Chapter 104: Potion Brewing!
[Congratulations, you have learned the skill 'Potion Brewing'!]
"Not a good feeling at all..." Lucas grumbled with a weak headache.
The headache was pretty much the worst he could have had if he was on Earth but after experiencing the 'Herbalism' headache, every migraine seemed to be bland.
"Hm? So that is how you do it." Lucas talked to himself while he skimmed through the newly found knowledge of how to make potions and the equipment needed.
Lucas directly went outside where everyone was doing something of their own. Some were sitting leisurely on the camp while some were training their skills or making the raw products for the shelter upgrade.
"Uncle John, can your cousin make me a mortal and pestle if possible? I need it urgently."
John was currently in the process of making a breakthrough in his wind manipulation when Lucas arrived. He wanted to be mad at him but thought that it would be very important if he came and asked on his own for something.
"What is a Mortar and pestle?"
"Uhh... you know the two things you need in order to grind stuff and make powder or a mix. The pestle is the thick blunt rod with which you grind things in a circular inside container known as a mortar." Lucas marveled over the fact that he knew about this stuff when clearly he had not used them in his whole life.
"Ah... those things, yeah I can make an order today through Ella, my cooldown has not gone away till now. Anything else?"
"And a cauldron would be nice."
Lucas had to explain to him what a caldron was. Lucas just came to know about the most basic equipment used in potion brewing and it was a cauldron.
The mortar and pestle may be needed but it was still not compulsory but it was tough to brew potions without the cauldron.
A cauldron is typically a pot in which food is made but it has to be sturdy, thick, and big. It's the basic equipment in which the mixture of ingredients is to be put in a liquid in order to brew it into a potion with capabilities better than the liquid and the ingredients that were used to make it.
When Lucas was done with explaining what the equipment was and also making the curiosity of others fulfilled. He went outside the shelter with a lookout for those basic flora that he usually let to grow better in his absence.
----
Regditas
Common grade
-Consumable
-Craftable
A plant usually found in the whole expanse of the Avaeloneon forest. If used correctly, the plant can provide many benefits to the user's body.
----
'For normal folks, this is the information but I know different things.' Lucas thought with a smirk.
This plant could be used in making some product that could regenerate mana but Lucas just didn't know how to process it.
He had various basic methods in his brain that were included with the skill.
'It may have stated that I don't get any recipes and I have got to experiment but the skill still gave me some methods to proceed. I am not totally hopeless it seems.' He gave himself some motivation as he decided to proficiently take the plant out without letting a single part destroy or break due to impatience.
When Lucas was done, he looked at the common looking white colored flower on top of the small finger sized plant. Your journey continues at empire
Lucas had a method in his mind, it included making the leaves and petals of the plant dry through artificial or natural ways and using it but if he were to just use it as it is, Lucas was confident that he would get some success.
He could then go for some more complicated methods that he knew about but first, he had the need to get the equipment quickly.
Lucas had stated to John before he could make Ella call that the Cauldron was a priority over the other equipment and to negotiate the hell out of the situation until John get a fair price according to him.
After plucking some more Regditas out of the ground, he made his way toward the shelter whose entrance was just a few steps away.
"It's good that you are back, Meln is saying that it would take him a few hours to build it but the priority order could make the payment with the meat increase by five," John stated the moment Lucas placed his first step inside the shelter.
"Priority order? What does he think he is? A business owner?" Lucas felt ridiculed when John stated the priority order and such a high meat payment.
He in no way had less quantity and it was even good to make use of it quickly so that everything is used up before the degradation.
But Lucas still wanted to get things done with fewer of them as any situation could come up at any time.
"Yeah, he is saying that after the demand increased for his woodwork, he is getting no time to actually level up. But he now has a woodcarving skill and it's even above level 2 now."
"He told you all this on his own?" Lucas was perplexed by all the information that seemed to be very vital.
"I have my ways of getting things done, Lucas. You should let me teach you sometimes."
"Ugh, you talk like my mother, I am going inside the shelter and please get me the cauldron quickly, it will benefit the group a lot."
John's whole demeanor changed when he thought about the help for the whole group. He nodded and made his son call his cousin again in order to make him do the work faster.
Lucas made his way inside the shelter and sat down to properly treat the plant that he just bought with him.
Seeing him do this work manually, Haley interjected from a corner with a snort that made Lucas look at her with a dumb expression.
"I don't know what you are doing this for, but why don't you use the dissection skill on this plant?"
