Chapter 222: Chapter 220:- Fuyumi's Purpose

However Fuyumi was awake, as she followed behind Izuku without making sounds to see where Izuku was going.

As soon as Izuku reached a dead end wall, he turned around as he said "You can come out now Fuyumi, you know, do you really think not making noise would mean I can't sense your presence here." asked Izuku as Fuyumi, who was following him, silently came out.

"How did you know, it was me? I made sure not to make any noise." Asked Fuyumi

"You have been acting strange ever since we came back from the hospital, plus it seems like you forgot about the chip, I can always tell which of my girls are sleeping or pretending to sleep.

You tried acting to sleep, but your breathing wasn't of someone who is fast asleep." Said Izuku as he continued, "Now tell me, what's the reason you followed behind me like this rather than talking about what's on your mind right away." Asked Izuku.

Fuyumi stood in front of Izuku, her arms crossed and her eyes narrowed in frustration. She hadn't spoken to Izuku since they arrived.

Every time she tried to be part of the mission or help in the action, he would pull her back. Now, the anger had boiled over, and she couldn't hold it in anymore.

"Izuku, why are you treating me like I'm fragile? Why can't I help? You won't even let me fight! Why am I the only one that's left behind?

Why would you not take me on any missions like you take Maki and Momo, do you not trust me?" she snapped, her voice shaking with frustration. "I'm not talking to you if this keeps up."

Izuku sighed, knowing this moment was coming. "Fuyumi, it's not that I think you're weak. It's just... I don't want you to lose your innocence or pure heart because of the darkness of this world.

You are precious to me, you are someone who helped me when I was at my worst, and I want to make sure the darkness I have seen and dealt with stays far away from you.

And it's not just you, it's the same for Kaina and Rei as well. Kaina had dirtied her hands so much that she had all the rights to live a normal life now, that's the reason she doesn't join me in my battles anymore.

Your mother has gone through a lot already, she's tired of all the fights and everything, she needs normalness in her life, that's why she isn't allowed to fight as well.

You guys are non combatants and I want to make sure you stay that way, and the only reason I taught you to fight and use your quirk offensively was because I wanted to make sure no one can harm you.

The last thing I want is to see either of you battered or bruised."

Fuyumi glared at him. "I'm not a child, Izuku. I can handle it. You're just being overprotective, and if that's the case why are Maki and Momo allowed to accompany you, and not us, why not tell them to not join you as well."

"Maki and Momo are different things, Fuyumi, they accompany me because they can endure my methods. If I were to show my methods to you, you'd have PTSDs," said Izuku.

"Why are they different, is it because they became your women first? That's just an excuse, even I can handle the things you do

He turned to her, his eyes serious. "Alright. You want to prove it? Follow me."

Without waiting for a reply, Izuku placed his hand on the wall, and after his hand was scanned, a door opened beside his hand, as he led her into the next room.

The room was very spacious, however it was all dark and muffled groans could be heard everywhere. The sight that greeted her was enough to make her heart skip a beat.

The hostages they had captured in Kyoto and the attackers who attacked the girls while Izuku was in Kyoto, all of them were present in that room.

Those who had attacked Maki, Momo, and Kaina, were all in terrible shape. Their faces were swollen, limbs bent at unnatural angles, and their bodies bruised from the beating they had received.

"See these people?" Izuku said, his voice low and calm. "They attacked the girls while we were in Kyoto, and those are the ones we encountered in that facility when we rescued the people from there.

Now, I'm going to interrogate them. If you can make it through this without vomiting, without turning away, I'll let you come to I-Island with us, and not just that I'll take you on every mission I go."

Fuyumi straightened her posture, nodding firmly. "I can do it."

Izuku glanced at her, his face unreadable. "Alright. Let's begin."

He approached one of the prisoners, a man who had been beaten the worst. His arms were twisted, and his mouth was swollen, but he still managed to spit blood at Izuku's feet.

Izuku didn't flinch. Instead, he grabbed the man by the hair and pulled his head up. "Who's your contractor?" he asked, his voice cold.

The man glared at him, refusing to speak.

Izuku didn't hesitate. His fist came down hard, striking the man's already broken ribs. The sound of cracking bones echoed through the room.

Blood poured from the man's mouth as he groaned from pain, while his screams surrounded the room.

