Mech: Shattering of the Galaxy

Chapter 139 Battle Flag Like a Dragon!

(Congratulations to the new helmsman "Zhou Gong Entering Dreams"!)

The engine flames at the rear of the Ripper grew explosively in an instant.

From still to motion, in less than a second, the mecha shot out like the wind.

As it dashed past the entrance, the Federation Expeditionary Army's flag was snatched by the mecha in passing.

The metal flagpole, slightly taller than the wall, was about five meters long.

The snapping flag curled around the tip of the pole.

What is he planning to do with the flag?

People boarding the ship were horrified to see the base's flag being carried away by that mecha.

"Mu Fan...he!"

"We will wait!"

Lin Hao stated with resolute conviction.

The heir to Thunderbolt Fighting God, the designated successor to Thunderhawk!

Mu Fan, no matter how you do it this time, as long as you can guide the Nova Nuclear Bomb, I, Lin Hao, will definitely retrieve the Centurion Medal for you.

"Heavy Hammer Tanks, cannon overload mode, free fire!"

Boom!

Boom!

When Mu Fan burst out of the base, there were still thirteen mechas left, and the one driven by Luo Jianjin was still fighting, but the defense perimeter had already been compressed to a fifty-meter radius outside the base.

The Plasma Shock Cannon—each cannon shot cleared a sizable space upon impact.

But what use was this to these warriors?

The bugs seemed endless and almost utterly fearless of death as they charged toward the base.

Just after Luo Jianjin cleared an area of Zeg, he saw a light green mecha suddenly dash past him.

The Ripper?

A Reconnaissance Mecha?

Was this a suicide mission?

What was the plan using a Reconnaissance Mecha to charge in?

Luo Jianjin watched the speeding figure and let out a furious roar, yet he still directed fire to suppress the area in front of and to the sides of that figure, clearing the path for him.

"Who is driving that Ripper? Major Lin!"

"Mu Fan."

"Mu Fan? How could you let a student out?"

"He's going to guide the Nova Bomb again!"

"...Tracy."

Muttering a name with a bearded scowl, he suddenly shifted his gaze to where Tracy had been earlier.

The mecha that had shielded Tracy took a direct hit from a plasma ball that suddenly charged in, piercing through its cockpit.

It crashed to the ground with a boom.

Now Tracy's silhouette flickered in and out of visibility; her cloaking device had been damaged by the barrage from the Cliff Worms.

Now, that nearly negligible figure rolled up from the ground and with her sniper rifle, continued to take precise shots.

Even though she knew she was probably abandoned, there was only calmness on Tracy's face.

The finest sniper, stepping into the battlefield, must maintain an absolute state of cool composure.

As a woman who surpassed all others in sniping to become a gold medalist and even a Nova agent, Tracy had long come to terms with life and death.

"I am Mu Fan. I will arrive in ten seconds. Please, stay alive until then."

A cool, emotionless voice came over Tracy's comms.

This sudden voice startled Tracy; she was sure her voice coms were on silent—how could she possibly hear Mu Fan?

The purpose of silencing her coms was that she didn't want to hear her teammates' sentimental babble before death.

Death was nothing new to her.

Yet Mu Fan's voice had indeed reached her.

"Mu Fan?!"

"Mu Fan?"

No reply.

The pounding of the cannons continued in her ears.

Fortunately, thanks to the intentional fire suppression by the other mechas, the Zeg hadn't yet broken through to Tracy's rear.

Her gaze was now entirely focused on the front; she didn't dwell on the lack of reply, dismissing the voice she'd heard.

But why did Mu Fan's last words make her want to cry?

"Please, stay alive until then..."

I'll live these ten seconds just to show you!

An exhilarated Tracy was unaware that, 300 meters behind her, the Ripper had turned into a green streak, charging into the area bombarded by artillery fire.

The sudden involvement of this mecha took the other Mechanical Masters by surprise.

They feared their own firepower might accidentally hit it.

But the next second, the action taken by that mecha made the pupils of their eyes go blank with astonishment.

"Full control of the power system."

