MARVEL: Exposing The SCP Foundation.

Chapter 42: Ancient One: What About My Successor? New Inventory!

Strange quickly hailed a taxi and drove to a nearby library, where he could use its computers. His face was filled with ecstasy, not expecting he'd actually manage to heal his hands, or get entirely new ones made out of fabric. Not that he was complaining, this is more than he could've hoped for.

He quickly found a computer, trying to email Christine and tell her about the Teddy Bear that healed his hands. Suddenly, he noticed a picture of the same Teddy Bear he had, trending on the Internet. Clicking on the post, he noticed his name being mentioned several times, along with videos of when he interacted with the old man. "SCP 2295 "? Strange was shocked, realizing what he'd encountered was an anomaly from the SCP Foundation.

...

Kamar-Taj.

Seeing the screen dim after strange refuse to join Mordo, the Ancient One was at a loss for words. Strange was the best among them, and she knew that. That's why she'd hoped to guide him herself, so he can become the next Sorcerer Supreme. But all of this has come to not, all because of a little Teddy Bear.

"It seems outrageous, but I'm not about to let this little Teddy Bear ruin my retirement plan".

"If I have to force the hand of fate, then I will". The Ancient One murmured to herself as she cast a portal spell.

...

In the library…..

"SCP Foundation, huh? So you're one of those really scary creatures on the light curtain"? Strange had an apprehensive look on his face, not knowing what to feel. On the one hand, those creatures that were inventoried before were really terrifying, but on the other hand, this anomaly just healed his hands. After a bit of hesitation, he took a deep breath. "No matter, you healed my hands. You can't be all that bad, right"? He smiled, looking at the Teddy Bear.

Suddenly, there were yellow sparks in the air, moving in a circle and finally forming a portal. The same man he met at the motel, followed by an elderly woman in a yellow robe and a hoodie came out of the portal. The Ancient One and Baron Mordo arrived.

"Doctor Strange". The Ancient One said: "Come, follow me to Kamar-Taj, this is your destiny".

"No"! Strange refused immediately. Not knowing who these people were, and the display of magic they just showed, he would definitely not follow them into a mysterious portal.

The Ancient One looked at Strange, letting out a sigh. "You are the future Sorcerer Supreme, you must take up this mantle, or the world will be shrouded and darkness". Hearing this, Baron Mordo had a look of intense jealousy. He felt resentment towards Strange for refusing, and even more towards the Ancient One for not acknowledging him.

....

SHIELD Headquarters.

Looking at the dimmed screen on the light curtain, the Agents were all quiet, not knowing what to say. This Special Containment 2295 broke their previous cognition of the SCP Foundation and its anomalies. They were surprised that such a helpful and kind hearted anomaly would exist amongst so many terrifying monsters in the SCP Foundation.

"Everyone, I think we need to update our information on this SCP Foundation". Nick Fury spoke up. The Agents all looked at him, wanting to know what to update about their information on the Foundation.

"Our understanding about the different object classes might be wrong. They're not classified according to their threat levels as we first theorized". Nick Fury said.

As soon as he said this, many of the SHIELD Agents, including the HYDRA undercover paid full attention to Nick Fury. Since the previous Red Sea Object was inventoried, many of the agents guessed that the object classes did not represent the threat level. The Red Sea Object was classified as a Euclid class, but its threat was no less than the other Keter-classes.

"If it's not based on the level of threat, then what do the object classes signify, Director"? A senior SHIELD Agent asked.

"From what I've analyzed, they likely signify the difficulty in containment". Nick Fury replied to the Agent.

"Difficulty in Containment"? Some of the SHIELD Agents were confused, while others finally understood and nodded in agreement.

Nick Fury nodded, and began to explain: "For example, the Sculpture, the Shy Guy, the Plague Doctor, and the Red Sea Object. Although they are dangerous, and their anomalous properties make them a threat to the world, the catastrophe they could cause is both limited in time an area of effect. So, as long as you have the relevant information on the anomaly, it's not too difficult to contain them. These are all Euclid class".

Everyone agreed with what he said.

"As for the Contagious Crystal, or the Many Winged Angel, the difficulty in containment is much much higher"! Nick Fury continued. "One will spread to the whole world if left unchecked, and the other needs complete sound insulation... Which is almost impossible to do while trying to contain it at the same time". This is why they are classified as Keter, they are almost impossible to contain, or are more likely to breach containment compared to the Euclid-classes".

"As for the newest Safe-class, that one speaks for itself". Nick Fury said as he eyed the SHIELD Agents. "Write this information down, and make sure to never underestimate an anomaly based on its object class".

Agent Sitwell on the side replied; "Yes sir, I'll make sure to update this information on the files we have on the SCP Foundation". He quickly got up and went into his office, then took out a device to contact Alexander Pierce.

"Sir, I have new information on the SCP foundation. I'll send it to your email". He quickly hung up and sent the information he gained to his real boss, Alexander Pierce, along with two words. "Hail Hydra"!

...…

On the light curtain, the dimmed screen finally lit up, signalling the start of a new inventory.

"It's a new Special Containment Inventory... again"! Nick Fury let out a sigh and turned his focus on the light curtain.
