Mobile Suit Wars: Starting with Gundam OO

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: A Fateful Reunion

In a secluded corner near the battlefield, completely untouched by the flames of war, a peculiar squad of mobile suits had taken up position.

"This battle is getting intense. Makes me want to jump in and have some fun."

"Yeah, right. With your skills, you'd just die instantly."

"Haha, fair point."

"Still, the captain really is something. He predicted the outcome from the start and had us withdraw ahead of time."

"You think the captain can capture a Gundam?"

"Even for him, that'd be impossible."

"But what if he actually pulls it off?"

"Then we'll be living the high life! That's a Gundam we're talking about! If we hand it over, we might even get a share in whatever reverse-engineered model they develop."

"A new mobile suit, huh… That's something worth looking forward to."

This group belonged to **Ali Al-Saachez**.

As the saying goes, *birds of a feather flock together*. These men were all warmongers. Some had joined initially for money, but after following Saachez long enough, they too had been influenced. They engaged in kidnappings, poisonings, assassinations—anything to fuel war under the guise of "war brings profits." But in truth, they simply reveled in the chaos of battle.

And so...

**Beep, beep, beep…**

"What's going on? Where's that alarm coming from?"

"Gundam! A Gundam is headed straight for us!"

"Impossible! We're way outside the combat zone!"

"Doesn't matter! Get to your machines—maybe we can—"

"Too late!"

As those final words fell, all movement ceased. The men turned their eyes to the distance, where a blue-and-white mobile suit was speeding toward them.

"H-Hey, boss… What the hell did you do to deserve this kind of wrath? That's *that* Gundam…"

"Haha… We're finished… Completely finished…"

They recognized **Secret Angel**.

Ali Al-Saachez's men didn't even have the will to resist. They merely smiled bitterly in despair, awaiting their inevitable demise.

Before the Gundam even reached their position, its **GN Bits** deployed, sweeping the battlefield with coordinated beams while the **GN Submachine Gun** riddled their mobile suits with fire. Explosions erupted, leaving nothing but craters and burning wreckage.

"You committed so many atrocities… Did you ever consider this day would come?" Yang Hui muttered coldly, watching the inferno below.

After confirming no survivors, **Secret Angel** turned back toward the battlefield. Yang Hui reported in:

**"Rats exterminated. Returning to mission parameters."**

**"Understood. Secret Angel, remain on high alert and monitor the Gundam Meisters until the final phase is complete."**

Yang Hui noticed the stern expression on Huang's face and asked, "You don't look too good. Who pissed you off this time?"

"*Setsuna.* That little bastard exited his cockpit mid-battle. If Lockon hadn't gotten there in time, we'd have lost a Gundam Meister," Huang snapped in frustration.

"Uh…" Yang Hui was momentarily speechless.

Due to **Kati Mannequin**'s unexpected presence on the battlefield, Yang Hui had assumed the butterfly effect might prevent a confrontation with **Ali Al-Saachez**. Yet, ironically, just as he left, Setsuna had run into him anyway.

Given this, it wasn't really Setsuna's fault. Saachez had manipulated him into killing his own parents. Even now, Setsuna was still searching for the true meaning of "God." His past haunted him deeply.

In the original timeline, it was **Lockon Stratos' sacrifice** that ultimately led to Setsuna's enlightenment. But with Yang Hui around, that tragedy would never come to pass. Still, for Setsuna to truly grow, **Ali Al-Saachez was an unavoidable hurdle** in his journey.

Frankly, Yang Hui thought Setsuna was handling it well. If **Neil and Lyle Dylandy** knew the truth—that Saachez was the man who murdered their parents and sister—they wouldn't care about the mission. They'd chase him to the ends of the earth for revenge.

Huang continued, "We're entering Phase Five of the plan now. Phase Six starts soon. Get over here fast—who knows what other variables might pop up."

"Got it. But don't worry too much. Kati's confirmed her retreat—she was probably AEU's trump card. I can't think of anything else they might have left."

"Let's hope so."

