Marvel : Super Soldier at the Start

Chapter 227: Fate

The system had previously told Blake that to fuse with the Soul Stone, he must first merge with the Mind Stone. A strong mind would allow the upper limit of his soul's strength to increase.

Previously, whether it was the Space, Power, or Reality Stones, they primarily corresponded to Blake's physical strength. Plus, when he first arrived in this world, he had enhanced his body accordingly, making the absorption process relatively smooth. However, now that he had reached the realm of mind and soul, this was the first time he was undergoing such an intense transformation—naturally, the process was unbearably painful.

Despite the pain, the fusion didn't take too long due to the foundation of the other Infinity Stones. In just about half an hour, the glow in the secret chamber gradually faded.

Blake, floating mid-air, suddenly opened his eyes. His gaze was unfocused, lifeless, devoid of emotion.

Then, as if a singularity had exploded within his pupils, a cosmic explosion unfolded. In an instant, the vastness of the universe and countless stars flickered within his eyes before vanishing.

In the next moment, Blake slowly closed his eyes again.

The five Infinity Stones had fully merged with him.

The blue Space Stone had transformed into countless tiny black holes, settling within his body's numerous acupoints. With a mere thought, these black holes could draw infinite energy from the cosmos into his body.

The red Reality Stone fused into every inch of his being—his skin, organs, and bones—making his body as resilient and unyielding as the stone itself, impervious to known forces. It also allowed him to withstand and amplify energy output to an unlimited extent.

The purple Power Stone became part of his muscles and some of his bones, granting him unimaginable physical strength. If he wished, he could now unleash energy at a planetary scale using just his body.

The yellow Mind Stone integrated with his mental power, gifting him immense telekinetic and psychic abilities—lifting a mountain with sheer will? Easily within his grasp.

The orange Soul Stone, unsurprisingly, strengthened his very soul. It deepened his connection to the universe, vastly improving his computational and comprehension abilities—essentially upgrading his mind's processing power without limits.

Like perfectly assembled components, the five Infinity Stones had built Blake into a superhuman existence. Though he had yet to acquire the Time Stone, with his current power, he could already be considered a true god within the known universe.

Feeling the immense strength coursing through him, Blake slowly opened his eyes once more.

The flickering cosmos in his gaze faded, and his eyes returned to those of a normal human.

With a mere thought—without any extra movement or energy fluctuations—Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch appeared before him out of thin air.

A mental shockwave directly struck their minds, waking them from their sleep. Before they could react, Blake extended his hands, pressing both index fingers onto their foreheads.

A vast amount of information flowed from Blake's fingers into their minds—the truth about Stark Industries' secret arms deals, the fates that originally awaited them in the timeline, and much more.

But what entered their bodies wasn't just knowledge.

A surge of Mind Stone energy followed, yet unlike a forceful transformation, Blake's controlled energy was as gentle as a spring breeze. It effortlessly tamed the unstable power within the twins, bringing it completely under their control.

As for how long it would take them to fully develop their abilities and reach their so-called ultimate forms? That would depend on their own efforts.

"You… what kind of magic did you use? Don't tell me all of this is truly going to happen?"

Scarlet Witch was the first to speak, questioning Blake as she processed the overwhelming information, momentarily ignoring the changes within her own energy.

In the original story, Quicksilver didn't last long after his introduction—he died early on. Scarlet Witch, on the other hand, experienced far more than he did.

The visions Blake transmitted weren't just a fleeting slideshow. While they weren't the same as truly living through them, they allowed her to experience everything firsthand through a first-person perspective.

By comparison, Quicksilver was merely an observer, watching everything that unfolded after his death.

This was why Scarlet Witch appeared far more emotional than Quicksilver at this moment.

"You should understand, Wanda—in this universe, the only one who can deceive you is yourself."

Blake lowered his mental defenses completely, exposing his mind to Wanda without reservation.

"Feel for yourself. Have I deceived you?"

His gaze was sincere as he looked at the twins.

It was clear that Scarlet Witch was the leader between the two. After digesting the flood of new information in his mind, Quicksilver simply glanced at her before instinctively stepping in front of her, partially shielding her from Blake.

Scarlet Witch didn't fully invade Blake's memories. Instead, she extended her energy to link with his mind, trying to sense whether he was lying as he spoke.

"Tell me now—was everything you just showed me real?"

Her voice, imbued with magic, echoed directly in Blake's mind. Naturally, with his current strength, he could easily resist, but he didn't. Instead, he cooperated fully, allowing his mental fluctuations to be laid bare before her.

"Everything is real. These are events that were originally meant to happen. But my arrival has disrupted the timeline. My ultimate goal is to break this so-called 'fate' and bring true freedom!"

Blake spoke with unwavering conviction, his expression carrying a hint of sacredness, almost like a prophet delivering a divine sermon.

But deep down, he knew he meant every word.

If everything in this world was just a pre-written script, then the system and his own arrival here were unlikely to be mere coincidences. This was his true belief—to break free from it all and obtain real freedom.

Otherwise, even with his near-godlike power in this universe, he would always have an invisible sword hanging over his head, ready to fall at any moment.

His open mind was proof enough. There was no need for further explanation—Scarlet Witch's expression gradually softened.

As twins who had grown up together, Quicksilver could sense her change. The trembling in his right hand slowly subsided as Scarlet Witch calmed down.

"Our goals align—we both seek to break free from something."

Blake raised a finger, pointing upward.

"Your true enemy was never Stark. Not even Obadiah Stane, the man secretly selling weapons to terrorists. The real enemy is someone hidden in the shadows, watching all of this unfold… perhaps even orchestrating everything from behind the scenes."