Fuyumi clenched her fists, forcing herself to watch, her stomach churning.

Izuku hit him again, harder this time, his hand now coated in blood. "Who hired you?" he asked again, his voice emotionless.

The man coughed, spitting more blood, but still said nothing.

Fuyumi's breath hitched as Izuku continued. He grabbed a knife and cut into the man's stomach, blood and guts spilling out onto the floor.

The smell of iron filled the air, and Fuyumi's vision swam. Her stomach twisted painfully, and she quickly turned around, unable to watch any longer.

She shut her eyes, trying to push the images out of her mind, but the sounds—the man's screams, the thuds of Izuku's punches, the splatter of blood—stayed with her.

She felt bile rise in her throat, and she pressed her hand over her mouth, fighting the urge to vomit.

Izuku's voice cut through her thoughts. "You couldn't even handle one person's torture, Fuyumi.

This is nothing, there's worse to come, this is just the warm up, the brutality hasn't even reached the Aldera incident yet."

She opened her eyes, breathing heavily, but she couldn't look at him.

"If I took you to I-Island, it would be far worse than this," Izuku said, his voice hard but not unkind. "What I'm going to do there will make what you saw here and till now look tame.

You would break, Fuyumi. And if you break like this… you'll end up having a miscarriage. I can't let that happen."

Fuyumi's heart clenched painfully at his words. She didn't want to believe him, but deep down, she knew he was right. She could barely handle watching one man suffer.

How would she handle what was to come? And she feared risking her child that's why she turned immediately not wanting to affect the pregnancy.

She turned to him, her voice weak. "I… I just wanted to help. I didn't want to feel useless."

Izuku's expression softened. "You're not useless, Fuyumi. You're important to me. But this isn't something you're ready for and I don't even need you to be ever ready for it. Do you think this doesn't take a toll on me?

Every day I see these things, I lose a bit of my humanity, I have urges to free this world of viruses called humans.

If there won't be someone like you, Rei and Kaina, who'll keep me in check and make sure I don't lose my humanity completely?

I could very well rid the world of humans right now, So get this you aren't useless, you Rei and Kaina need to make sure I don't lose my humanity completely."

She bit her lip, her frustration melting into guilt. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize how bad it would be. I just… I thought I could handle it, I just wanted to make sure I'm not left behind."

Izuku nodded. "I know. But this is what we're up against. If you can't watch one man's torture, how do you think you'd survive what's coming?

The brutality is both an act of revenge as well as a warning to others to stop doing these kinds of things, or else they'll also have the same fate."

Fuyumi closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. She knew he was right. If she couldn't handle this, there was no way she could handle I-Island. She placed a hand on her stomach, thinking of their child. The thought of losing the baby because of her pride sent a shiver through her.

She also understood her role, she needed to make sure Izuku didn't completely lose his way, she needed to act like a mother would, fill his life with love, making sure Izuku doesn't lose his way.

"I'm sorry," she whispered. "I don't want to lose the baby. The baby is more precious than some stupid mission, and I understand my role now. I just didn't want to feel useless, and also wanted to contribute to you in some way.

I just didn't want to get redundant, not offering anything other than sex on the table, or run the risk of you replacing me."

Izuku placed a hand on her shoulder, offering her a small smile. "What nonsense, you aren't some slut or whore that I would replace you with just because you aren't offering anything other than sex. I'm not that kind of person." Said Izuku.

"I'm sorry, I was in the wrong, but please tell me why you take Maki and Momo on missions with you," said Fuyumi with her head down.

"It's okay. I'm glad you understand. Maki's quirk is the best to immobilize someone, and she can show them their worst nightmares which helps render them useless and even help spill their beans faster.

While Momo can create anything at a moment's notice, which makes things easier and faster when it comes to dealing with enemies.

Other then that, they have already gone through hell, especially Maki who's just like me, while Momo watched her parents die in front of her eyes.

So even if I tell them not to, due to their sense of revenge, they will still come, not listening to me, they might even come behind my back, which could put them at a bigger risk, that's why I allow them.

And it's better to have them with me, where I can protect them, rather than behind my back, even if that'll stop after they're pregnant, so don't compare them with you, you all have different roles to fulfil." Izuku said.

Fuyumi nodded, however she didn't seem much convinced.

"I'll just show you rather than telling," said Izuku as he used his chip to call Maki over here.
