Chapter 25: Dormitory Life Begins
The students buzzed with excitement as they gathered outside the newly assigned dormitory building. The air was filled with chatter and laughter as everyone speculated about what living together would be like. Isagi stood next to May, his heart racing with anticipation. This was his golden opportunity, and he wasn't going to waste it.
"Alright, everyone!" the teacher called out, clapping his hands to get their attention. "You'll be sharing rooms with your assigned partners, and each pair will collaborate on daily tasks and special projects. This is a chance to strengthen bonds and learn teamwork. Make the most of it!"
Isagi glanced at May and found her smiling softly. It made his heart flutter. "Looks like we're stuck together," he said with a playful grin.
"Let's do our best," May replied, her eyes twinkling.
Their room was small but cozy, with two beds, a shared desk, and a large window overlooking the courtyard. Isagi set his bag down and stretched. "Feels like a fresh start, huh?"
May nodded, unpacking her things neatly. "I think this program will be good for everyone."
Just then, the door burst open, and Kaito stumbled in, looking flustered. "You won't believe who I got stuck with! Rin! The guy's like a machine!"
Isagi chuckled. "Good luck with that."
The first day passed in a blur of orientation and icebreaker activities. That evening, the pairs gathered in the common area for their first group meeting.
"We're planning a welcome party," the student leader announced. "Each pair will handle part of the preparations. Isagi and May, you're in charge of decorations."
As they worked together, hanging streamers and blowing up balloons, Isagi felt the tension between them ease. They laughed and joked, their teamwork growing stronger.
Later, as they admired their handiwork, May turned to him. "You're pretty good at this."
"I aim to impress," Isagi teased, making her giggle.
But their peaceful moment was interrupted when Rin walked in, his sharp eyes scanning the room. "Don't get too comfortable, Isagi. This is just the beginning."
Isagi smirked, his competitive spirit ignited. "Bring it on."
The dormitory life was off to an exciting start, and Isagi knew things were only going to get more intense from here.
