Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World

Chapter 88 Cave

As Xavier crossed the pool suddenly the water rippled again and he quickly moved away but this time the lifeless body of the creature popped out of the water floating on the surface.

"Is it dead?" Xavier muttered to himself as he slowly approached the beast.

The beast mouth was opened and Xavier used his sword to touch the beast to confirm it was really dead.

Xavier turned around to leave before then remembered beasts had crystal, and with his skill Arcane siphon he could extract the Mana, and a beast like this would definitely have more Mana than normal.

Xavier had no idea where the beast Mana core was so he had to open it up, and his sword couldn't penetrate the skin so he had to go through the mouth.

Xavier sighed, realizing he had more work to do. He stepped closer to the beast's mouth, carefully prying it open.

The sharp teeth was the first things he noticed and he cut one out as a souvenir placing it in his inventory, then he turned his focus on finding the mana core. Using his sword, he carefully slid the blade deeper into the creature's mouth. The skin was tough, but from inside, the tissue gave way more easily.

With each careful slice, he pushed his sword further in until he felt a small, hard sphere nestled behind thick muscle.

Xavier's eyes lit up as he realized he had found it. He reached in, gripping the sphere and pulling it out, feeling the rush of power even before he activated his Mana Siphon skill and the system screen came up.

[Sea Serpent Crystal]

[Advance tier crystal]

'Advance tier, I really killed an advance tier beast'

[Arcane Siphon]

[+30 Mana]

[+10 Mana absorbed]

[Mana: 120/120]

"Worth it," Xavier muttered.

The Mana core restored his Mana he used up when coating his body against the beast, and increase his own Mana pool by 10.

With the core fully drained, he tossed the lifeless orb aside and turned to leave, the water behind him now calm and still with ge body of the serpent floating on top.

Xavier continued forward through a narrow path that couldn't accommodate two people side by side, the path was lit and he continued till he reached another large room.

The room was bigger than the last room and the path continued at the other side, but the left and right side of the room had two holes which Xavier was sure contained beasts.

Xavier took a deep breath as he stepped carefully into the large room, his senses on high alert.

He glanced at the holes on both sides of the room. They were dark and deep, each large enough for a creature to leap out at any moment.

Xavier tightened his grip on his sword and stepped forward cautiously. His boots made a soft tapping sound on the stone floor as he moved, the noise echoing in the silence.

"Let's get this over with," he muttered, eyes darting from one side of the room to the other.

Suddenly, a low growl came from the left hole.

Xavier froze, his muscles tensing as he prepared for an attack. Out of the darkness emerged a pack of frost wolves, their fur white and glistening like fresh snow, eyes glowing a fierce blue.

Xavier had never seen a wolf like this, he knew about black wolves, brown but he had never heard of wolves like this, and they were really beautiful, but he couldn't admire them as they were coming for him.

Before Xavier could react, another growl echoed from the right hole. More wolves joined the first, bringing the total to five.

They surrounded him, their breath visible in the cold air, creating a tense standoff. Xavier took a step back to assess his options.

"Great, a whole pack," he said sarcastically, shifting his stance.

The nearest wolf lunged at him, jaws wide open. Xavier sidestepped quickly, using his sword to slash at the beast's side. The wolf yelped but didn't slow down. The others followed, fangs bared and growling as they closed in.

Xavier needed a plan. He couldn't fight them all at once. He glanced around the room for anything he could use to his advantage. The wolves were fast and agile, but of course they were animals . If he could lure them into one spot, he might be able to strike multiple times.

Taking a deep breath, Xavier quickly dashed backward.

The wolves turned their focus on him, growling in unison.

Xavier sprinted back to the tight path he came from where they would have less room to maneuver. As they charged, he spun around, his sword ready.

Just as the first wolf lunged, Xavier moved backwards a little slashing upward as he moved forward. The blade met the wolf's side, and it howled in pain, stumbling away and falling on the ground.

The second wolf tried to leap over its fallen packmate, but Xavier was quick, slashing again and hitting it in the leg.

With two wolves now injured, the remaining pack hesitated, but only for a moment. The two healthy wolves charged forward, and Xavier sidestepped again, using the momentum to drive his sword deep into the shoulder of one wolf. It collapsed with a yelp.

Xavier turned to face the last three wolves, which were now backing away slightly, uncertainty in their eyes.

"Not so brave now?" he taunted, advancing slowly.

With a burst of energy, one of the remaining wolves lunged, snapping its jaws at him. Xavier dodged and swung his sword down hard, landing a blow that sent the creature tumbling to the ground.

The last two wolves exchanged glances, sensing their advantage was slipping. They growled but did not retreat. Sensing their hesitation, Xavier charged at them, swinging his sword with precision. He struck one wolf down and quickly turned to the final beast. It snarled, baring its fangs, but Xavier was faster, lunging forward to deliver a final, decisive blow.

Breathing heavily, Xavier wiped sweat from his brow and looked around the room, now quiet except for the sound of his own heartbeat.

"That was too close," he muttered, now he had five crystal cores to dig from the wolves.
