Marvel : I'm in Westview Town

Chapter 5: Chapter 5 : Agatha is Here

Westview Town

A diner in Food Street.

Finn was sitting by the window eating a hearty steak, looking up from the window from time to time.

Even though the autumn cold had made the glass covered with a layer of frost, it did not prevent him from enjoying the sunset.

The sky was slightly bright and red, and the setting sun was gradually setting.

Not far from the lake in Park, the rippling lake surface under the setting sun reflected crystal clear.

Facing the evening breeze, passing passengers enjoyed the short-term comfort after getting off work.

"It's no wonder Vision chose to settle here."

In the past few months, Finn had seen this scene countless times.

After experiencing the afterglow of the sunset through three seasons, different weather and seasons gave people different feelings.

Maybe next year would be boring.

Just as he was watching, a hand patted him on the shoulder.

"Hey, Finn, thank you for the rental."

It was Josh.

Finn turned his head to look, and the woman behind this guy caught his attention.

She was a young woman with a kind face, giving the impression of being a good neighbor.

But looking carefully at the turbidity of the vicissitudes of life in her eyes, it was also creepy and weird.

The woman was none other than Agatha Harkness!

One of the oldest witches on Earth today and one of the strongest!

From the Middle Ages to modern times, she had used different identities to travel around the world to absorb black magic, even taking the lives of countless people, just to obtain more black magic to improve her own strength.

"Oh, I forgot to introduce her. She's my Aunt Agnes," Josh noticed his landlord's gaze and immediately patted his head, stepping aside and smiling.

"Hello, I'm Finn," Finn replied.

Finn just took a glance and looked away, with a smile on the corner of his mouth.

"I heard Josh mention you on the way. I thought you were from somewhere exotic, maybe someone like Jack," Agatha said casually.

Agatha didn't notice the difference in Finn's reaction, and they exchanged a few words briefly.

After a while, Josh took her away. The two of them were passing by to say hello and buy some dinner to go back. It seemed that Agatha was planning to try some new dishes.

"Old witch, is planning something," Finn muttered under his breath as he watched the two walk away, sneering to himself.

But he had to admit, Agatha's hidden abilities were terrifying. She was truly worthy of being called an ancient witch who had lived for hundreds of years, quietly becoming Josh's unnecessary aunt—and without leaving any flaws.

It was no wonder that in the series, even Scarlet Witch Wanda didn't notice anything. Agatha had been lurking right by her side, hiding her true nature until the very end.

When Agatha finally revealed her identity, it was already too late for Wanda to do anything. Everything had been meticulously planned by Agatha from the very beginning...

"Poor Josh. He's about to become a victim of the Witch War."

Finn shook his head.

In the Marvel universe, the lives of ordinary people were the least valuable.

A single battle could kill countless soldiers, not to mention unarmed civilians.

The Streets of Westview

Leaving the diner, Finn walked out into the evening wind. Gusts of gentle air brushed against his face.

"Wanda?"

Not long after Finn stepped outside, he caught sight of a familiar figure amidst the crowd of couples.

Amid the hustle and bustle, Wanda stood alone in the cold evening wind, her expression dazed and her body language distant, as if she had lost her soul.

She let the passing crowd push and jostle her, unresponsive and unmoving.

"She's emotionally unstable," Finn murmured to himself.

He could feel the Chaos Magic within her growing increasingly chaotic.

In the "WandaVision" series, Wanda's emotional instability was one of the main reasons for her actions.

The power of Chaos Magic had always been associated with evil and destruction, amplifying Wanda's grief and making her a ticking time bomb.

This was why Agatha Harkness had tried to strip Wanda of her magic—because Chaos Magic perfectly aligned with the Book of the Damned.

Finn walked over to her and feigned surprise. "Wanda, you're not heading home? The nightlife in Westview is like most places in America—not very safe."

Indeed, Westview was no exception to the dangers of American streets at night.

With plenty of tourists and a decent-sized area, local thugs often took advantage of the darkness to commit crimes like robberies and assaults.

"I just came back from somewhere and was about to head home," Wanda replied quietly, quickly wiping away the tears at the corners of her eyes.

"Perfect timing. Let's walk back together," Finn offered, fully aware of Wanda's fragile emotional state.

Wanda glanced at the setting sun and nodded. "Okay."

As they began walking, Finn kept up the conversation. "You know, walking with you is probably the safer option. This town's not as peaceful as it looks."

Wanda raised an eyebrow. "And you're afraid? You're a man, after all."

Finn chuckled. "You're an Avenger. If anyone should be afraid, it's the people who try to mess with you."

But Wanda's expression grew darker. "Being an Avenger… didn't bring me anything good. In the end, I still lost everything."

Her voice carried a heavy sadness. Family, friends, love—everything she cared about had been stripped away from her.

"No. Someday, you'll find the good in something," Finn replied softly.

"The good…" Wanda repeated, her voice trailing off as her thoughts spiraled deeper into despair.

---

As they walked, the lights around them grew dim. The apartment complex they lived in was situated on a quieter street, far from the town's main attractions.

Suddenly, the sound of shouting erupted from a nearby alley.

"Hand over all your valuables! Don't make me repeat myself!"

The sharp voice was followed by the sound of someone falling to the ground, groaning in pain.

"Looks like walking with you was the right call," Finn remarked with a smirk, glancing at Wanda. "These robbers really picked the wrong night to cause trouble."
