clear he was thrilled. "King, you've seriously made my day—no, my life! This is amazing!"
The team then moved on to fine-tuning Aego's security systems, setting up protocols for responding to potential alarms or danger. After finishing those adjustments, they steered the ship far enough from the shore to test out the golem's skills.
First, they activated the camouflage skill. From inside the ship, it looked as though the vessel had been wrapped in a thin layer of shimmering water. But when Broken sent out his flying golem to observe from a distance, the effect was truly astonishing—the ship appeared completely veiled by water, blending so seamlessly with the ocean that it was nearly invisible.
"This is incredible," Broken muttered, his admiration growing with every detail.
Next, they tested the speed boost skill. When activated, Aego suddenly surged forward, racing across the water with startling speed. The sudden acceleration drew gasps and shouts of surprise from everyone onboard.
Finally, they turned their attention to the phasing skill. At first, they activated it without attempting to pass through anything. There wasn't any noticeable sensation—no jolts or shifts—but the ship's protective shield subtly changed color, signaling the skill's activation. Broken's earlier worry was put to rest when he realized the passengers weren't affected at all.
To test further, they steered Aego toward a jagged rock jutting out of the water. Everyone held their breath, hearts pounding as the ship approached. And then—seamlessly, as if the obstacle wasn't even there—the ship phased through the rock without so much as a scratch.
"It worked! It really worked!" Mizuki shouted.
"Absolutely unbelievable!" Ronan added, his face lit up with pure joy.
There was still one more task Broken needed to handle. He called for Zepy, and the bird-like golem swiftly soared through the window into the control room, landing gracefully on his shoulder.
"Woah… what a cute bird…" Mizuki said, her face lighting up with excitement.
Without a word, Broken began making adjustments, setting Zepy's secondary command control to Mizuki.
The moment the transfer was complete, Mizuki froze, her expression mirroring Ronan's earlier shock.
"King…" she said, her voice trembling. "Are you really letting me control this bird?"
"Yes," Broken replied casually. "Zepy is efficient for reconnaissance and has low energy consumption. With this, you and Ronan can divide tasks more effectively. I trust you'll do well as the ship's navigator."
"King…" Mizuki's voice wavered, and then, much to everyone's surprise, she burst into tears. "King, you're so kind! I'm so happy!"
"Stop it, Mizuki!" Ronan said, giving her a hearty pat on the back. "Now try it out! Let's see what the golem bird can actually do."
"H-Hiks!" Mizuki sniffled, wiping her tears before stepping closer to Broken. "Excuse me, King."
"Go ahead. Take it."
Carefully, Mizuki held Zepy in her hands, her eyes sparkling as she studied the golem's intricate design.
"The bird is so cute… Zepy… I love you so much!"
With a soft whir, Zepy lifted off and flew out of the control room. Mizuki quickly accessed its interface, sharing live visual footage from the golem's eyes.
"Damn! This is absolutely incredible. An autonomous golem!" Ronan said, visibly amazed.
"Yes, and we can program so many different functions for it. This is beyond amazing!" Mizuki added, her enthusiasm spilling over as she navigated Zepy's controls with increasing ease.
Afterward, Broken quietly observed as Ronan and Mizuki enthusiastically discussed various ways to optimize the use of the two golems. Their excitement was infectious, and it was clear they were eager and ready to begin their adventure across the ocean.
But that journey wouldn't start today. Not yet.
A few hours later, everyone gathered in the ship's central room. Broken stood at the front, his presence commanding attention as the crew assembled.
"In three days, Yunatea time, we'll embark on our first voyage to the West Continent," he announced, his voice steady and confident. "I trust that each of you knows what needs to be prepared. This will be our maiden voyage—a chance to test the ship's resilience on a relatively short journey."
The anticipation and determination in everyone's eyes told Broken everything he needed to know.
"Thank you for your enthusiasm!" he continued, a small smile breaking across his face. "Let's sail the world, Vensalor Outriders!"
The room erupted with a unified cheer:
"To the seas!"
