Chapter 11: Identification sphere
After Nim's battle, the other participants also came down to take the test, some failed and others luckier passed by a very narrow margin.
In the end everyone had taken the test, in total eight people had passed which would be half of all the participants.
Nim who was waiting patiently smiles when he sees the last participant finish.
-Very well all of you follow me- Nim and the other participants who had passed, begin to follow the instructor.
The instructor leads the group of eight to leave the battle arena, after a few minutes of walking they arrive at a large door
This door seemed different from all the others they had seen during the course of the trip.
The large door had images of various magical creatures, and in the center there was an opening.
The instructor takes a deep breath and a light begins to emanate, then raises a hand and touching the opening inserts that light into the door.
The door begins to shine with strange patterns and begins to open slowly.
The participants behind the instructor are surprised to see the reaction of this strange door, probably what was behind it was something important.
After a few more seconds, the door opens completely, the instructor enters the room and the participants follow his steps.
The room was spacious but there was nothing around, there was only a medium-sized white sphere in the middle of the room.
That sphere is placed on a scepter.
-Everyone listen, this sphere is called the identification sphere, you will have to put your hand on the sphere so that it gives you your identification card.
The instructor calmly explains to the participants.
- Well, whoever wants to be the first can step forward and start, don't be afraid it's quite simple.
The instructor says the last sentence when he sees that no one approaches the sphere, just when he was about to say something else a young man steps forward.
Nim, seeing that no one was advancing, chose to be the first, with firm steps he approaches the white sphere and puts his hand on its surface.
The sphere that had not had any reaction until now begins to emanate a slight glow, which moments later illuminates the entire room.
Nim, who was in front of the sphere, does not notice the glow, because at this moment he was concentrating on the strange feeling he was having at that moment.
After a few seconds, the sphere of light begins to decrease its luminosity until it returns to normal, becoming opaque as at the beginning.
Nim, who was in front of the sphere, comes out of the small trance he was in and begins to observe his body, making some movements without feeling any change.
-How did it go, what did you feel?
The instructor asks Nim upon seeing his behavior.
-When I touched the sphere I felt a strange sensation of connection with the sphere- Nim had his doubts about that strange feeling, so he answers honestly.
-That feeling is normal, everyone has felt it when touching the sphere for the first time.
The instructor continues - now try to summon your ID card -
Nim makes a movement with his hand and a greyish ID card appears.
The card had Nim's name and level written on it, the area where the class should go was empty.
- Well now I will explain some functions of the card, first of all this card can be stored in the body of the adventurer, the information that is written on the card only shows three pieces of data, the name, the level and his class - instructor.
- Also now that you are linked to the sphere you can see your current level and your class as well as other characteristics just by thinking about it.
Nim, upon hearing the last thing, begins to try to see his data mentally.
[Race: Human]
[Name: Nim]
[Age: 13 years]
[Level: 7]
[Class: Not acquired]
Seeing that information Nim is surprised, it was incredible that something like that existed.
Seeing that he didn't have a class yet, he thinks about it for a bit and another piece of information appears.
[Class: Warrior]
[Requirements]
-Kill 50 monsters with any short-range weapon
-Be level 10
[Status: Doesn't meet level]
Nim could also see the requirements to acquire a class, then he starts to look at the swordsman class, and he realizes that it asks for the same amount of monsters, only it had to be with a sword, he had met the first requirement of these two classes, he only needed the level and could acquire one.
The instructor who was still explaining some things about the card sees Nim staring into space while he was immersed in his thoughts, seeing this he knows that the latter was exploring the functions of the card.
-Finally if you want to show your level and your class to someone you can do this.
The instructor takes out his card with a movement of his hand and subsequently his card emanates a slight glow and begins to project some words.
[Name: Jhon]
[Level: 27]
[Class: Great Swordsman]
-You can choose the information you want to be shown.
After a few seconds the projection disappears and the instructor puts away his card.
-Well I have already explained the essentials of the card, if you want to know more functions you will have to find out for yourself, now continue.
The other participants upon hearing this begin to advance one by one to be able to obtain their own card.
Nim who had already stepped aside, continued to explore more functions of the card.
Uncle Smith hadn't explained much about the card, he had told him that it was better for him to experience it first hand since it was something difficult to explain.
He hadn't even used a projection of his card when he had trained Nim, anyway that didn't matter now since he had finally obtained his own card.
Several minutes later everyone had obtained their card after touching the sphere, those who had been waiting were immersed in exploring the functions of the card just as Nim had done at the beginning.
-Ready, now you are all officially adventurers, I will only say one word to you "survive".
After finishing with this the instructor opened the door again, all the new adventurers left and began to head to the great hall of the guild, now that they were adventurers they wanted to take a quest or look for a group to enter the dungeon.
Nim especially wanted to do the latter, he was considering looking for a group or just entering alone.
Still undecided, he arrives at the great hall of the guild, upon arriving he is greeted by the usual noise.
In the end he had decided to try to find a group, to find one he simply had to go to the notice board and see some group requests.
Or else, he could approach some adventurers or groups of these same ones that were around the room, it was easy to distinguish those who were looking for a group since they projected their identification card while talking to other adventurers.
With that in mind he went to ask the people who were looking for a group, after several attempts he realized something, nobody wanted to accept him.
The adventurers he had asked had been scared away after projecting their identification card.
Asking one of the kindest adventurers, he replied that it was because of his low level that no one wanted to take him as he would be a burden, then he recommended that he look for adventurers below level 10.
After this experience, Nim thought again if it would be a good idea to look for a group, if he entered with adventurers below level 10, most likely they would not be able to keep up with him.
In the end it seemed that he would have to enter alone, normally adventurers chose to enter in a group, whether it was three members or five, with such a group they would feel safer when facing the dangers of the dungeon.
Although there were also a number of adventurers who entered alone, they were few, since the dungeon was not a pleasant place for these solitary adventurers.
