"Orochimaru, did you do this?"

Jiraiya frowned slightly, stared at Orochimaru for a while, and then spoke in a low voice, "You shouldn't do this, especially for the position of Hokage..."

"You think highly of me, don't you? Do you think I could figure out what Sarutobi sensei did?" Orochimaru chuckled, continuing, "Whether I did it or Sarutobi-sensei did it, which one do you think is more excessive? Jiraiya, from what angle are you judging me? Forget it. Maybe you'd be better off leaving the village and going after Destiny's Child."

Jiraiya responded in a deep voice, "I will not watch you destroy the village, Orochimaru. You've changed."

"Destroy the village? I protected hundreds of ninjas during the Sand Shinobi Village attack. Was it you, or Mount Myōboku, who did that?" Orochimaru snapped.

He suddenly realized he had said too much. Jiraiya had been an unreasonable fool for a long time.

 While they trusted each other on the battlefield as teammates, their ideas and personalities were too different. That was only natural.

Even without the position of Hokage, Orochimaru couldn't understand why Jiraiya pinned all his hopes on an illusory "child of destiny." 

While Jiraiya evaded responsibility, Orochimaru wanted to learn the truth and control the laws of everything for himself.

"That's enough for today. Anbu, leave. Wait for Sarutobi sensei to handle this," Orochimaru instructed, addressing the Anbu ninja. 

His words directly suggested that Anbu's actions were personal and not official. If Anbu withdrew now, the matter would certainly spread.

The Anbu captain took half a step forward, starting to speak. "Orochimaru-sama, we—"

But his words were cut off as Orochimaru's intense gaze silenced him. Within seconds, beads of sweat formed under the mask of the Anbu member who was caught in Orochimaru's glare.

"Enough, you can go back now."

Jiraiya raised his voice and stepped in front of the Anbu, interrupting the pressure Orochimaru was exerting.

 Orochimaru's technique, a combination of chakra and illusion, surprised Jiraiya slightly—there seemed to be some natural energy mixed in?

"Yes, Jiraiya-sama," the captain said, visibly relieved. After a brief sigh of relief, he turned and led the other Anbu away.

Once the Anbu had departed, Orochimaru lost interest in further conversation with Jiraiya. He turned and left.

Meanwhile, Uchiha Aoki, standing off to the side, instructed the members of the security team to keep an eye on the area and ensure that the clan's patrolling members were aware of what was happening. 

He then left as usual.

When most of the group had dispersed, Namikaze Minato approached Jiraiya and asked, " Jiraiya sensei?"

"I'm fine, Minato. I just didn't expect Orochimaru to have changed so much. Let's go back. Konoha may soon be facing a change," Jiraiya replied. 

Earlier in the day, under the guidance of Sarutobi Hiruzen, they had visited the Ino–Shika–Cho clan to discuss various matters. This unexpected event had spread throughout the village in just one day.

Jiraiya turned to Minato and said, "Go see Nara clan leader . He probably already knows about this. Maybe he can figure out a way to handle it. I'll go see Sarutobi sensei."

No one disturbed them during their morning discussions, so they didn't know about it at all. They only found out after Jiraiya and Namikaze Minato left the Nara clan.

"I see, Jiraiya sensei," Minato said.

After finishing his sentence, Minato immediately rushed to the Nara clan, while Jiraiya headed to the Hokage building to inquire about the situation.

Things escalated even faster than Sarutobi Hiruzen had anticipated, and soon, his actions as Hokage were well known throughout the Land of Fire.

 After reading the news in Ninja Weekly, the Fire Country Daimyo became furious. He took ten guardian ninjas and several ministers with him and rushed directly to Konoha Village.

If it were any other time, the Daimyo of the Land of Fire would have likely sent an envoy to inquire about the situation. 

The Daimyo might have been angry, but he wouldn't have turned against Sarutobi Hiruzen over this. However, this time was different. 

The Daimyo was heavily influenced by black magic, and Kain had used Apparition to travel to the capital of the Land of Fire, subtly influencing him at close range.

Before the Daimyo's convoy could even arrive, an envoy had already rushed ahead to Konoha.

"I didn't expect the Third Hokage to do such a thing! Bah! I thought he was a good man who cared about the village, but he gave so many benefits to the Sand Shinobi Village!" Kushina said angrily, tossing the newspaper aside.

"You can't do anything by getting angry, Kushina. After all, he's the Hokage," Uchiha Mikoto comforted her. 

Since Uchiha Fugaku had left the village, Uchiha Itachi had been practicing all day, and Mikoto had been home alone, so she had to follow Fugaku's advice and build a better relationship with Kushina.

Mikoto, however, found Kushina to be a happy and innocent woman, someone who was easy to talk to.
