Marvel: I Started by Containing SCPs

Chapter 240: Chapter 240

"You bastard!"

Zoro roared in fury as he saw his beloved swords snatched away. Instantly, he drew Ashura and appeared before Kid, pressing the blade against Kid's throat.

Kid's expression shifted to one of shock.

"Why isn't this sword affected by my magnetism?"

He glanced at Robin's sword as well, realizing it was also immune to his powers.

"As expected, the rumors are true. You can control magnetism and manipulate all metals,"

Robin commented, observing Kid's abilities.

"Of course you can't control my sword—it's forged from my soul,"

Zoro said with a cold smirk. He wasn't bluffing. A Zanpakuto was shaped by its wielder's soul, fundamentally different from ordinary metal and therefore resistant to Kid's magnetism.

"Let go of our captain!"

Killer shouted, spinning the blades strapped to his arms as he stepped forward with the rest of Kid's crew.

"You barge onto our ship and have the nerve to make demands!"

Zoro barked angrily.

"Exactly! Get off immediately, or don't blame us for being rude! My 8,000 subordinates won't let you off!"

Usopp shouted, aiming his slingshot at the intruders.

"So many people?!"

Bepo exclaimed in shock, looking around in disbelief.

"Idiot, he's lying,"

Law sighed, shaking his head at Bepo's gullibility. He looked at the tense standoff and let out a weary sigh, glancing at Kid. He regretted teaming up with this hothead.

"Everyone, calm down! You said earlier that the wings below multiply with sound. If we fight here, we'll just make things worse,"

Law reminded everyone, trying to diffuse the tension.

"We've all come so far and worked so hard to survive. Dying here as food for feathers isn't what anyone wants, right?"

His words resonated, as none of them wanted such a pathetic end.

"Tell your men to back off and stop your ability!"

Zoro demanded, glaring at Kid.

"You back off first, then I'll stop!"

Kid retorted angrily, hating being ordered around.

"You don't get to decide. I could kill you in an instant!"

Zoro's blade pressed harder against Kid's throat, drawing blood.

Kid's eyes burned with killing intent, and he considered attacking.

"Kid! Calm down!"

Killer intervened, shouting to stop him.

"Now's not the time for unnecessary fighting! We need more information to get out of here!"

Though annoyed, Kid relented at Killer's urging, deactivating his ability. The floating metal fell to the deck with a clatter.

"Chopper, grab my swords,"

Zoro ordered, unwilling to risk bending down and giving Kid a chance to retaliate.

Chopper quickly gathered Zoro's swords and brought them back.

"Hey, a walking, talking reindeer,"

Bepo remarked, amazed at Chopper.

"And you're a walking, talking bear!"

Chopper retorted, indignant at the irony.

Returning to his crew, Zoro focused back on the matter at hand.

"Let's deal with the problem first: those wings. If we don't solve this, we can't even talk properly,"

Law said, glancing at the Thousand-Winged Angel. The sight of its pristine feathers brought back unsettling memories, which he quickly suppressed.

"You mentioned containment earlier. Are you planning to lock that thing up?"

Law asked.

"Yes, but approaching it makes noise, and the feathers will consume us unless we're completely silent,"

Zoro explained, remaining wary of their uninvited guests.

"That's not too difficult,"

Law replied confidently.

"With my ability, I can silently transfer it into a cage. But I need Eustass to create a soundproof iron box first. That shouldn't be a problem for you, right?"

He turned to Kid.

"Hmph, who do you think I am? Of course, it's no problem,"

Kid sneered, his confidence in his abilities evident.

"Good. We'll help you contain it, but in return, you need to share everything you know about this island,"

Law demanded, his sharp gaze fixed on Zoro and the others.

"Are we really going to let them help?"

Usopp whispered nervously to his crew.

"They don't seem trustworthy. If they handle containment, they'll get the reward, and they might turn on us later!"

Everyone shared Usopp's concerns but hesitated to decide.

"It's fine. Let them help,"

Luffy said as he woke up, understanding the situation and agreeing to let Law and Kid assist.

"Luffy, this is reckless!"

Usopp exclaimed in protest.

"Don't worry. As much as I hate to admit it, we probably can't contain the Thousand-Winged Angel on our own. If they can do it, let them. And if anything goes wrong, I'll protect everyone,"

Luffy assured with his usual bright smile.

Reluctantly, the crew agreed, trusting their captain's judgment.

"Fine, but if you try anything against us, we won't let it slide!"

Zoro warned, glaring at Law and Kid.

"You'd better not pull anything either,"

Law retorted, more focused on dealing with the threat below.

"Hey, lend me your metal,"

Kid said, addressing the Straw Hats.

"Is that how you ask for help?"

Franky muttered irritably, but he brought out a pile of metal from the ship's storage. These were repair materials for the Sunny.

Kid wasted no time, using his powers to reshape the metal into a large, soundproof iron box.

"Robin, could you give me and Kid a lift?"

Law asked politely, glancing at Robin.
