MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1385: Fulfilling the Agreement

"…I presume the journey here wasn't too rough on you?"

Glancing at the young man that appeared at her door, Mystia gave Valyr a slight smile as she motioned for him to sit near her.

"It… was definitely interesting, to say the least," replied the young man after some time, his mind briefly going over the journey he took to get to the Meltierre Heavenly Court as he sat down.

After receiving a message from Mystia to head to where they last met up, Valyr went ahead and made his way to the Astella Coliseum in the shortest time possible, only to find out that a small group of individuals were waiting for him.

Hearing that they would be escorting him directly to the Meltierre Heavenly Court, the young man briefly gave them a puzzled look before nodding in response, wondering if the journey they'd take would involve using teleportation halls.

After all, if they wanted to get to Meltierre Heavenly Court in the shortest time, the best way was to make use of the teleportation halls the class guilds had.

However, contrary to what he had in mind, the group of individuals instead wrapped the young man in their mana, forming a sturdy barrier around him before proceeding to zoom through the air at a speed at least five times the speed of sound.

"…Why did they do that instead of just using the teleportation halls though, Miss Mystia?" Eventually, after thinking about his experience for a bit more, the young man decided to ask the woman in front of him for clarification.

"After all, wouldn't that be the faster option?"

"It is." Mystia nodded in agreement, only to give the young man a slight teasing smile. "But the journey would have been boring if that's the case."

"Then again, it's not like I had you go through that for no reason."

"Think about it for a second, Ataraxia." She continued to smile at him. "What else did you notice while you were traveling over the air?"

"What else…?" Though Valyr looked back at her with a slightly confused expression in response, the gears in his mind began to turn as he thought back to the journey he took to get to where he currently was.

At first, the young man only took note of the fact that they were moving at a speed that rivaled the speed of the supersonic airplanes back on Earth.

However, as more and more time passed, Valyr began to shift his attention elsewhere, eventually finding himself mulling over the way the individuals manipulated their mana around him.

"…" With that realization in mind, the young man closed his eyes for a bit as the aura he gave off underwent a subtle change.

Nevertheless, once she felt this subtle change occur, the smile on Mystia's face widened, prompting her to let out laughter the moment Valyr opened his eyes once more. "It seems you've figured it out."

"Only a small part of it." The young man bitterly smiled in return. "Just to confirm, you wanted me to focus on how they controlled their mana, right?"

"Exactly." Mystia nodded in affirmation. "Although it might seem like the way they controlled their mana around you is fanciful at first, that exact movement is actually the key in order for one to concoct the Nascent Rebirth Elixir successfully."

"Ah?" Valyr looked back at her in surprise after hearing those words.

In his mind, he thought that the reason why Mystia wanted him to focus on it was because she wanted to teach him a better way to control mana.

'Who knew it would actually have something to do with the Nascent Rebirth Elixir,' thought the young man to himself, only to then shake his head soon after.

'Then again, I wouldn't be brought here if that weren't the case.'

"While you familiarize yourself with that specific energy movement, let me ask you a question first, Ataraxia," said Mystia not long after she was done explaining. "Did you consume the other items I've given to you yet?"

"No." Valyr shook his head. "Is it needed?"

"Not necessarily…" Mystia paused for a bit as she found the right words to say. "But consuming them beforehand does increase your chances of successfully concocting the elixir."

"Especially if you consume the Mystic Infusion Pills I gave you."

'…I see.' Hearing those words, Valyr immediately understood what he was going to do later.

'Concocting the Nascent Rebirth Elixir involves making use of Mystic Rune Alchemy, huh?'

Although he hadn't found much time recently to improve his understanding of Mystic Rune Alchemy, Valyr was still able to polish his control over it thanks to his decision of selling Basic Reinforcement Elixirs in the past.

Then again, considering that he hadn't even touched Mystic Energy in his current identity aside from the times he used [Soul Fusion], the young man began to feel doubt towards his chances of concocting the elixir.

Though, as he thought about the topic he and Mystia talked about earlier, that doubt gradually began to disappear. 'I'm guessing the energy movement Mystia wanted me to focus on simplifies the concoction process of the elixir?'

'Well… she wouldn't bring it up if that wasn't the case.'

Deciding not to think about concocting the elixir for the meantime, Valyr went ahead and did what Mystia told him.

Swoosh!

Taking out the Mystic Infusion Pills from his spatial bracelet, the young man went ahead and consumed them one by one, swiftly increasing the amount of Mystic Energy he had by 500 points.

Whoosh!

Then, after acclimating himself to the reserve of pure-white energy that now existed in his body, he then took out the set of Intermediate Reinforcement Elixirs he got from Mystia, deciding to give the Basic Reinforcement Elixirs to one of the guild members after everything was done.

Ding!

Receiving a series of notifications soon after regarding the increase in stats, as well as the skill that came along with the set, the young man took a bit of time to adjust his slightly improved stats before bringing out the True Rebirth Pill he got from his spatial bracelet.

Swoosh!

Glancing at the pill he held for a brief moment, Valyr felt a bit of excitement as he thought about how his stats would undergo another massive bump after he consumed it.

Though, before he could even place the pill inside his mouth, a thought suddenly popped up in his mind.

'Now that I think about it…'

'Why didn't the pill come with the Mystic Vial when I first got it?'
