MARVEL: THE MULTIVERSAL TRADER

Chapter 7: FIRST TRADE

After reviewing his, personal life and financial incidents, Nova took a deep breath. It's time for the thing that will change his life.

He summoned his system interface, and a sleek, holographic screen materialized before him.

As Nova tapped the "Search for Customer" tab, the screen flickered, processing his request. A soft hum filled the air, followed by a small notification blinking into existence.

[Searching for Trade Partner…]

[Filtering Compatible Matches…]

Seconds passed. Then—

[Trade Partner Found!]

The screen buzzed sharply, the glow intensifying before stabilizing. A new message appeared:

[Establishing Connection… DONE]

[DING! EXTERNAL SURVEILLANCE DETECTED ON THE TRADE PARTNER]

[AS PER RULES, SURVEILLANCE IS TEMPORARILY FROZEN FOR TRADE TIME PERIOD]

As Nova's trade interface flickered, stabilizing to reveal his first-ever customer, his breath caught in his throat. The image before him was unmistakable—messy black hair, round glasses, and piercing green eyes. Harry Potter.

For a moment, Nova just stared, his mind racing. He had read about this world, watched its stories unfold, but now, sitting before him, was the real thing. However, Harry didn't resemble the wide-eyed boy from the early years. His face was sharper, older, and weighed down by something heavier than time itself. His eyes, once filled with youthful curiosity, now held a wariness, a guarded edge that spoke of pain, loss, and deep distrust.

Then, without hesitation, Nova activated one of his newly acquired abilities.

----

[SKILL: EYE OF APPRAISAL—ACTIVATED]

A subtle shimmer passed over Harry's image as the ability took effect, and in an instant, a flood of information filled Nova's mind.

[Target: Harry James Potter]

Physical Status: Malnourished. Lingering injuries (fractured ribs healed improperly, past concussions, chronic malnutrition effects). Physical endurance higher than expected despite mistreatment.

Magical Core: Extremely powerful but heavily restricted. Latent potential far surpasses current usage. Scar tissue interference detected—foreign magical presence suppressing growth.

Mental State: Severe stress. Chronic nightmares. Deep-seated paranoia due to repeated betrayals and dangers. Extreme mental fortitude despite suffering.

Potential: [S-Class] Capable of becoming a high-tier magical force, possibly beyond known wizarding limits if properly nurtured. Unlocked bloodline traits remain dormant.

Hidden Traits: ??? (Restricted due to interference).

----

Nova's eyes widened slightly. This kid… he's carrying so much, yet he's still standing?

It was worse than he thought. The books and stories never captured the full extent of what Harry had been through. Malnutrition? Fractured ribs that hadn't healed right? And then there was the magical core—crippled by something foreign. The interference wasn't natural; it was an external force, suppressing Harry's growth.

His gaze flicked toward the hidden traits section. Restricted? That wasn't normal. Something—or someone—was actively preventing Harry from unlocking his full potential. The foreign presence, the suppression, and the cursed scar… It all clicked into place.

Voldemort's Horcrux.

Nova exhaled slowly, his mind churning. If left alone, Harry would never reach his full power—not unless the interference was removed. And considering what the Eye of Appraisal had revealed about his potential, that was a huge waste.

His fingers tapped against the interface. This changed things.

For Harry, this was just another bizarre moment in an already chaotic life. But for Nova, this was an opportunity—no, a responsibility. If he played this right, he could set Harry on a path where he wasn't just another pawn in someone else's game. Afterall Harry Potter was his childhood, the every thing that shaped his love for all fantasy and sci-fi genre.

Nova barely had time to process it before he noticed Harry's expression shift—his eyes widened, his body tensed. On the other side, Harry was staring straight ahead, confusion written all over his face. His lips parted slightly, then pressed into a firm line. He looked around, as if expecting someone to jump out from the shadows, then turned his gaze back to the screen, suspicion flickering behind his glasses.

