Chapter 329: Chapter 325: Encounter and Ritual

Academy City has a population of 2.3 million, which means the chance of randomly encountering someone on the streets is extremely low. In this vast city, only a handful of people know Li Mo: Kamijou Touma, Frenda Seivelun, Kakine Teitoku...

Oh, and according to the timeline, Kakine Teitoku has already been defeated by Accelerator.

Sitting on a park bench with his eyes closed, Li Mo reflected on the recent events. The conclusion of the dark side battle the other day was Kakine Teitoku's defeat at the hands of Accelerator—even though Accelerator was brain-damaged and needed an electrode to assist his calculations, Kakine was still no match for him.

In fact, Accelerator didn't even need to use his **Black Wings** to completely dominate Kakine. So, just how monstrous was Accelerator at his peak?

Having fought Kakine himself, Li Mo couldn't even imagine how strong Accelerator was before his brain damage.

However, Accelerator's true strength lay in the **Platinum Wings**, which were created under specific conditions, forming a third tree independent of the **Tree of Life** and the **Tree of Evil**. In terms of hierarchy, it was comparable to **Aiwass**, the Holy Guardian Angel. It could even pose a threat to the **Magic Gods**, albeit after they had been significantly weakened.

But that was something that wouldn't happen until after **World War III**... Thinking about it, it seemed like Academy City would come to a standstill around December, right?

Closing his eyes and enjoying the sunlight, Li Mo appreciated the clear, cloudless autumn sky. It was a rare and beautiful day.

Pushing aside thoughts of Kamijou Touma's hectic schedule, Li Mo focused all his attention on sensing his surroundings. From a mystical perspective, he combined his growing knowledge with his perception of the world around him.

Academy City reminded Li Mo of **Thelema**, the philosophical and magical system created by Aleister Crowley. Considering that this city was the brainchild of the Board Chairman...

**"Every man and every woman is a star."**

This was one of the core concepts of Thelema, and it aligned well with the definition of espers.

But how exactly had Aleister Crowley achieved this? That was something Li Mo couldn't decipher.

He didn't even know how to interpret the **Book of the Law**.

Among the 103,000 Grimoires in Index's possession, the **Book of the Law** was included, but there was no interpretation provided. How was he supposed to read it?

Refocusing his mind, Li Mo could confirm that the **"Imaginary Number District - Five Elements Institution"** existed in every corner of this city. The **AIM Diffusion Fields** emitted by every esper were the foundation stones of the **"Imaginary Number District."**

He was already within the **Artificial Heaven**, a place where the number of magicians became a laughable concept...

The information and data he had gathered were sufficient. The modifications to **Angel Fall** were complete.

—Using the concept of **Kazakiri Hyouka**, the artificial angel, and the existence of the **Artificial Heaven**, Li Mo could replace **Sasha Kreutzev**, the Russian sorcerer, to pull an angel down to the earth.

Now, he could act...

"Excuse me, do you need help?"

A gentle female voice reached his ears. Li Mo opened his eyes to see a girl wearing a school uniform, a red scarf around her neck, and a flower wreath on her head. Her short black hair and light brown eyes, along with her slightly thick eyebrows, made her instantly recognizable.

**Uiharu Kazari?**

Oh, right, she was a **Judgment** member. This was **District 7**, after all.

Academy City wasn't that big. With 23 districts, it might seem large, but the actual area wasn't that extensive.

Especially since this was District 7.

"Judgment?"

"Yes, do you need help, sir?"

Sir? Li Mo hadn't expected to hear that term in this world. He glanced down at his clothes—since he had adapted to local customs, he had bought some clothes in Academy City. The style was trendy, and he had used Frenda's money to purchase them.

Considering his age, although he was in his twenties, his appearance as a transcendent being made him look no different from a young adult.

"Uh, sir?" Uiharu Kazari hesitated, changing her address. She realized that the person before her might be a university student—Academy City did have universities. Recently...

"No need to apologize. I don't require any assistance. Thank you for your concern, Miss Uiharu."

"Huh? You know me?"

"**Guardian**," Li Mo said, mentioning a name. "All information about espers in Academy City is stored in the **Tree Diagram**. Accessing the Tree Diagram is equivalent to accessing all the information in Academy City. Yet, the Tree Diagram has never been breached. In the hacker world, there's a legend that the Tree Diagram is protected by the **Guardian**."

**Guardian**.

This was a term leaning toward the mystical, but when applied to Uiharu Kazari, it was merely a descriptor.

This seemingly ordinary girl possessed exceptional hacking skills. On one occasion, she even intercepted **Misaka Mikoto**, a Level 5 esper, when she tried to hack into the Tree Diagram.

"I... I just know a little about hacking. Thank you for the compliment, but how do you know about this, sir?" Uiharu Kazari was puzzled. Only those within the Judgment system knew about her activities as a hacker, and she had never seen this man in the system before.

"Don't sell yourself short, Miss Uiharu. In fact, you have your own potential. If you could fully unleash it, you could become someone like **Accelerator** or **Dark Matter**," Li Mo said.

Accelerator, Dark Matter.

Uiharu Kazari knew these names. As a friend of a Level 5 esper, she was well aware of the titles of the **#1** and **#2** espers.

The girl quickly waved her hands in denial. "No way, I'm just a low-level esper."

A low-level esper, or Level 1.

Such espers' abilities were almost useless in daily life.

Li Mo shook his head.

Uiharu Kazari, in the later stages, had the output of a Level 5. Under certain conditions, she managed to restrain a rampaging Misaka Mikoto and the **Dragon of Angels**. The former was a Level 5 esper, while the latter was something deeply connected to the mysterious entity within Kamijou Touma.

—When Li Mo first looked into this, he was a bit stunned. So, out of the four friends, only **Saten Ruiko** was the one without any special abilities?

Later, using a bit of magic, Li Mo sent Uiharu Kazari on her way. Their encounter was nothing more than a chance meeting, and there was no need for further conversation.

"It's time."

Leaving the park, Li Mo walked into a deserted alley. The restructuring of **Angel Fall** was complete. In this new framework, there was no need for the small trinkets with religious and mystical elements from Kamijou Touya's house.

All he needed was himself and this city to complete the ritual.

**Angel Fall**.

Activate.

And so, the angel, a being of higher order, fell to the earth.
