At 7 AM in the morning, Tanaka returned, his body sweating from the immense exercise he'd taken.

Tanaka refreshed himself, drinking water to the maximum capacity. Then, he entered the dormitory and found Nishida, Isaac and James, crumpled on the floor. They looked so exhausted that for a moment Tanaka was worried.

"What happened to you guys?" 

And Nishida looked up at him. 

"How on earth did you do 150 pushups without crumpling like us?" 

Tanaka's eyes widened. 

"You did 150 pushups?" He asked Nishida however Isaac interrupted.

"We couldn't even reach 50." 

Tanaka shook his head and finally extended his hands towards Isaac, then Nishida and James. 

"You shouldn't wear yourselves out for petty things like pushups." 

James sneered. "Says the guy who did 150."

Tanaka shook his head once again. "150 is just an insignificant number. So you do not have to stress over it. Today is my big day—" 

"The day you prove yourself worthy of staying in this school. And with your previous skills, I don't think anyone would recruit you," Isaac said.

Tanaka sighed. "Tsk, tsk, tsk… you still don't believe me. Fine, I know how it feels. I am even a bit nervous." 

Even with these attribute points and talent points, as long as Tanaka had not practiced with actual football, then he was bound to make mistakes. It is almost as if Tanaka could see the future. 

Isaac picked up a towel and washed off the sweats on his body. "Coach Damien came today, Tanaka. We're all meeting him by 12 PM before the game starts. He's going to be changing our positions." 

Nishida then gritted his teeth. 

"I mean, yeah… I used to be the striker and now, I'm being pulled towards the center." 

"Center back?" Tanaka asked and Nishida nodded.

James also had a complaint to make. 

"I became the team's Left back. I'm working side by side with the wingers, which is a petty job on my own part."

Tanaka stared at Isaac ànd muttered. 

"So… you're the midfielder?" 

Isaac's eyes flashed. 

That was correct. 

"Which means, I am the striker?"

Isaac shrugged. "Still, Coach Damien has the final say. He might decide to swap these positions again, and there's nothing anyone would do to change that." 

Tanaka plucked down the soft mattress. 

"I guess it's because I would be playing and probably want me to score a goal." 

"Technically, that makes you the striker. And if you are able to make him proud, you will remain the striker at every football gameplay." James muttered as he ran a hand over his hair.

Tanaka seems to linger…

"Oh Tanaks, Coach Isuryburg came by. He asked about you." Nishida said and Tanaka's eyes widened.

"Wasn't he suspended?" 

Nishida was stunned. 

"He is? I thought he was fired? That's what Isaac said." 

Tanaka shook his head. "Coach Damien is only supervising us temporarily. Isuryburg is our original coach. Let's not forget that!"

Then Tanaka thought of something…

"Shouldn't we like… rehearsing for the game?" 

Isaac suddenly laughed. "Well this isn't a National game, or a Championship game. This is more of our rehearsal. But for you — you need to rehearse before that time." 

Tanaka stared at the horizon for a while and muttered. 

"Isaac, you used to be the Left back and now, you are the midfielder, you haven't midfield before which means you also need rehearsal. Same applies to the rest of you." 

"It isn't hard to play in midfield. It just takes calculation and determination to play in the middle of the field, supporting both the defense and the offense. If I can help maintain possession, create scoring opportunities, and defend against opponents, then midfielding isn't a lot of work here." Isaac said.

Tanaka scoffed. 

"And you think it's as easy as you've said it? What a joke." 

James suddenly sneered. 

"Do you think Isaac is inexperienced like you are? Go online and watch the last game we played with the Blackvan. Isaac had to Midfield and defend at the same time. And he's only one person, whereas you stood there, giving the ball to the opposite team, playing rubbish! What a jerk!"

Tanaka was suddenly hurt by this statement, but he did not let it show. "And this is why I want to prove myself, no prove isn't the right word. I want to replay the game and win back the coaches' trust in me."

Nishida immediately added. "I also don't know why we are even agreeing to this idea of yours. I mean, two days isn't enough for a bad player to improve, right?" 

Isaac picks it up from where Nishida dropped it.

"You'll only end up embarrassing yourself — again. This time, you'll be gone for good." Isaac's gaze was piercing that for a moment, Tanaka felt chills run up his spine. 

'Ah, shit. Aèos are you hearing this?'

'How many attribute points exactly?'

'I mean, what the hell?? Why are you so stingy? The points are too low!!'

Tanaka's eyes widened in horror. 

The punishment for failure is actually so terrifying that at this moment, Tanaka refused to fail. Even, the rewards itself wouldn't compare to 30 attribute points, deducted from him.

'I'm sorry oh great God of wisdom, please forgive me and alter the task. I'm playing a game today and need your assistant, not — trying to find Mountain Everest???'