------

Harry Potter was no ordinary wizard. At just eleven, he had entered Hogwarts and soon became famous for defeating a fully grown mountain troll and stopping Professor Quirrell, who had been possessed by Voldemort. His second year saw him descend into the Chamber of Secrets, where he battled a basilisk and destroyed Tom Riddle's diary, unknowingly eliminating a Horcrux. In his third year, he learned the truth about his godfather, Sirius Black, and mastered the Patronus Charm to fend off Dementors.

Fourth year, however, had changed everything. Entering the Triwizard Tournament against his will, Harry faced dragons, mermaids, and an enchanted maze—only for the competition to end in horror. He and Cedric Diggory had been transported to a graveyard, where Lord Voldemort was resurrected using Harry's blood. Cedric was murdered before his eyes, and Harry barely escaped with his life.

Now, back with his relatives at Privet Drive, Harry found himself trapped, isolated from the wizarding world under tender mercies of his relatives. The Ministry of Magic refused to acknowledge Voldemort's return, and his friends sent only vague letters, giving him no real information. He was left in the dark, alone with his thoughts and the nightmares that refused to let him rest.

Then, just as another restless night settled in, something impossible happened.

Harry jolted back, his heart pounding as a glowing screen materialized in front of him out of nowhere. He barely had time to react before it stabilized, hovering eerily in the dim light of his bedroom. His first instinct was to grab his wand, but his hands found nothing—he had left it in his trunk. His breathing was unsteady as he took a hesitant step closer. The screen remained still, its strange text illuminated in an unnatural glow.

"A Trade Opportunity Awaits You. Do You Wish to Engage?"

His breath hitched. A trade opportunity? What was this? Some kind of enchanted letter? But there was no parchment, no owl, no usual signs of wizarding magic. His mind raced. Could this be the Ministry? They were already watching him, treating him like a criminal. Maybe this was another ridiculous test.

But then a far darker possibility crept in.

What if this was Voldemort? A new trick? Another trap? His last encounter with something unexpected had ended in Cedric's death, his own blood stolen to bring the Dark Lord back. His fingers clenched into fists, his whole body tense, waiting for pain, for whispers, for some sign that this was another cruel game.

Yet… nothing happened. No searing scar, no shadows creeping from the corners of the room. Just the screen, waiting. Silent. Expectant.

Harry swallowed hard. Cautiously, he reached out…

-----

Harry hesitated, his fingers hovering just above the glowing screen. Every instinct screamed at him to be cautious, to pull away—but something about this was different. It wasn't wizard magic, at least not any he had seen before. There were no incantations, no wand movements, no familiar traces of spells. It was something else entirely.

Taking a slow breath, he forced himself to think logically. If this was Voldemort, there would have been pain. If it was the Ministry, they wouldn't be subtle. And if it was Dumbledore… well, the old man preferred secrecy and cryptic messages, not glowing trade interfaces appearing in bedrooms.

His hand clenched for a moment before he exhaled and pressed his fingertip to the floating "Yes" option.

The moment he did, the screen shifted.

---

[TRADE INTERFACE ESTABLISHED]

[CONNECTING TO TRADER....

IDENTITY CONFIRMED: "NOVA" ( Tier-0 Trader)

Harry's eyes narrowed. That name meant nothing to him. The screen flickered again, and suddenly, the image of a person appeared before him.

Nova.

Harry's breath hitched. The young man staring at him wasn't someone he recognized. He had short, dark hair, sharp eyes that gleamed with intelligence, and a face that was unreadable. He looked human, but something about him felt… different. Not quite wizard, not quite Muggle.

For a long moment, neither spoke.

Then Nova smiled slightly, leaning forward.

"Well," he said, his voice calm but edged with something unreadable. "This is unexpected."

Harry's grip tightened at his sides. "Who are you? What is this?"

Nova tilted his head slightly, studying him. "That's a complicated question. But let's start with the simple part: this is a trade system. And I—" he gestured to himself with an easy shrug "—am a trader."

Harry's eyes narrowed. "A trader of what?"

"Whatever you want. I can give answer to your ever question. I can bring you physical items that related to you or those unowned items that are long buried in the history. But remember, I am tier-0 trader and you are my first customer. So I will give you a chance to make a wish for free, but remember it should be small, nothing too overpowered."