After the transmission ended, Yang Hui shrugged. He figured he'd need to comfort Huang later—after all, if not for his presence, Setsuna and **Exia** would have been in real danger. In a way, this meant **Huang had lost to Kati Mannequin once again.**

As expected, the rest of the mission proceeded smoothly. The five Gundams navigated through the canyon undetected, bypassed enemy reconnaissance, and **obliterated Moralia's command base**. The surviving officers surrendered, marking the mission's success.

However, instead of heading straight back to **Wang Liu Mei's private island**, Yang Hui followed the Gundam Meisters to their temporary base.

---

As soon as they landed, the tension boiled over.

**Smack!**

The moment Setsuna disembarked, Neil **punched him square in the face**. The others didn't intervene.

"You know why you got hit, don't you?" Neil's voice was heavy. "As a Gundam Meister, you and your solar furnace hold an **S-class confidentiality level**. Why the hell did you expose yourself in front of the enemy?"

Neil had a headache. He knew Setsuna wouldn't do something so reckless without reason. But as the team's eldest, he needed to set an example.

Yet Setsuna remained silent.

This only frustrated Neil more. Mistakes could be forgiven, but at least explain yourself! If he just stood there wordlessly, it made things difficult.

Tired of the silence, **Tieria Erde pulled out his gun and aimed it at Setsuna**.

"If you refuse to speak, then for the sake of the plan, I will execute you here."

Although Tieria wasn't as emotionally distant as in the original timeline, his **highest priority was still Celestial Being's mission**. He would eliminate anything that jeopardized the plan—even a teammate.

Neil and Lyle quickly snatched the gun from Tieria's hands.

"Stand down, Tieria!"

"If we let his foolishness go unpunished, it could jeopardize all of us! The plan has only just begun—we can't afford setbacks!"

"I won't leave. I won't abandon **Exia**. I am a Gundam Meister!"

Setsuna raised his gun, pointing it at Tieria.

Tension skyrocketed.

Just as the situation was about to spiral out of control, **Yang Hui stepped in**.

"Okay, okay, what the hell is this? If you've got problems, settle them like men—with your fists. What's with all the guns? **Put it away, Setsuna.**"

"Wait, Maelin-sensei…"

"What are you even saying…?"

The three trying to defuse the situation were dumbfounded. **Was he seriously encouraging a fistfight?!** Was he trying to make things worse?

Yet midway through their protest, their mouths fell open.

Because **Setsuna actually obeyed** and lowered his gun.

Yang Hui then casually took Lyle's gun and tossed it back to Tieria. "And you—aren't you too old to be picking fights with a kid? You should be embarrassed."

"Na-NANI?!"

"Alright, Setsuna—tell us. Why did you leave your cockpit mid-mission?" Yang Hui ignored Tieria's livid expression and focused on Setsuna.

Setsuna's expression was complicated. He still hesitated to speak.

But silence didn't mean Yang Hui didn't know.

"You encountered **Ali Al-Saachez**, didn't you?"

**"What!?"**

Everyone was stunned. Setsuna's eyes widened in disbelief, while the Dylandy brothers' gazes burned with hatred.

"The only person who could make you lose control mid-battle is him. According to intel, after betraying you, Saachez joined PMC and became the **most notorious mercenary in the world**—even instigating several wars himself." Yang Hui tossed a **quantum storage device** to Setsuna.

"It's all in there. Read it. I kept him alive for you three to deal with—**you can decide who gets to finish him off.**"

Setsuna and the Dylandy brothers were speechless. After a moment, Neil and Lyle bowed in gratitude, while Setsuna gave a firm nod.

"But let me make this clear—if any of you lose control over this, I'll handle him myself." Yang Hui sighed. "Damn bastards… Do you even know how much effort I have to put into comforting her after this?"

"Uh… Haha…"

Everyone awkwardly laughed, knowing full well that **pissing off Huang meant certain doom.**

And just like that, **the tense standoff was defused**—all thanks to Yang Hui's completely absurd yet effective approach.
