Chapter 1341: The Following Month (1)
After the two negotiated back and forth on a split that mostly satisfied both sides, Valyr made his way to his gaming pod while Adrian loaded up one of the various gacha games he had on his phone.
Giving his cousin a heads-up to make food for himself if he were to stay in Greater Beyond for a bit longer, the young man eventually found himself in the world of Veldanyr once more.
Sending a couple of messages to Thomas and the others after readjusting to the strength coursing through his body, Valyr soon made his way out of the village after receiving a message from them on their whereabouts.
Whoosh!
Making use of the spare movement skill he learned and his high agility stat, it did not take long for him to arrive where they were, only to notice that another person was accompanying the three.
"You're here." Waiting by the periphery of the Verdant Woodlands, Thomas immediately waved his hands in the air after taking notice of Valyr.
"How's recruitment going?" Waving his hands in return, the young man gave Meria and Lucques a faint smile before giving the person that accompanied them a faint nod.
"We've already got a few messages while you were gone, around 10 of them were eager to join," replied Thomas, with the two adding their own bits of information on the matter. "However, they'll probably take a few more days to get to the village."
"That's fine." Valyr nodded in understanding. "Don't really have much plans to go anywhere else for the meantime."
"Anyways, this person is…?" he asked after that, shifting the focus of their conversation towards the person that accompanied them.
"Ah." Thomas smiled in response, urging the dark-haired woman beside her to take a step forward. "This is the friend I was talking about. Alisa Mitchell."
"It's been a while," said Alisa after he was done talking, giving Valyr a slight grin. "Quite surprised you still remembered the time I helped you guys out during the Valma Costa raid."

"With the loot we got from that raid, how could I possibly forget?" answered Valyr in response, letting out a bit of laughter as the atmosphere between them became less awkward.
"The name's Valyr," said the young man after that as he extended his hand. "In here, I go by the name Ataraxia."
"Alisa." The woman nodded as she returned the handshake. "I go by Blossoming_Lilac here."
"I'll keep that in mind." Valyr smiled in return. "Mind if I call you Lilac instead?"
"Feel free."
"Alright." Valyr nodded in thanks. "Thomas has already informed you of the guild, right?"
"Azure Coalition?" Alisa pondered for a bit before nodding. "Yeah. He even told me about how joining the guild instantly gives you 10 points on all stats."
"It does, actually." The young man let out a slight chuckle. "Our guild also increases the amount of XP and gold you obtain by a decent amount."
"What type of guild is the Azure Coalition?" asked Alisa in response to that. "I've heard that you could choose between multiple types."
"All-around," responded Valyr with a healthy dose of confidence, which gave her a rough idea of the ambitions he had.
"Of course, since it's still the early game, there's no point in spreading the guild's priorities thin," he added after that. "Consider it a mercenary guild for now."
"…Alright." Alisa nodded, only to then give Valyr yet another smile.
"So, how do I sign up?"
…
After inducting Alisa into the guild, the five went ahead and cleared the Cave of Beginnings a few times at Medium difficulty, giving their new member the opportunity to upgrade the equipment she currently had.
Naturally, Alisa noticed during their runs that the four were able to defeat their enemies with ease, causing her to ask them how they were able to do it.
In response, Valyr looked at the four and asked them to keep his next words a secret.
It was only after that did he start explaining the existence of the Reinforcement Elixirs that he had given Thomas and the others.
Considering that Thomas already knew of it beforehand due to the two of them talking about it, it was no surprise that he remained calm while the other three looked at Valyr in disbelief.
Letting out a chuckle in response to their reactions, the young man eventually promised Alisa to get her a batch of Reinforcement Elixirs within the next few days, reminding her not to pick a class in the meantime.
After that, the days that followed more or less became a blur to the five.
With how much time they were spending in Greater Beyond, it was no surprise that the five began to get closer than ever before, with the four making Alisa feel as if they'd known each other for more than just a few days.
Yet, even when clearing dungeons, the five showed impeccable teamwork, needing next to no reminders from one another as they deftly killed all of the enemies that came at them.
In fact, due to Alisa's stats leaning more towards being placed in the frontlines, the five slowly began to run the Cave of Beginnings at Hard difficulty more often, finding it easier than ever before with two tanks in the frontlines.
Aside from that, the number of members that were part of the Azure Coalition slowly began to increase, with most of them being tempted by the fact that all their stats would go up by 10 the moment they joined.
Fortunately, all of them showed the willingness to listen and learn from Valyr and the others' advice, as well as adapt them into their own styles, allowing the members to form a tight-knit relationship with one another.
Because of how strong the members of the guild were in comparison to average players at the same level, the Azure Coalition slowly began to gain recognition amongst the other players as an important guild to join.
Unsurprisingly, this caused the number of members within the guild to swiftly balloon, with a couple of members joining the ranks of the Azure Coalition with each passing day in Veldanyr.
In the end, almost an entire month in the game had passed in this manner.
