My Martial Spirit is Nanobot

Chapter 381 Rune Academy

Leo's eyes widened hearing his explanation, and then he hurriedly asked, "Wait, wait, you said my height will increase by practicing each diagram; then it means I will reach the twelve-stage legendary giant after practicing the twelfth diagram."

Rebook nodded calmly and then spoke, "Yes, if your talent is good, then you can reach a legendary giant level in a year; even if it's extremely bad, it will take at least ten years, much faster than natural growth. That's why the emperor made this practice mandatory for empire residents."

"Amazing, this exercise is truly amazing. Tell me about the second cycle. Will my height exceed twelve meters?" Leo praised, and then he realized something and asked,

Rebook shook his head and replied, "No, twelve meters is the limit a giant can reach; pushing above that will result in genetic collapse."

Leo was surprised again and then became confused. Rebook explained further after seeing his confusion.

"There is a buffer period after completing each cycle; this buffer period is known as physical readjustment. After reaching the twelfth stage, you will practice the exercise in reverse to compress your physical height back to one meter by removing extra blood and bone, leaving behind pure essence. Doing so will retain your power from all previous cycles, and then you can grow up again to the twelve stages and repeat the process again."

Leo was stupefied, standing in a daze looking at Reebok, and then after a while he returned to his senses.

He glanced at the Rebook with an extremely burning gaze and spoke,

"Hurry up, teach me, and guide me through this practice; I can't wait to complete billions of cycles."

Hearing his word, Rebook's expression froze, and then he nodded calmly, "I hope you can complete it."

After speaking, Rebook waved his hand and zoomed out the first diagram in front of Leo and spoke, "Leo, take the stance and imitate the figure inside this first diagram; I will correct your errors."

Leo nodded. He started imitating the first diagram. Rebook pointed out some mistakes and adjusted his stance.

On the other hand, giants in the whole empire were shocked by the content of the guidebook.

No one rejected such a good thing, and soon the practice frenzy began.

A few days passed,

Lin Lee, standing inside the hall, glanced at the detailed progress report of the giant civilization.

After a while, his brow furrowed, looking at the data of the giant's physical change after practice.

"Red, why did the death rate increase after practicing the universal exercise? Is there any problem with the exercise?"

Lin Lee asked thoughtfully, looking at the death reports of countless giants,

"No sir, it doesn't seem so. The death occurred because of the carelessness; a lot of old giants practiced the exercise without absorbing the potion, which resulted in the acceleration of their life consumption and depletion of potential. I have already noticed and reminded all the practitioners."

Red replied and reminded that she has dealt with it; he will soon see the new and better performance reports.

Lin Lee nodded and didn't care; he knew death is always a gift one can receive after carelessness.

Lin Lee then thought of something and asked,

"Tell me about Leo."

"He is doing fine; he is very talented. He already completed the five diagrams in these past five days; now he is practicing the sixth diagram," Red replied, floating in front of him.

Lin Lee nodded and then said, "Very good, provide him with continuous resources; I want to train him as the successor of the runic empire as soon as possible."

"I understand," Red nodded and then disappeared with a flicker.

Lin Lee then glanced in the direction of the rune academy building far away. The main building of the empire is located a level above all other buildings, and he resides on top of the main empire building in order to oversee everything in the empire.

"The runic academy will start recruiting new students; he will probably take admission in the academy."

Lin Lee muttered thoughtfully, and then he appeared in the middle of the hall and sat cross-legged after passing the seventh and eighth cycles.

He found out a new way of practice changed a little; by virtualizing the practice diagram in his mind, his blood power and physique followed it unconditionally.

After drinking the third-generation potion, a powerful energy pulse spread through his physique. Lin Lee closed his eyes and started absorbing the energy.

A few months passed,

"A major change happened in the empire; nine-stage and above giants started appearing in the streets. Previously, we couldn't find an eleven-stage giant; now I have encountered ten on my way here."

Leo muttered, strolling through the street, looking at the giants around; some are buying stuff from shops, and some are passing on the street like him.

After a while, he stopped in front of a large entrance gate and tall wall surrounding the mountain area; also, there are large quartz crystal-shaped buildings. From a distance, they look like runes written on the ground.

"It's time to admit in the academy; I have already completed the requirements," Leo muttered, his expression becoming firm, and then he walked inside.

Instantly he was surprised looking at the long line of students in the academy; some are the same age as him, while others are bigger than him.

After walking forward, Leo appeared in front of the admission desk and glanced at the female giant on the other side writing the name and details in a large register and sending them to the testing building behind for examination.

"Give me your residence ID," The female staff asked, looking at Leo calmly,

Leo nodded and passed the ID card; the female staff nodded and recorded all his details, then she pointed at the one of the door behind her and passed the token and said, "Go inside that door; it will test your rune mastery and give you a score. Best of luck."

"Thank you," Leo said, and then he grabbed the token and walked toward the door.

After walking inside, the whole room instantly lighted up, and a familiar old figure in red appeared in front of him; at the same time, a table containing colorful metal pieces on it appeared in front of him.

"Mr. Leo, I am here to test your rune mastery; please engrave all those runes you mastered on these metal pieces."

Leo nodded and then glanced at the pieces; he was surprised looking at the colorful metal.

'Elemental metals, as expected of Rune Academy, they are using such expensive metal resources for mere examination,'

Leo thought to himself, and then he grabbed the red metal piece and then grabbed the engraving pen.

At the same time, blood mist power released from his palm covered the pen, and then he started engraving the combination of five sub-flame runes and then finally connected them to the fire condensation runes.

Leo then grabbed the metal water pieces and started engraving and connecting the rune lines into different sub-runes and then finally joined them as a water control rune.

After thinking for a while, he added another rune above the blue metal piece; instantly, the metal piece shook and contracted, then transformed into a round blue metallic ball with all runes flickering above it.

"I am done," Leo spoke, taking a deep breath. He put down the metallic ball along with the red metal piece and then glanced in the direction of the examiner.

The old man in red was looking at the blue metal piece in shock, and then he glanced at Leo with a bright gaze.

"Congratulations student Leo, you have received the five hundred points, you have engraved five sub-flame runes and five sub-water runes, and also two basic fire and water elemental runes, and one special basic rune."

After congratulating him, instantly the token in Leo's hand flickered and transformed into a metallic card, and his name and score appeared above it.

Leo nodded and thanked the old man in red and then left the examination room.

"He has mastered two elemental basic runes, also a special basic rune; this little guy's future is limitless."

The old figure in red muttered, and then with a flicker, his projection disappeared.

On the other hand,

Leo appeared outside the examination room and appeared in front of the information desk and asked, looking at the staff, "I have passed the test; what should I do next?"

The staff was startled, and then he raised his head, looking at him strangely, and asked, "Didn't the examiner tell you?"

Leo shook his head, recalling the silent expression of that old figure in red; the staff glanced at him shaking his head and then nodded and spoke.

"You can now go home; after three days the admission process will end, and we will announce the admission list."

Leo was startled and then nodded; he turned around and walked outside the academy decisively.

'I have done my best; the rest depends on my scores against other applicants. Anyway, I am sure my name will be on the admission list.'

Leo thought to himself and then brought something from the market for his siblings and then walked toward his home.
