Multiversal Selection 2 My Hero Academia Inazuma

Chapter 88: Chapter 87 Mission Complete.

Seeing that One For All had the risk of becoming the next Quirk Singularity, the vestiges of One For All had decided to end it with this generation.

The Quirk Singularity that Garaki had mentioned would come to pass—there was no doubt about that. But it was best for the still-developing world not to face it just yet. The world needed to grow stronger before it could handle such a challenge.

Inside the depths of One For All, where the remnants of its previous wielders resided, the First User of One For All spoke to both Deku and Inazuma, who had come to visit them.

"Deku, we have decided to end One For All with your generation. After your death, it will completely vanish from this world," Shigaraki said gently, watching as tears welled up in Deku's eyes.

"We know it will be difficult for you to accept that all of us will be gone, but the truth is, we are merely echoes—fragments left behind when the Quirk was passed down. In a way, the real us have already died. Nana will remain for some time so that her grandson can maintain a connection to his family, but in your case, our continued presence would only hold you back instead of pushing you forward."

He let out a deep breath, which made me wonder whether vestiges even needed to breathe, but I chose not to voice my thoughts aloud.

"I know you have much to discuss with the other users, so I won't keep you here any longer," Shigaraki said, pointing to a door. Deku nodded and walked through it, leaving only Inazuma and Shigaraki behind.

"What do you want to talk to me about?" Inazuma asked, realizing that Shigaraki had separated him from the others for a private conversation.

"Has the Shigaraki in your universe caused the same level of destruction as the one here?"

"I come from the time of the I-Island battle. It hasn't reached that level yet," Inazuma replied.

"Can you save him—better than we did in this world, where the only way for the child to find peace was to destroy everything that made him who he was?"

Inazuma closed his eyes. He thought about every decision he had made so far. Before arriving in this dimension, he had considered letting things unfold as they did in the canon timeline. But after witnessing the destruction in this world, he had begun to question that choice.

Initially, he had been hesitant to alter the timeline, but after seeing the final fate forced upon Tenko Shimura and having a conversation with Karna, he made his decision. He would completely break the canon once he returned.

Inazuma opened his eyes.

"I'm going to end it the day I go back—once and for all. The Shigaraki in my world hasn't committed crimes so severe that I wouldn't be able to put him in an asylum where he could slowly be rehabilitated. And with the knowledge I have now, I'll be able to save him, Dabi, and many others."

"When I return, I won't hesitate. The people I need to take down have already committed enough crimes to face my judgment," Inazuma declared.

Shigaraki stood up and approached him, a small smile forming on his face. He extended his hand, and Inazuma reciprocated, shaking it firmly.

"One For All will end today in this world. The only thing that remains is Izuku Midoriya, who will carry the quirks compiled within One For All until his death. After that, no one will ever inherit it again. Although there is a small chance that his descendants may awaken quirks similar to those possessed by past wielders of One For All, that will be a trial for future generations to face," Shigaraki declared.

[Mission Completed]

Inazuma heard the voice in his head confirming that the mission was finished. One For All had not completely disappeared, but it would remain with Izuku Midoriya until the end of his life. With that settled, Inazuma could now return to his own world without any problems.

The villains who had incited chaos would pay for their crimes in prison, with the major leaders receiving lengthy sentences and facing restrictions even after their eventual release.

However, consideration was given to those who had fought for the revolution due to their circumstances. Many had suffered discrimination and abuse simply for being born with mutant quirks, which led them to join the cause. In the end, most of them had refrained from attacking the hospital after being swayed by the words of the hero students. Taking this into account, the government decided that these individuals would serve community service as punishment—work that would continue until the destroyed areas of Japan were fully rebuilt. Additionally, their grievances would be acknowledged, and steps would be taken to eliminate the discrimination against mutant quirk users.

The ones who had declared war against oppression understood that their battle would be long and difficult. They openly admitted this in media briefings but vowed to see it through, no matter the cost.

The time for me to return had finally arrived.

I met with Eri and many others, even though most of them did not share the deep bonds with me that their counterparts in my home world did.

"Take care of yourself, Inazuma-kun," Nezu said. "And do your best to ensure that your world never faces the same fate as ours in these past few months."

"I will," I replied, feeling power surge within me. The system informed me that I only needed to break the dimensional barrier—Jason would handle the rest.

I took off running toward the sea. I knew the speeds I was about to reach shouldn't be unleashed in a populated area, and I was right. After several miles, I let loose my full power. The force displaced a massive amount of water—not enough to cause a tsunami, but certainly enough to destroy several buildings if they were nearby.

As I ran, a blue portal appeared in the distance. Without hesitation, I rushed toward it at full speed and plunged into the unknown.

A/N-Hope you liked this arc. It was a great way to explore what would happen if Inazuma had been present during the final war in the canon world. Also, it looks like my second book will wrap up before reaching 100 chapters. The next few chapters will be the final arc. Unlike the other Flashes who failed to finish the job, Inazuma is going to make sure it's truly over.

Every 100 powerstone gets extra chapter of Jason guys.

Next chapter will be updated first on this website. Come back and continue reading tomorrow, everyone!
