The lights of the stadium cascaded down on the sole rock platform in the middle of the raging sea.
"In the black corner, representing Rexi-Da-Merci as their first fighter, Lukah Rosemaru!"

As the commentator's voice blasted throughout the air, the light fell down on a masked man. He stood still, his eyes hidden behind the mask, exuding an aura of mystery and power.
The mask looked like a sinister smile, and Lukah's high-collar jacket covered his neck area like a neck brace, and the black jacket coat reached down to his knees, making him appear taller and more intimidating.
"Lukah had been the vanguard for Rexi-Da-Merci for years! He has always been a reliable starter and the backbone of their team!"
The color of the light turned into the colors of his flag.
"He is representing the country of Nix, a tier-2 country, and so far, he is the only Martial Emperor in the entire Nix's history!"
Lukah silently stood. The raging waves didn't disturb him. He had been preparing for this match for the last three days.
The preparation days were long before the matches. The fighters must be in perfect condition physically and mentally.
"Now, on the gold corner, we have Godspeed Monarchy's first fighter, Mikael Ikariah!"
As soon as he was announced, the crowd jumped to their feet and started screaming excitedly. It was like they were a bunch of fangirls finally seeing their favorite idol.
Mikael smiled and waved to the crowd.
He was tanned from head to toe, his muscles rippling underneath his skin, and he wore golden jacket and trousers with some black lightnings bolting across the fabric.
"Godspeed Monarchy came like a thunder to the World Fighting League, and in just a mere year, they made themselves known as one of the strongest and most dominant clubs in the league!
"Their vanguard, Mikael Ikariah, is the second youngest fighter of the Emperor League, but he has already shown himself to be a force to be reckoned with!"
With that, the bright lights disappeared, leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement for the upcoming match.
At the large screen on top of the stadium, the countdown for the start of the match started. The crowd started to count down as well.
"10!"
"9!"
"8!"
Lukah hunched over slightly, put his arms in front of him, and looked like he was ready to lunge forward as soon as the fight started.
"7!"
"6!"
"5!"
"4!"
Mikael's lips curled into a smile, and he shifted his balance to his back leg, preparing to strike as soon as the countdown reached zero.
"3!"
"2!"
"1"
"FIGHT!"
Swoosh!
The ones who just blinked missed the first move. It all happened instantaneously.
A fist appeared in front of Lukah's face. It belonged to Mikael, who crossed the distance between them in just a millisecond.
Lukah's eyes behind the mask sharpened, and from thin air, a halberd materialized in his hand, and the axe blade blocked the fist.
BOOM!
The ground under the two exploded, and the air filled with smoke and debris.
In excitement, the crowd cheered loudly.
Lukah swung his halberd and pushed Mikael away. The tanned man hopped away from the attack, bouncing up and down on the ground with insane speed.
It was almost like Mikael didn't weigh anything, as he was able to jump so quickly that it looked weightless.
"There we go, fellas! The two are showing their martial abilities from the get-go!
"Lukah is a weapon conjuration user. He has a vast arsenal of weapons at his disposal, which he can summon at any time. Whether it is his favorite weapon halberd, spears, swords or just knives, he can summon them all!
"Mikael, on the other hand, is a Special-type fighter. A very rare kind. He can make things weightless, such as himself, which allows him to move with incredible speed!
"It is a very difficult ability to master, and from the start, Mikael was only able to make himself float, which in the eyes of most would be pretty worthless since all he could do was float and not move!
"However, he didn't let that stop him from practicing every day and improving his skills. Therefore, he became one of the rare people who've genuinely mastered his ability!"
Lukah lunged forward, and then, in the air around him, different kinds of weapons manifested.
Spears, swords, knives, staffs, halberds, axes, and even a few shurikens.
A few sweat drops appeared on Lukah's forehead. It looked like manifesting all these different types of weapons weren't as easy as others were thinking!
"Move!"
Lukah pointed his finger at Mikael, then lowered his finger to point at the ground under him. The weapons flew ahead and stabbed the ground around Mikael.
They made a circle around him.
"Nine Circle Magic!"
Lukah quickly did some hand signals, and his weapons, which were stabbed in the ground, started glowing brightly.
Magic circles, nine of them, appeared in the air above Mikael. They were spinning like a whirlwind, each one emitting a different colored light.
The crowd couldn't help but be awed at the beautiful sight. The children looked round-eyed and thought that it was the coolest and most beautiful sight any of them had ever seen.
However, it was beautiful sight before destruction.
"Heh!"
Mikael stomped the ground, shattered the circle of weapons, and he then grabbed the weapons, made them weightless, and threw them high into the air.
As they were weightless, they kept floating higher and higher, causing the nine magic circles to dwindle and disappear into nothingness.
"Tch!"
Lukah clicked his tongue, and then Mikael appeared in front of him and threw a powerful punch that would be strong enough to shatter nearby mountains to pieces!
With the halberd, he blocked the punch, but the rock platform under them shattered into millions of pieces.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The fists and the axe blade of the halberd exchanged blows. If this kind of battle happened in the middle of a rural city, the buildings would've all been blasted into pieces.
Which was why these kinds of matches were held in special stadiums, far away from any civilization.
The crowd used to be in danger during these matches hundreds of years ago, but after the technology had advanced, the crowd was now protected by large force fields, ensuring their safety at all times.