"The energy supply for this mecha's self-destruct system has been rerouted to the engine. It's now in a 30-second engine overload mode, roughly boosting it to near 7th-generation engine standards," Black indicated readiness.

"Overload."

Mu Fan uttered the two words calmly.

Fingers danced across the control console like sprightly elves.

The right hand moved the coordination device backward with a sweep.

Thus, the Ripper mecha dashed into the artillery-covered area, beginning a miraculous, disorderly change of direction!

With four layers of Dark Breath loaded, Mu Fan once again repeated the Extreme Special Soldier's assault storm.

That green mecha silhouette leaped and blinked; every appearance was precisely where the artillery had just exploded.

The Heavy Hammer Tanks' free-shoot artillery fell almost at random.

But the Ripper piloted by Mu Fan, like a dancer on the blade's edge, gracefully hopped through the deadliest and most elegant steps within the artillery-cleared zone.

Landing in a crater just created by an explosion, the Ripper swung the metal flagpole in its hands heavily forward.

Several pouncing Tiger Worms were struck and splattered mid-air.

The mecha should have followed the inertia to move forward to the right, but instead, it suddenly appeared in the vacuum zone created by the explosion to the left-front.

The green afterimage flickered like a haunting specter.

From a high vantage point, the figure seemed to make an unceasing forward... charge!

The drivers within the Heavy Hammer Tanks had faces as if they'd seen a ghost; how could a mecha advance in such a defy-the-heavens manner?

"Push the firepower to the position of those six wrecked mechas, and remember not to accidentally harm Tracy!"

Major Lin's command resounded through the channel.

The Siege Tank's cannons immediately began to bloom irregularly in front of Mu Fan.

Mu Fan, seeing the intervals between the artillery's coverage stretching, knew his allies were providing cover.

"22 seconds remaining!"

Black reminded.

Mu Fan's expression remained undisturbed, spotting Tracy's figure in the distance, he said lightly, "I see her."

Without any mechas obstructing and despite Tracy firing without pause, the closest Tiger Worm had reached within fifteen meters.

Just as she raised her sniper rifle to aim at the pouncing Tiger Worm.

Suddenly an incredibly fast whooshing sound came through; she didn't even manage to look back before seeing something falling from the sky... a Federation battle flag?

The rolled-up flag unfurled once more, the five-meter-long flagpole impaled the Tiger Worm into the ground.

What was this!?

Tracy swiftly turned around.

Then, a dark shadow swept over her head.

Boom!

Feet touched down.

The light green mecha stood up slowly in front of Tracy and grasped the battle flag in hand, pulling it out, and positioning it by its side.

"I'm here."

Three simple words, Mu Fan's voice.

Tracy looked up at the not particularly tall mecha, and tears involuntarily slid down her cheeks.

She had heard his voice just moments before, truly it was Mu Fan talking to her.

"10 seconds before I reach you. Stay alive until then."

Those words had actually come true!

"Activate the laser guide for me."

Hmm?

Tracy's exceptional tactical training led her to press the guide immediately, and a red dot appeared.

"Beep, guidance initiated."

"19 seconds remaining," Black reminded again.

The Ripper picked up Tracy in one motion, and the escape hatch on its chest popped open.

"Stay here for a while."

Tracy gazed deeply at the Ripper, which looked quite formidable on the outside.

Mu Fan's voice at this moment was so calm it was almost unsettling.

But she obediently entered.

"16 seconds remaining."

The Ripper shook the flagpole in its hand; the Federation's military flag wrapped around the dripping sniper rifle on the ground, a rope snapping out to tightly bind the flag and rifle together.

Then the mecha's head lifted slightly, and through the battle screen Mu Fan's gaze locked onto the four moving Plasma Worms, the flagpole raised high and stretched back.

As the paths of the four Plasma Worms nearly intersected in a brief moment, Mu Fan's gaze sharpened.

The Ripper took three steps in one, hurling the military flag in its hand.

The flag transformed into a white lightning bolt—

Tearing through the night sky, the battle flag was like a dragon!
