Chapter 245: Scorching Summer and Month of Love

Swoosh!

Through the bright flash, Kiernan arrived back in Gaul and saw Sabbath facing him, looking half-asleep and wearing his tight-looking pajamas.

It seemed like he liked to wear pajamas but couldn't find anything that could fit him.

"So, how did it go?"

Sabbath asked.

"I am not bored anymore. Don't send me to those shitty missions anymore, aight?"

"That well, huh?"

Sabbath chuckled but then noticed the state of Kiernan's arms. They were strangely red, the muscles looked extremely tense, and there was bruising on his forearms.

"Your arms are broken."

"Huh…"

Kiernan looked at his arms. He thought it was quite painful but didn't quite pay attention to it.

He then lifted his arms, and using the Bone Harmony, he set his broken bones back into place. They clicked into places like well-oiled gears.

"Fixed."

"Heh…"

Sabbath patted him on the shoulder and told him to go get some sleep. Kiernan nodded, and headed straight to his bed.

'Now that I am done with Rotaker Island, stuff is over. I must focus all my attention on the nationals. It isn't too far away…'

The months flew by quickly; the coldness of the winter had long passed, and it was time for the summer's warmth to take over.

The cicada songs filled the air. Birds came flying in through the north and west. The sun in the sky burned strong with insane heat.

It was a scorching summer.

At that moment, the school bell rang, and the students gathered in a classroom, silence filling the air like a suffocating blanket.

The teacher started the time on her stopwatch, and immediately after, the students opened their test papers and started answering at their own pace.

"Mhm…"

Julian tried to fan himself with the test paper, trying to shake off the unbearable heat. The other students were also suffering from the heat.

All of them had changed to their summer uniforms—boys wore short-sleeved shirts and shorts—the girls had skirts and short-sleeved shirts.

'I think this is the correct answer.'

Kiernan slowly answered the questions one after another.

In the last month, all he had done was training, hangout with other students in the dormitory, and study for this test.

Therefore, he was quite well prepared.

'This one is easy… and this one… what was it… Yeah, that one.'

A slight smile appeared on his lips as, after each answer, it just became easier and easier for him.

The forty-five minutes of the test time soon came to an end.

"Time's up!"

Mrs. Jennifer shouted and started collecting papers from the students.

She noticed the varying looks on the faces of some of the students. Some looked apathetic, some looked nervous, and some looked relieved.

Kiernan handed his paper to her, a small smile playing on his lips. He managed to answer every question and believed he did well on the test.

After collecting every paper, Mrs. Jennifer returned to her desk and then told everyone.

"This was the last class of the day, but Azer told me that he wants all of you to stay here. He'll come to have a meeting. As you all know, the representation match is just around the corner."

The students looked at Kiernan and the rest. It was again this time of the year—the representation matches!

Everyone expected them to easily make it through the representation matches, but since it was already this time of the year, the nationals were just around the corner!

'I guess it has been about year since I got reincarnated…'

Kiernan thought to himself.

The door of the classroom then opened, and Azer walked in, carrying himself with confidence like always.

He thanked Jennifer for allowing him to borrow the classroom, and then he faced the class with a smile.

"I've received a date for the representation matches. It is happening in three days, but the members of the team will travel there tomorrow.

"After representation matches, if we go through, which I hope we do, we'll head straight to Tiamut's Training Village to do the final preparations."

A nervousness grew in the hearts of the students.

There was a belief that their school might be able to win the national championship. The thought of winning filled them with excitement.

After that, the meeting quickly came to an end, and the students quickly packed their books into their backpacks and headed out.

"It's already time, huh?"

Julian thought out loud as he walked next to Kiernan. Continue your saga on My Virtual Library Empire

He'd been focusing on fixing his martial soul, and he was confident enough in saying that he had fixed it mostly. Not entirely, yet.

Kiernan stayed silent, but his fingers were twitching in nervousness.

'I can't afford to make mistakes. These stupid nerves will be the death of me.'

"Hey~!"

The sweet-looking Julia appeared between the two and linked arms with them. She was a head shorter than both of them, making her look like a little sister of the two.

"How did your test go, Julia?"

Kiernan asked.

"I am pretty sure I aced it~"

She said with a cheeky smile.

"I am actually burning. It is like a thousand degrees out here. I am from a hot climate, so I thought I had gotten used to warm weather, but holy shit, this is something else!"

Julian cried out.

"You're so weak-willed, Julian. If you can't handle a simple heat, how can you handle two broken legs, broken arms, a broken neck, and fifty of your bones crushed in a fight?"

Kiernan said with a chuckle.

"If I end up in that situation to begin with, I am done, bro. I give up. I lost the fight. GG."

Julia giggled at their banter and then looked around the hallways of the school. It was an air of love in the air with most of the students holding hands with their beloved someone.

The single ones looked grudgingly at them.

She had received quite a few confessions, but she rejected them all.

'Hmm, romance…'

Julia turned to Kiernan, blinked her round eyes innocently, and then looked away with flushed cheeks.
