Chapter 7: L.O.V.E.
The night at UA was quiet. Most of the students had already gone to bed, the dorms filled with the soft sounds of slumber. Kikidori, as usual, preferred the solitude of his own room. He had drifted off to sleep, his sharp mind finally letting its guard down after the long day.
But while Kikidori slept, someone else had other plans.
Himiko Toga, ever the resourceful villain, had snuck past the UA security. Her obsession with Kikidori had only grown since their last encounter, and she couldn't resist the urge to see him again.
Slipping into the dorms unnoticed, she made her way to Kikidori's room. She pushed the door open silently, her golden eyes gleaming in the dim light. There he was, lying peacefully, his expression calm for once.
She couldn't help but smile.
Toga crept closer, her movements as light as a shadow. She slipped into his bed, curling up beside him as if it were the most natural thing in the world. With a content sigh, she closed her eyes, holding her knife loosely in her hand, and drifted off to sleep.
---
The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. Kikidori stirred, his eyes fluttering open. He blinked a few times, his green and blue eyes adjusting to the light.
Something felt… off.
He turned his head slightly, and that's when he saw her.
Toga was lying beside him, her arms wrapped around him in a loose embrace. Her knife hung limply from her fingers, dangerously close to his chest, but she wasn't holding it with any real intent. She was simply sleeping, her golden hair messy and her face peaceful.
For a moment, Kikidori froze. His mind raced, his sharp instincts kicking in. How had she gotten in here? Why hadn't he noticed?
And yet, despite the danger, another thought crossed his mind.
*For someone who drinks human blood… she smells… good.*
The faint scent of something sweet, almost floral, lingered in the air around her. It was disarming, but Kikidori quickly shook the thought from his mind.
Toga's breathing changed, and her eyes slowly fluttered open. Golden irises met green and blue, locking onto him with an intensity that sent a shiver down his spine.
"Good morning, Kiki~," she said softly, her voice dripping with affection.
Kikidori didn't respond immediately. He just stared at her, his expression unreadable, though his mind was anything but calm.
"What are you doing here?" he finally asked, his tone low and even.
Toga's smile widened as she lazily twirled the knife in her hand. "I missed you, of course. I couldn't stop thinking about you, so I thought… why not spend the night together?"
"You broke into UA," Kikidori said bluntly.
"Well, yeah," Toga replied with a giggle, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "But it was worth it to see you like this. You're so cute when you're sleeping."
Kikidori's eyes narrowed. "Get out."
Toga pouted, leaning in closer. "Aww, don't be like that, Kiki! We had such a nice time last night. Well, I did. You were asleep."
He didn't flinch as she leaned in, her golden eyes staring deeply into his. "You're really no fun, you know that? But that's okay. I love that about you."
Toga suddenly sat up, stretching her arms above her head. "Fine, fine. I'll leave for now. But I'll be back~. You can't get rid of me that easily."
She stood, twirling her knife once more before tucking it into her pocket. She turned to face him one last time, her smile soft but her gaze unwavering.
"Sweet dreams, Kiki," she said, her voice almost tender.
And with that, she slipped out of the room as silently as she had entered, leaving Kikidori alone.
He stared at the door for a long moment, his mind a whirlwind of thoughts. This wasn't just an obsession—it was something far more dangerous.
And yet, as he lay back down, trying to make sense of what had just happened, he couldn't shake the lingering scent of her from his mind.
*What a pain,* he thought to himself.
