“Where should we go?”
Ha Jun-seo, sensing Kim Min-seok’s gaze, met his eyes and asked.
“Huh?”
When Kim Min-seok didn’t quite catch the question, Ha Jun-seo smiled slightly and repeated himself.
“Shall we go to my place, or to Ha-yoon’s?”
“…Obviously, to Seo Ha-yoon’s—no, I mean, to my place.”
At Kim Min-seok’s response, Ha Jun-seo nodded nonchalantly. It seemed like they were already comfortable going in and out of each other’s homes.
“Uh, but my place, I mean, our home, it’s…”
Kim Min-seok took this opportunity to ask what was on his mind. But he hesitated, unsure how to phrase it. To be honest, he wanted to ask whether this body belonged to a rich family’s young master or a broke guy. But wasn’t that way too embarrassing to ask outright?
Ha Jun-seo seemed to have figured out what Kim Min-seok really wanted to know but patiently listened until he finished speaking. In the end, Kim Min-seok gave up on subtlety and just asked outright.
“Where do I live?”
“Hmm… an apartment?”
An apartment in Seoul, huh.
“Is it rented monthly, on a lease, or owned?”
Ha Jun-seo chuckled softly.
“How big is it?”
“Probably around thirty pyeong (roughly 99 square meters)?”
“Oh!”
Kim Min-seok let out an unfiltered exclamation of awe. A thirty-pyeong apartment in Seoul! And he lived there alone?!
“Am I rich, by any chance? Like, am I some kind of rich family’s young master or something?”
Ha Jun-seo once again responded with nothing but a quiet smile. Then, reaching out, he gently patted Kim Min-seok’s head.
“You really are cute.”
Ha Jun-seo muttered under his breath. His eyes and lips held a deep smile, though for a moment—maybe it was just a trick of the light—his smile seemed to carry a hint of bitterness.
While Ha Jun-seo answered most of his questions kindly and obediently, there were a few he simply brushed off with a small chuckle. Still, the answers Kim Min-seok had already received were enough, so he didn’t press further.
Before he knew it, the car had entered a high-rise luxury apartment complex. The vehicle must have already been registered, as it passed through the entrance without issue. Ha Jun-seo smoothly maneuvered into the underground parking lot, parking the car with practiced ease. After unbuckling his seatbelt carefully—mindful of even the smallest scratch on such an expensive car—Kim Min-seok was about to step out when Ha Jun-seo walked around and opened the passenger-side door for him.
The moment he got out of the car, his head spun.
As if expecting it, Ha Jun-seo immediately reached out and supported him. Clutching his temples, Kim Min-seok thought to himself that he really must have hurt his head.
“Don’t force yourself to move. Just stay still for a moment.”
Ha Jun-seo spoke gently, holding him steady.
After blinking a few times, Kim Min-seok’s vision gradually cleared.
“I’m fine now. Thanks.”
He carefully removed Ha Jun-seo’s hand. Ha Jun-seo still didn’t seem convinced and looked like he wanted to keep supporting him, but when Kim Min-seok gently pushed him away, he relented and took a step back.
Inside the elevator, Ha Jun-seo pressed the button for the 23rd floor.
Kim Min-seok stared intently at the large mirror on the side of the elevator.
At the hospital, he had only seen his reflection in the small mirror the doctor showed him or the faint image in the glass doors. But this was the first time he was looking at himself so closely in such a large mirror.
His skin, slightly pale, was as white as snow. His well-shaped eyes sat perfectly above a small beauty mark. They weren’t too big or too small—just the right size. Turning his head from side to side, he studied the man in the mirror and couldn’t help but admire him.
Seo Ha-yoon, this man, wasn’t just handsome—he was mesmerizing. His entire presence radiated an intense charm, with a subtle but undeniable sensuality.
As Kim Min-seok marveled inwardly, his eyes suddenly met Ha Jun-seo’s reflection in the mirror. Ha Jun-seo had been watching him quietly with an observant expression. The moment their gazes locked, he flashed a small, knowing smile.
Ding.
The elevator stopped.
Ha Jun-seo stepped out first and walked to the door on the right. Without hesitation, he entered the passcode.
The password was Seo Ha-yoon and Kim Min-seok’s birthdays.
Using your birthday as a passcode? That’s just asking to get robbed.
Kim Min-seok thought to himself as he stepped through the door Ha Jun-seo held open.
The moment he entered, his excitement turned into sheer awe.
“Wow!”
Kim Min-seok let out an unfiltered exclamation as he quickly kicked off his shoes and rushed inside.
A thirty-pyeong apartment—no wonder it felt massive, like a palace. Well, maybe it wasn’t quite palace-sized, but for someone who had been living in a cramped goshiwon, this place was more than grand enough.
