Chapter 5: Chapter 4: A Day of Disruptions
The morning at U.A. High began like any other, but the day took an unexpected turn as Class 1-A arrived to find a swarm of reporters crowding the school gates. Cameras flashed, microphones jutted forward, and reporters shouted over one another.
"All Might is teaching here now! Can you tell us what he's like?"
"Do you feel safer knowing the Number One Hero is your teacher?"
Kenji Saito hung back, watching the commotion unfold. Beside him, Momo Yaoyorozu frowned.
"This is hardly professional," she muttered, her tone disapproving.
"It's chaos," Kenji agreed, adjusting his bag strap. "I didn't think hero schools would attract this much attention."
As the students made their way inside, the reporters' shouts grew louder. Some had even begun shaking the gates in frustration. It was clear they were desperate for answers—and for access to U.A.
Class President Elections
Once inside, the noise from the gates was muffled, and Class 1-A settled into their seats. Aizawa, looking as tired as ever, addressed the class.
"Before we begin today's lesson, we need to decide on a class president and vice president."
Excitement rippled through the room. The position of class president was no small role—it carried responsibility and prestige.
"I volunteer!" Iida declared, standing with impeccable posture.
"Same here!" Mina Ashido chimed in, flashing a confident grin.
Other students began voicing their interest as well, but Momo remained composed. Kenji noticed her hesitance and leaned over.
"You'd make a great president," he said.
She looked surprised. "Me?"
"You're organized, level-headed, and already a natural leader," Kenji added.
Momo considered this but remained quiet as the voting began. Each student wrote down their choice, and the results were tallied.
When Aizawa read the outcome, the class buzzed with excitement.
"President: Momo Yaoyorozu. Vice President: Tenya Iida."
Momo blinked in surprise before standing. "Thank you for trusting me with this role. I'll do my best to lead responsibly."
Kenji clapped along with the others, glad his vote had contributed to her victory.
The USJ Assignment
After the elections, Aizawa introduced the next part of the day's training: a practical rescue exercise at the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or USJ.
"Rescue scenarios are as important as combat," Aizawa explained. "Today, you'll be working in various simulated disaster zones to practice saving lives."
The class was intrigued, and the energy in the room shifted to excitement.
When they arrived at the USJ, the scale of the facility left the students awestruck. The dome-shaped structure housed a variety of terrains, from flood zones to landslides. Pro Hero Thirteen stood at the entrance, ready to brief them.
"Rescue work isn't just about using your Quirks," Thirteen said. "It's about minimizing harm while maximizing effectiveness. Remember: with great power comes great responsibility."
Kenji nodded along, taking the lesson to heart.
A Sudden Invasion
Just as Thirteen finished speaking, a chilling sensation swept through the room. A dark, swirling mist began to form near the center of the USJ. From it emerged a group of villains, led by a pale, disheveled man with hands covering his body.
Aizawa immediately stepped forward, activating his Quirk. "Stay behind me. This isn't a drill."
The students froze, their earlier excitement replaced by fear. Kenji's heart pounded as he stepped closer to Momo.
"What do we do?" he whispered.
"We stay calm," she replied, her voice steady despite the tension.
The mist expanded, enveloping the students and scattering them across the facility. Kenji felt a cold rush as the world around him blurred.
Kenji and Momo in the Flood Zone
When Kenji regained his bearings, he found himself knee-deep in water. The flood zone stretched out before him, and beside him stood Momo.
"Are you okay?" she asked, quickly scanning their surroundings.
"Yeah," Kenji replied, shaking off his disorientation. "But this is bad. Those villains mean business."
Momo nodded. "We need to stay together and find the others. But first, we have to deal with them."
She pointed to a group of villains approaching on makeshift rafts.
Kenji ignited a small Sunflare in his palm. "I'll blind them while you prepare something with your Quirk."
"Good idea," Momo said, already materializing a shield and polearm.
As the villains drew closer, Kenji released a burst of light, causing them to shield their eyes. Momo took advantage of the distraction, knocking one of the rafts over with her polearm.
The remaining villains hesitated, giving Kenji and Momo a chance to retreat to higher ground.
Survival and Teamwork
The duo navigated the flood zone carefully, avoiding further confrontations. Along the way, they spotted Thirteen fending off several villains with her Black Hole Quirk.
"We should help her," Kenji said.
Momo hesitated. "We're not ready to face that many villains at once. Our priority is regrouping with the others."
Kenji hated leaving a fight, but he knew she was right.
As they continued, the sound of explosions echoed through the facility. Somewhere, their classmates were fighting for their lives.
"We'll make it through this," Momo said, her tone firm. "Together."
Kenji nodded, feeling a surge of determination. They had to stay strong—not just for themselves, but for their friends.
