Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Miserable Muzan
At this moment, inside the Infinity Castle—
The boss, Muzan Kibutsuji, was scolding his subordinates.
"Useless trash! You've consumed so many humans, yet none of you can even withstand a fraction of my blood."
It was clear that many powerful demons had perished during the selection process for the Twelve Kizuki.
All the demons knelt on the ground, trembling with fear.
The only one Muzan ever collaborated with was Kokushibo.
Everyone else? Overworked, unpaid subordinates.
And they were frequently subjected to Muzan's mental abuse.
Looking at his utterly worthless underlings, Muzan was seething with rage.
Hundreds of years had passed, yet these gluttonous fools still hadn't found the Blue Spider Lily.
"Forget it. Right now, I have use for you trash. Just stay within the Infinity Castle for now."
With a wave of his hand, Muzan dismissed his subordinates.
One by one, the demons withdrew.
Soon, only Muzan remained in the vast Infinity Castle.
As he recalled that terrifying swordsman, the wounds on his body—still unhealed—throbbed with pain.
These useless underlings... Fine, let them live another twenty years.
Once he was certain that swordsman capable of killing him was dead, he would wipe them all out and replace them.
And as for the Demon Slayer Corps?
Annoying flies deserved to be swatted.
---
As the demons retreated, Lord Ubuyashiki gave a slight bow to Ren Asakura.
"I must trouble you, Ren-sama."
"Got it."
Ren Asakura glanced around before snapping his fingers.
A black portal suddenly appeared beneath everyone's feet.
Its destination—the Infinity Castle.
Honestly, Ren Asakura did want to have some fun playing with these little demons.
But he recalled the promise he had made to Yoriichi in the chat group—not to interfere unnecessarily.
For the sake of maintaining his dignity as the group leader, Ren Asakura had to suppress the overwhelming urge to drag all the demons into the sunlight for a mass sunbathing session.
---
Inside the Infinity Castle—
Muzan was reading through ancient texts detailing the Blue Spider Lily.
At that moment, he sensed something and looked up.
His gaze locked onto Yoriichi.
Familiar eyes.
Familiar face.
Familiar clothing.
Familiar sword.
That blade—glowing red—wreathed in crimson flames.
Without hesitation, Yoriichi prepared to unleash Sun Breathing: Thirteenth Form.
Unlike Kamado Tanjiro, who needed to cycle through the twelve forms continuously to achieve the Thirteenth Form, Yoriichi could complete an entire cycle in an instant.
Twelve Techniques Compressed into One
Twelve forms, condensed into a single technique.
Muzan Kibutsuji watched in utter confusion as Yoriichi and the entire Demon Slayer Corps descended upon him from above.
Confusion quickly turned into shock.
Shock turned into fear.
That man had returned.
Through the Transparent World, Yoriichi once again saw Muzan's body—one that surpassed ordinary demons.
Seven hearts.
Five brains.
A storm of imminent danger.
This time, Yoriichi was attacking with full force.
He wouldn't give Muzan a chance to react.
The Hashira all drew their swords.
Before their arrival, Yoriichi had warned them—Muzan wouldn't die even if his head was cut off.
He had to be exposed to sunlight.
Or cut into absolute shreds.
This time, they would all strike together.
---
Flame Hashira, Rengoku Jirou, radiated a terrifying aura of burning rage.
"Flame Breathing: First Form—Unknowing Fire!"
Water Hashira, Suzuki Kinomi—
"Water Breathing: Third Form—Flowing Dance!"
Thunder Hashira, Amano Yoshihide—
"Thunder Breathing: First Form—Thunderclap and Flash!"
Stone Hashira, Dan Ikuma—
"Stone Breathing: Fourth Form—Flowing Stone Rapid Charge!"
Wind Hashira, Fuma Kotaro—
"Wind Breathing: First Form—Dust Whirlwind Cutter!"
All attacks struck simultaneously.
In that crucial moment, Muzan unleashed a massive shockwave.
He had learned his lesson.
Having witnessed the terrifying swordsmanship of Yoriichi before, Muzan had developed techniques specifically to counter it.
But he had underestimated Yoriichi.
The shockwave sent the Hashira and Demon Slayers flying.
Yet Yoriichi broke through it.
He closed the distance in an instant, slashing directly at Muzan.
Crimson flames.
A relentless storm of strikes.
He was even stronger now.
Stronger than their last encounter.
Muzan sprouted countless thorned whips from his body—
But before they could even lash out, they were severed.
Seven hearts.
Five brains.
In an instant, only one heart and one brain remained.
One more strike—
And Muzan would die.
Exploding Clone!
Muzan tried to repeat his old trick.
But when he saw Yoriichi's icy, merciless gaze, he knew—
This time, the swordsman wouldn't let a single piece of him escape.
"You fools! Get over here and help me!"
In the end, Muzan made the smartest decision.
He called for backup.
"Clang!"
The Infinity Castle activated.
In an instant, the Twelve Kizuki appeared, surrounding Muzan.
Yoriichi knew that they, too, were his targets.
Their bodies contained a massive amount of Muzan's blood.
They could not be allowed to live.
The battle erupted.
A dazzling array of Blood Demon Arts filled the air.
But Yoriichi had no patience for theatrics.
Crimson flames surged skyward, forming a colossal dragon that devoured everything in its path.
"Sun Breathing: Eleventh Form—Dragon Ring of the Sun, Head Dance!"
The massive fire dragon crashed through all the Blood Demon Arts.
The Lower Moons froze in place as it barreled toward them.
This level of swordsmanship—
They had never seen anything like it before.
Decapitation.
Four of the six Lower Moons were instantly beheaded.
The remaining two were sliced in half.
Their wounds, inflicted by a Crimson Blade, refused to regenerate.
Pain. Excruciating pain.
The unbearable agony of sunlight scorching their flesh.
How long had it been since they last felt this?
The Hashira, who had been thrown back by the shockwave, recovered.
"Total Concentration Breathing!"
Their hearts pounded like thunder.
Wind Hashira and Water Hashira moved in for the finishing blows.
The two remaining Lower Moons, still writhing in agony—
Were instantly executed.
With the Lower Moons completely annihilated, Muzan had just enough time to flee.
Clang.
Muzan vanished from sight—
And reappeared in another section of the Infinity Castle.
"Damn it! Even after hiding here, they still found me?!"
But no matter how much Muzan ran
He could not escape Ren Asakura's omnipresent awareness.
Now, it was time for the commander to act.
The voice of the Ubuyashiki Clan Leader resonated in everyone's ears.
"Yoriichi-san, go after Muzan. Leave the other demons to the Demon Slayer Corps."
A black portal opened before Yoriichi.
Through it, he could see Muzan, gravely wounded.
He didn't hesitate.
With the group leader here, the others wouldn't die.
Muzan barely had a moment to catch his breath before he saw—
That man was chasing him again.
And in his hands—
A Crimson Blade, wreathed in terrifying red flames.
"Damn it!"
He ran.
Yoriichi pursued.
There was nowhere to hide.
Clang.
Muzan shifted locations again.
But the next second—
Yoriichi leaped out from another black portal.
One swift slash—
And Muzan's head was severed.
Clang.
Muzan vanished once more.
Another black portal appeared.
Fortunately, this was Muzan's domain.
The Infinity Castle shifted at his command.
If it weren't for that, he would've been reduced to dust by now.