“Wow. This is totally a rich guy’s house.”
He mumbled to himself as he eagerly explored the apartment.
Everything—from the interior design to the furniture—was perfectly arranged. There wasn’t a single speck of dust or a stray piece of trash anywhere. Even the bathroom was spotless, showing no signs of use.
He had never been to one, but this place felt exactly like a high-end hotel.
While Kim Min-seok wandered around, eagerly exploring every corner of the apartment, Ha Jun-seo casually took out some fruit and drinks from the kitchen refrigerator and began preparing them.
Kim Min-seok glanced at Ha Jun-seo peeling the fruit with curious eyes, then turned his attention to the wide-open living room window. Letting out a low whistle, he asked,
“Wow, is that the Han River?”
Pressed up against the window, he stared in awe.
Ha Jun-seo responded with a silent smile. That seemed like a yes.
Not that he needed confirmation. What else in this city could be that massive a body of water?
A brand-new high-rise apartment in the heart of Seoul with a view of the Han River? And he lived here alone?! This wasn’t just wealth—this was insane wealth.
As he gazed blankly down at the river, Kim Min-seok caught his faint reflection in the window. A body with this level of looks and financial power… No matter how many times he was reborn, there was no way he’d ever get this lucky again.
And yet, somehow, he had ended up inside this body.
Was this, perhaps… the biggest stroke of luck in his entire life?
The thought made Kim Min-seok gulp.
Come to think of it, why would he even try to return to his original body?
The real Kim Min-seok had an average height, an average face, and barely any money—just over two million won in his bank account and a cramped goshiwon room to call home. He had dropped out of college after one semester, didn’t have any useful qualifications, and lived a low-class life with no prospects.
But Seo Ha-yoon’s body…
“Ha-yoon?”
Ha Jun-seo’s voice called from behind him, warm and gentle.
Kim Min-seok slowly turned to face him.
Those soft, affectionate eyes.
Had he ever, even once in his life, been looked at like that?
Not a single time.
This body had everything he had never even dared to wish for.
So then… why should he go back?
“Are you okay? Are you feeling dizzy again?”
Ha Jun-seo, looking concerned, reached out to check Kim Min-seok’s forehead.
Snapping back to reality, Kim Min-seok subtly avoided his overly gentle touch. Ha Jun-seo, unfazed, simply guided him toward the living room sofa.
As he sat down, his eyes landed on the fruit plate and drink in front of him. The way the fruit had been carefully peeled and arranged so beautifully made him smile without thinking.
“Even if you don’t have much appetite, try to eat. We’ll have a proper dinner soon.”
“Okay.”
Without argument, Kim Min-seok nodded and picked up a fork.
A selection of expensive fruits—ones he normally couldn’t even afford to think about—lay before him, just waiting to be eaten. The thought was almost intoxicating.
Just as he stabbed a piece of fruit and was about to bring it to his mouth—
Beep, beep, beep, beep—
An electronic chime rang out, followed by the front door swinging open.
The person who walked in was none other than Choi Sang-hyuk.
As always, his expression was sour as he kicked off his shoes and stepped inside.
Kim Min-seok hesitated, then awkwardly got up from his seat. Uncertain of what to do, he simply stared at Choi Sang-hyuk.
“…Does Choi Sang-hyuk also know my house’s passcode?”
He couldn’t hide his bewilderment as he asked.
It was already shocking enough that he seemed to have two lovers, but knowing that both of them had the passcode to his home?
What kind of person was Seo Ha-yoon to be living like this?
Had he already slept with one of them? Or both? And what if he was in the middle of doing something intimate with one when the other barged in like this?
Holy shit. Intimate? As in… sex?!
Kim Min-seok quickly shook the thought out of his head.
“Just eat,” Ha Jun-seo murmured, pulling Kim Min-seok back down onto the sofa with a gentle motion.
Choi Sang-hyuk narrowed his eyes at the sight of them sitting so close together, watching for a moment before slowly making his way toward the couch.
The distance between them shrank.
As Choi Sang-hyuk got closer, Kim Min-seok instinctively shrank back slightly.
Sensing his reaction, Ha Jun-seo gently patted his shoulder, as if to reassure him.
Choi Sang-hyuk walked past the long sofa where they sat and settled into a single-seater armchair.
Leaning back deeply against the black leather, he crossed his legs, exuding an air of arrogance.
The problem was… that arrogance suited him perfectly, like a figure straight out of a classical painting.
Well, it’s not like this body is the type to cower in front of Choi Sang-hyuk either.
Kim Min-seok muttered internally, pursing his lips slightly.
“So,” Choi Sang-hyuk drawled, his tone cool and measured. “Now that you’re out of the hospital, how about we have a real talk?”
