Marvel : Super Extraction

Chapter 4: Testing

Leon had always marveled at how ants, tiny but mighty, could lift over 400 times their weight. Studies even showed that a group of ants could haul objects weighing thousands of times more than themselves. Their secret? Leg muscles that worked like countless miniature engines, turning every joule of energy into raw power.

Now, thanks to his new "ant gene" upgrade, Leon Stark could, in theory, lift objects four hundred times his weight. But let's be real humans aren't ants. Even though his body was buzzing with newfound power, Leon wasn't entirely sure how to harness it without turning himself or his surroundings into a disaster zone.

"Time to put these muscles to the test," he muttered, a mix of determination and nervous excitement in his eyes.

He knew that with this sudden surge of strength, one miscalculation could mean disaster. His body had to learn to handle this explosive power or it might just tear him apart.

Without hesitation, Leon shredded his tailored clothes. Within minutes, sporting nothing but sports shorts and a vest, he stormed into the villa's gym.

Inside, dumbbells of every weight lined the floor. Most people might start with a 10 or 20 kg set, but Leon was itching to push his limits. He grabbed a 30kg dumbbell first, and with a casual flick of his wrist, hoisted it as if it were a feather.

{T/S - 10 kg = 22lbs}

"Not bad… not bad at all," he grinned, adrenaline fueling his every move. Bolstered by his success, he moved on to heavier weights. A 40 kg dumbbell? Child's play. Even a 50 kg one was no match for his surge of power.

Then he reached the 150 kilogram dumbbells, the very ones that were placed for decoration and couldn't be even lifted by any normal human let alone do a bicep curl, Leon lifted the 150s effortlessly and started doing a curl in a very controlled manner. Each rep made his muscles pulse with raw energy.

Between sets, memories of tomorrow's weapons demonstration in Afghanistan crept into his thoughts. If he didn't step up, Tony would freeze his bank accounts faster than you could say. Hundreds of millions were at stake, not to mention he can't let his only family member in this world die due to some bullshit butterfly effect.

Sweat dripped, determination burned, and with each lift, Leon's body adapted to the overwhelming strength surging through him. Despite the raw, unrefined nature of his power still waiting to be fully tamed he could already feel the potential.

After hours of grueling training and learning to control his newfound strength without turning his clothes into shreds, Leon finally settled into a more composed state. His body still buzzed with raw power, but now he could focus on something that had been nagging at him all day, the mysterious voice in his head.

Curious, he asked in his mind 'Hey! Can you hear me?'

[Yes. Host, I can hear you.] replied the mechanical voice.

'So you're not the one who brought me into this world?' Leon asked.

The voice clarified, [I did not bring you here, host. I was already attached to you the moment you arrived here.]

Leon exhaled slowly. 'Alright, fine. It must be some higher power at work. Since you're attached to me, help me out. What exactly is this extraction ability?'

[Host, I primarily help you extract genes from other organisms] the voice explained.

Leon grimaced at the memory. 'But how does it work? I don't want to be forced into swallowing every creature I see. I mean, I got this power by, well, gobbling up an ant but that's just gross.'

[You don't need to consume them every time. You can kill or capture a creature, and I will extract its gene for you.] the voice replied.

Leon's tone turned skeptical. 'Then why did I feel that uncontrollable urge to chow down on that ant?'

[That is because I require bio-energy to awaken. I compelled you to ingest the ant so that I could tap into its energy,] the voice said matter of factly.

Leon groaned, rubbing his temples. 'Seriously, next time give me a heads-up. I'm not eager to have another freakish meal forced upon me.'

[Understood, host.] the voice assured.

Leon's curiosity wasn't finished yet. 'So, I want to extract more genes from other creatures. Got any suggestions?'

[Currently, you have enhanced strength, but your speed is lacking. I recommend you focus on genes that boost your speed. You might also consider defensive or regeneration genes. However, note that extracting any gene requires bio-energy. At the moment, your bio-energy levels are insufficient to support another extraction and fusion.]

Leon's eyes narrowed. "Insufficient bio-energy? How do I get more of that?"

[Killing other creatures, the higher the level of the biological individual, the stronger the strength, higher the bio-energy that can be obtained.] the system replied.
